ARBITRATOR is a project that began in late 2010 as the brainchild of Robert Kukla and officially debut in 2011 with the EP ‘The Consummate Ascendancy’ with former drummer Corey Chernesky. Now, determined to release a full-length to top “TCA“, Kukla on rhythm guitar, bass and vocals has written the band’s first album with a whole new arsenal of musicians that includes drummer Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork, ex-Devin Townsend Project, ex-Aborted), Myles Malloy on lead guitar and Connor ORT Linning for programming.

The planned 2015 release will be entitled ‘Indoctrination of Sacrilege’ and was produced by Sacha Laskow (ex-Divinity, Every Hour Kills), mastered by ens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy), Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy), along with album artwork done by Colin Marks (Exodus, Scar Symmetry, Jeff Loomis).

The first track ‘For That Which May Appease Lions’ from the forthcoming 2015 album is now available for FREE download on PuregrainAudio.com here.

‘For That Which May Appease Lions’ is quite possibly one of my favourite tracks off of the new album. Dark, ‘Resident Evil’ style passages compliment sections of blistering blast beats performed by the skins-king himself, Dirk Verbeuren. It is a track that is as dynamic as it is brutal, and certainly not for those that shy away from the radical nature of the progressive genre. Comments Kukla.

In addition, Toontrack.com has released on their youtube channel a drum play through video featuring drummer Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork, ex-Devin Townsend Project, ex-Aborted) performing ‘For That Which May Appease Lions’.

Edward Scissorhands - promo movie poster pic - #1990JDEPP

On this day in 1990 – The Fantasy/Drama/Dark Comedy film Edward Scissorhands  was released to theaters on the wide-screen. Starring the legendary Johnny Depp and directed by the great Tim Burton, the star-studded cast included: Winona Ryder, Vincent Price, Kathy Baker, Alan Arkin, Dianne Wiest and Anthony Michael Hall. This movie is, without a doubt Metal. Rest in peace, Vincent Price.

Guns N' Roses "The Spaghetti Incident" x-large album pic!

On December 7th, 1993Guns N’ Roses announced that their cover of Charles Manson’s Look at Your Game, Girl will remain on their covers album The Spaghetti Incident?, despite protests. It was also announced that royalties will go to the son of a Manson family victim. In my honest Metal opinion, this song (if you can call it that) super sucks so incredibly bad that it stinks of putrid donkey poop. Did I mention this song is lousy?

Motorhead - promo group pic - #10

On this day in 2012 – The mighty Motörhead perform live at Bernexpo Halle 4, in Berne, Switzerland for the Metal Christmas Festival. This was a date on Motörhead’s The Wörld is Yours Tour. Long live Motörhead.
