The JAZZ From HELL Festival will take over Le Poisson Rouge on Friday, December 12, 2025, presenting an electrifying evening of experimental sound and forward-thinking performance. Leading the lineup is the acclaimed New York avant-metal trio IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, who will deliver a special collaboration with the GOLDSTAR METROPOLE ORCHESTRA. This unique performance will unite the band’s signature fusion of technical metal, jazz complexity, and cinematic atmospheres with a full big-band ensemble, creating a rare large-scale presentation of their music.
The festival will also feature performances by JERSEYBAND and KILTER, both known for their adventurous approaches to genre, rhythm, and improvisation. Each act contributes to a program designed to celebrate artists who push musical boundaries and explore new sonic architectures. Hosted at Le Poisson Rouge, one of New York’s most respected spaces for innovative art and live performance, JAZZ From HELL offers an opportunity to witness a night of music that embraces intensity, experimentation, and creative risk.
Tickets are available now at 40 dollars in advance or 50 dollars on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:00 PM and performances begin at 7:00 PM. For audiences drawn to bold and unconventional music, JAZZ From HELL promises a standout event in the winter concert season.
In celebration of the one-year anniversary of The Last Will and Testament, OPETH is proud to unveil a brand-new animated video crafted to bring the album’s intricate story to life. Created by Absynthe Moon Media, the film offers a visual interpretation of the narrative that has intrigued fans since the record’s release in November 2024.
The animated music video for“§3“returns to the central family story at the heart of the album. Set during the reading of a 1920s patriarch’s will, the video captures the shifting relationships and subtle tensions that shape the storyline, while allowing viewers to interpret the finer details for themselves.
Guided by Mikael Åkerfeldt’s story and concept, the visual narrative enhances the album’s core themes: identity fractured by lies, legacies built on instability, and the slow unraveling of those who once believed they understood their place within the family. The result is a stirring and immersive complement to one of OPETH’s most ambitious works.
