Established in Milwaukee, WI in 2014, the band’s goal was to create music that captured the epic feel and scope of storytelling comprising the immense Tolkien mythology. Drawing influences from Death Metal greats such as NILE, MORBID ANGEL, and BEHEMOTH, KHAZADDUM carries on the tradition of both a technical and melodic approach in their music.

The In Dwarven Halls EP was recorded at Bell City Sound by Chris Wisco (ex- Jungle Rot) in late 2014. Originally started as a recording project, KHAZADDUM finally decided to become a full-time live band in 2015 and released this beast of an EP.
Seattle Death Grinders, THEORIES, will kick off the New Year with a cross-country stage decimation supporting legendary Death Metal veterans Decapitated and hometown Death Metal quintet Black Breath. THEORIES – featuring within its ranks current and former members of Samothrace, Skarp, and Book Of Black Earth among others – continues to grind their way into diseased hearts with the ravaging sounds of their Regression full-length, released earlier this year via Metal Blade Records.
Tracked at The Red Room and The Boiler Room with producer/engineer Derek Moree (The Sword, Pelican, Minus The Bear, et al) with mixing and mastering conducted by Visceral Sound’s Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), the record reaped the hails of critics both stateside and abroad. Heavy Blog Is Heavy notes, “THEORIES hits so many right notes on Regression that it would be easy to presume this was their third or fourth record.”

CANNIBAL CORPSE continues to tour in support of their A Skeletal Domain full-length, released last year via Metal Blade Records. The band’s thirteenth studio offering debuted at an astounding #32 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart upon its first week of release, making it the highest charting record in the band’s storied history! Produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, DevilDriver) at Audio Hammer Studios in Florida, the record boasts twelve ravenous tracks of confrontational, meticulously executed, ill-omened brutality, as only CANNIBAL CORPSE can deliver.
Wrathrone plays brutal old school Death Metal with their own spices. Early years 2008-2011 Wrathrone was doing gigs in slow flow, though the first self-released EP “Burning Hatred” saw the daylight in 2011. The second self-released EP “Left Unburied” was out in 2013. From the year 2013 Wrathrone did gigs more and more and now they have done over 30 aggressive Death Metal shows altogether.
Wrathrone was stomping over the Baltics in 2013 and in year 2014 Germany met their destiny. The year 2015 has been busy and 2016 will be even more so.
“Born Beneath” was recorded in the great conditions of V.R. Studio in Turku, in Jussi Vuola’s hands. Inverse Records will release the debut album in January 22nd of 2016.
Comatose Musicproudly welcomes the return of PATHOLOGY! After bouncing between several labels since 2010, this San Diego trio has come back home to Comatose Music for the release of their first new full length CD in nearly two years. This as yet untitled album is currently in the final stages of the writing process and expected for a Summer 2016 release.
Drummer and founding member Dave Astor says: “We are very happy and excited to be working with Comatose Music again! The label has always been a great supporter of the band through the years. New Jersey’s COGNITIVE will be hitting Full Force Studio to record its second full length album Deformity.
The band will be working with ‘Smoking’ Joe Cincotta who has worked alongside bands such as SUFFOCATION, BODYCOUNT and INTERNAL BLEEDING. Artwork for the album will be created by renowned illustrator Par Olofsson (SPAWN OF POSSESSION, IMMOLATION, ABYSMAL DAWN, JOB FOR A COWBOY). The legendary Alan Douches will master the upcoming album at West West Side (SEPULTURA, CONVERGE, HATEBREED).
Following the addition of new members guitarist Harry Lannon and bassist Ian Bainbridge, COGNITIVE have forged new ground and are eager to unleash the bands new material which will present a more formidable sound and direction. The band is currently seeking a label and aiming to have the album released by March 2016.
Today Northern Irish Death Metallers Rex Shachath release their latest offering, Revocation Of The Blood Elect, via French label Great Dane Records, and to mark the occasion are streaming the EP in full right here!
Tackling social issues such as the state of modern society and man’s exorbitant desire for wealth at the expense of our natural world, the band have harnessed a sound more befitting to such issues in comparison to their debut release Sepulchral Torment. Under The Church… Death Metal… pure and simple.
Born of the base desire to create raw and pure Death Metal, Erik Qvick and Lars Henriksson formed the band during 2012, after the final rites were administered to the reanimated corpse that was Nirvana 2002. Inspired, a series of tunes were crafted, labored and recorded. After a vocalist search, UNDER THE CHURCH settled on Australian vocalist MiK Annetts, to give voice to the primal compositions that had been conjured. The end result was ‘Demo 2013’; a three song affair that created a surge of interest in the band and their raw, filthy and ugly approach to the essence of Death Metal. The cover of the Carcass classic Exhume To Consume is breathtaking, even with some flashy keyboards making a brief appearance. Yes, keyboards. From Bolt Thrower to Autopsy, with Kreator and Death in-between, this is a cover song album to hunger for! SINISTER have given these Metal classics all the Metal respect they so importantly deserve. Hell, there’s no better way to give thanks and praise to such legends of Metal, as SINISTER has done on Dark Memorials.
Adrie Kloosterwaard on vocals is a Death Metal monster! Shit, what more can be said. The entire band gets my seal of Death Metal approval for their ear blistering performance on this Dark Memorials album. I have listened to Dark Memorials constantly since September and I’m never gonna stop recommending this album. Dark Memorials is one of the best cover song albums I’ve ever enjoyed in my Metal life! Death/Black Metal heathens Kult Mogił (translation: Sepulchral Cult) are the newest band to dwell in the sounds of the netherworld. Their potential has led to their recognition and signing of a record deal with Poland’s legendary Pagan Records.
The band was established in October 2014 in Tarnów, Poland. In April 2015 they released Demo 2015, which will soon be released on tape via Gravplass Propaganda. After a few months in his home studio in Armstrong, BC, Chris Shaver has produced the debut full-length VHOD album, ‘Dreamcleaver’. Chris mans the helm alone, performing all the instruments and vocals and this album showcases snippets of unused material spanning many years as well as brand new material. The release is a fair representation of VHOD’s Experimental Death Metal angle and will cement a milestone for Chris in his quarter-of-a-century musical journey thus far.
VHOD was conceived in January 2014 and is a merger of Godcursed (2004-2014), Morbid Darkness (1989-2014) and Worms Of The Birth (2011-2014), which were all active projects of sole member Chris Shaver at the time. Early VHOD releases exhibited sporadic styles and were mostly instrumental pieces used as a basis for finding a more focussed signature sound. Said releases consist of 3 singles, ‘The Scornful Winter’, ‘One Fallen’ & ‘Cimmeria’ and an EP, ‘Dreams Of 11.14′, respectively, all released independently.
In December of 2014, work began on the ‘Tor’ Series, which consists of 4 parts: ‘Behind The Shroud Of Mist’, ‘Wrap Three Times’, ‘Portal’ and ‘The Desolates’, respectively. In these independent releases an evident foundation was made with which future VHOD recordings will branch out from. Dreamcleaver is set for release November 13th 2015 on Finnish label INVERSE RECORDS.

