On November 5th, 1970 – Led Zeppelin released their single Immigrant Song. This iconic song would later reach #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Immigrant Song is featured on the band’s third studio album, 1970’s Led Zeppelin III.
On this day in 1983 – Def Leppard hits #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with Foolin’. This hit is featured on the third studio album from Def Leppard: Pyromania. This album was released in 1983 and has since sold over ten million copies, earning Diamond certification from the RIAA.
On November 5th, 1995 – Van Halen ended their tour in support of their tenth studio album, Balance, at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii. This would be the last Van Halen concert with the dynamic Sammy Hagar, until their reunion tour in 2004.
On this day in 1999 – It was announced that Gary Cherone was no longer the singer for Van Halen, after recording just one album with the band: 1998’s Van Halen III.
