Swedish Death Metallers TEMISTO Releasing Debut Album On Pulverised In February

Swedish Death Metal Duo TEMISTO will release its debut album on Pulverised Records February 26, 2016.  New track Above Sacred Ground is streaming at this location.

TEMISTO’s debut is the perfect mix of blasphemy and violence. Death Metal with bursts of intricate maze-like passages executed with razor-sharp precision, TEMISTO exudes a zeal for the obscure and unworldly. Formed recently in Stockholm, Sweden, TEMISTO consists of only two members: Leo Ekström Sollenmo and Sebastian Lindbom Gunnari.

The album was produced and engineered by ex-Morbus Chron frontman Robert Andersson with Elias Scharmer (ex-Abduction, ex-Mutilate) and then painstakingly mastered at Necromorbus Studio by Tore Stjerna (Watain, Desultory, Repugnant, etc). Also featuring the gracefully morbid artwork of Obsessed By Cruelty (Enforcer, Sabbat, Wolfbrigade, etc).

BAND BIOGRAPHY

Leo was previously the frontman of a Death Metal act called Whore, releasing a demo-tape back in 2011. Whore split up around the same time and shortly after; Leo, Sebastian and two other guys formed what would later become Temisto. They recorded a two-track demo back in 2013 but eventually decided not to release it officially. By late 2014, the band realized that they had enough material for a full length album and a good opportunity to record it in a studio with Robert and Elias and so they recorded it all during two weeks in February / March of 2015.

There’s the classic vibe channelled through the glass shards-encrusted and Thrash Metal-spiked Death Metal music that’s just extremely virulent and nasty in its final output. This here is an abrasive mass of Crust/Death/Thrash music that destroys any structure standing. The heaviness is palpable while the unique tone will make your skin peel backwards. This is the second and most potent full length of the band yet and it will rip your face right off and scrub what’s left with acid.

Established in Milwaukee, WI in 2014, the band’s goal was to create music that captured the epic feel and scope of storytelling comprising the immense Tolkien mythology. Drawing influences from Death Metal greats such as NILE, MORBID ANGEL, and BEHEMOTH,  KHAZADDUM carries on the tradition of both a technical and melodic approach in their music.

WRATHRONE – Old School Death Metal Band To Release “Born Beneath” Album In January – Music Video Out Now!

Wrathrone plays brutal old school Death Metal with their own spices. Early years 2008-2011 Wrathrone was doing gigs in slow flow, though the first self-released EP “Burning Hatred” saw the daylight in 2011. The second self-released EP “Left Unburied” was out in 2013. From the year 2013 Wrathrone did gigs more and more and now they have done over 30 aggressive Death Metal shows altogether.

Wrathrone was stomping over the Baltics in 2013 and in year 2014 Germany met their destiny. The year 2015 has been busy and 2016 will be even more so.

“Born Beneath” was recorded in the great conditions of V.R. Studio in Turku, in Jussi Vuola’s hands. Inverse Records will release the debut album in January 22nd of 2016.

After bouncing between several labels since 2010, this San Diego trio has come back home to Comatose Music for the release of their first new full length CD in nearly two years. This as yet untitled album is currently in the final stages of the writing process and expected for a Summer 2016 release.

Drummer and founding member Dave Astor says: “We are very happy and excited to be working with Comatose Music again! The label has always been a great supporter of the band through the years. New Jersey’s COGNITIVE will be hitting Full Force Studio to record its second full length album Deformity.

The band will be working with ‘Smoking’ Joe Cincotta who has worked alongside bands such as SUFFOCATION, BODYCOUNT and INTERNAL BLEEDING. Artwork for the album will be created by renowned illustrator Par Olofsson (SPAWN OF POSSESSION, IMMOLATION, ABYSMAL DAWN, JOB FOR A COWBOY). The legendary Alan Douches will master the upcoming album at West West Side (SEPULTURA, CONVERGE, HATEBREED).

Following the addition of new members guitarist Harry Lannon and bassist Ian Bainbridge, COGNITIVE have forged new ground and are eager to unleash the bands new material which will present a more formidable sound and direction. The band is currently seeking a label and aiming to have the album released by March 2016.

BIOGRAPHY:

Under The Church… Death Metal… pure and simple.

Born of the base desire to create raw and pure Death Metal, Erik Qvick and Lars Henriksson formed the band during 2012, after the final rites were administered to the reanimated corpse that was Nirvana 2002. Inspired, a series of tunes were crafted, labored and recorded. After a vocalist search, UNDER THE CHURCH settled on Australian vocalist MiK Annetts, to give voice to the primal compositions that had been conjured. The end result was ‘Demo 2013’; a three song affair that created a surge of interest in the band and their raw, filthy and ugly approach to the essence of Death Metal. Following their seven-track self-titled debut EP on Pulverised, UNDER THE CHURCH are primed and have released a firestorm of raw and bestial Death Metal called Rabid Armageddon.

Man, this offering of Death Metal from SINISTER is a dandy! In all Metal honesty, I already have Dark Memorials reserved for a spot in Metal Odyssey’s Top Ten Metal Albums Of 2015 list. Dark Memorials destroys! There are tons of Thrash(ness) on this album to satisfy fans of the old-school style, while the raging Death Metal is nothing short of stunning. Seriously, my Metal brethren!

The cover of the Carcass classic Exhume To Consume is breathtaking, even with some flashy keyboards making a brief appearance. Yes, keyboards. From Bolt Thrower to Autopsy, with Kreator and Death in-between, this is a cover song album to hunger for! SINISTER have given these Metal classics all the Metal respect they so importantly deserve. Hell, there’s no better way to give thanks and praise to such legends of Metal, as SINISTER has done on Dark Memorials.

Adrie Kloosterwaard on vocals is a Death Metal monster! Shit, what more can be said. The entire band gets my seal of Death Metal approval for their ear blistering performance on this Dark Memorials album. I have listened to Dark Memorials constantly since September and I’m never gonna stop recommending this album. Dark Memorials is one of the best cover song albums I’ve ever enjoyed in my Metal life! My favorite song on this album? All. Okay, it’s the cover of Autopsy’s Ridden With Disease. Tennessee-based Metal legion, WHITECHAPEL, will return to the road this November on a near three-week headlining tour with Australia’s Psycroptic and new Metal Blade label mates, Culture Killer. The trek will be visiting cities throughout the Midwest and East Coast, including locales the band has yet to level. Tickets went on sale Friday, September 25th at 10:00am local time.

It has been three years since Cryptopsy’s last release and many fans have expressed their eagerness to hear new material. This time, rather than a full album, the band will release a series of EPs entitled The Book of Suffering. This new approach will allow Cryptopsy to put out new music more often while remaining true to their standards of quality. The first EP in the series, The Book of Suffering Tome 1, was produced by Chris Donaldson at The Grid studio in Montreal, mixed by Jason Suecoff at Audiohammer Studio and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.

Death/Black Metal heathens Kult Mogił (translation: Sepulchral Cult) are the newest band to dwell in the sounds of the netherworld. Their potential has led to their recognition and signing of a record deal with Poland’s legendary Pagan Records.

The band was established in October 2014 in Tarnów, Poland. In April 2015 they released Demo 2015, which will soon be released on tape via Gravplass Propaganda. The band is currently recording their debut full-length album entitled Anxiety Never Descending, which will be released under the banner of Pagan Records. Kult Mogił are the latest band you need to watch out for. Their sounds will appeal to fans of bands like Bölzer, Cruciamentum, Necros Christos, Doombringer or Cultes Des Ghoules.
