Orange Goblin - Down - North America Tour - promo flyer - 2014

With ORANGE GOBLIN‘s Back From The Abyss full-length now three weeks away from release, the band has confirmed the first North American tour in support of the record. Set to begin December 1st and run through December 21st, ORANGE GOBLIN will return to the stage touring alongside Down, Bl’ast, and labelmates, King Parrot!

Vocalist Ben Ward comments, “I remember being a spotty 19-year-old rushing out to the record store to buy the first Down album NOLA the very day it came out in 1994. Now, twenty years on, I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming that ORANGE GOBLIN are heading back to North America as main support to the mighty Down. It really is fairytale stuff for us. Down are one of the bands that are the reason ORANGE GOBLIN exists. To be given this opportunity to go out to promote our brand new album, Back From The Abyss, to the Down fans is just a dream come true the rest of the band and I can’t wait to get started. The fact that we also get to see Bl’ast and King Parrot every night just makes it all so hard to believe! Hail the Leaf! Hail the RIFF! Hail DOWN!”

Recorded earlier this year, Back From The Abyss reunites ORANGE GOBLIN with producer Jamie Dodd; who served as producer on the band’s best-selling album in North America to date – 2012’s A Eulogy For The Damned. Two songs already have fans globally excited; Loudwire and Metal Hammer premiered the Motörhead-tinged “The Devil’s Whip” to overwhelming success on August 15th. Last week Noisey premiered the first video from the album for the song “Sabbath Hex.” The band is currently working on a second video for the song “Mythical Knives” which is expected to be completed by month’s end.

Wino - Nihil Gallery - September - 20 - 2014 - promo flyer 2013

With the first ever Uninvited Festival set to consume Brooklyn, New York’s Gowanus neighborhood for four days this week, a special art exhibition has also been scheduled by the promoters, featuring a solo acoustic set from SCOTT “WINO” WEINRICH.

Known for his time spent in legendary doom outfits Saint Vitus and The Obsessed, Doom Metal supergroup, Shrinebuilder and more, in addition to recording his own solo material and collaborative releases under the WINO banner, this special one-off performance will see the man bringing an intimate acoustic set to the NIHIL Gallery, who has planned and is hosting Uninvited. The set is part of a highly anticipated art exhibition which will begin with an artist reception on Thursday, September 18th and running through October 19th, will showcase work from renowned artists such as David Paul Seymour, Ben Venom, Norman Reedus, Wolftits, and Cicero deGuzman and more. Saturday, September 20th, Show-Class Magazine and Witness Company will host the an afterparty with top New York rock DJ Mama Dom, local act The National Reserve, and the special guest acoustic performance by SCOTT “WINO” WEINRICH.

NIHIL Gallery, the Brooklyn-based artistic epicenter situated in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood, announced today the launch of Uninvited, a four-day music festival. The festival, which will begin on Thursday, September 18th, and end on Sunday, September 21st, will transform an empty lot in Brooklyn into a Heavy Metal mecca. Motorcycle enthusiasts, skateboarders, and art lovers alike will have the opportunity to come together in creating a legendary street-based event that will mark the last days of summer each year. The event, which will take place in a lot adjacent to NIHIL Gallery, becoming a micro-community, offering, food, a full bar, skate ramp, and nearly thirty musical acts for the brave of heart, featuring up to eight bands each day.

Headlining icons such as Weedeater, Orchid, The Shrine, Bloody Hammers, Black Cobra, Mothership, The Skull, and Bl’ast! are confirmed to perform. Metalheads and Hard Rock enthusiasts are encouraged to join in the first-ever Brooklyn-based festival. Once Uninvited, there is little reason to leave.