Relative newcomers, CIST hail from Russia, and their Death/Pestilence-influenced style of Death Metal makes a natural pairing with underground legends SOLSTICE, whose early albums are classics of Death/Thrash metal. This is just a 2-song split to serve as an appetizer for things to come from both bands, and it’s priced accordingly at a measly $5!

Having laid low since the end of 2014, Northern Irish Death Metallers Rex Shachath have suddenly announced their return and are back for blood with a brand new record which will be out November 20th via Great Dane Records.
Entitled Revocation Of The Blood Elect, this new EP might not be what people are expecting if they’re familiar with the band’s debut offering Sepulchral Torment. Since that release, the band have had time to coalesce and where Sepulchral Torment had more of a ‘old school’ sound, Revocation Of The Blood Elect is an entirely new animal. Tackling social issues such as the state of modern society and man’s exorbitant desire for wealth at the expense of our natural world, the band have harnessed a sound more befitting to such issues on their forthcoming record.
Old school ideals kneaded with modern Death Metal notions on a much more up to date and punchier production is what we have here. Revocation Of The Blood Elect carries a sound as big, if not bigger, than its message.
Vocalist and lyricist Dave Connolly sums the record up with a quote from French philosopher Denis Diderot, “Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.”
Artwork (as seen above), was completed by UK artist Godmachine famed for his work with bands such as Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon, Cannibal Corpse and Job For A Cowboy to name a few. The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Joe Thompson at Sonic Forge Studio, Cardiff, Wales.

Through the verbose horror of their first two LPs (2011’s Carnal Law and 2013’s Patricidal Lust) San Francisco’s VASTUM sadistically carved a jagged dripping wound into an increasingly reductive American Death Metal scene. One of the most lyrically unique, creative and disturbing bands in underground Metal, now arising for their third full length album, VASTUM plumbs the depths of internalized agony and degradation farther than ever on Hole Below.
Characterized by a deeply cavernous trudge through gut churning heaviness, Hole Below both bluntly crushes and rigorously shreds to conceive fully formed grotesqueries of debased brutality. Guitarist Leila Abdul-Rauf wields her axe with the experienced slice of a masked executioner, quartering savage riffs and twisting leads alongside the thunder of guitarist Shelby Lermo. The abhorrent vocal (and lyrical) morbidity traded by imposing frontman Daniel Butler and Abdul-Rauf continues to be the most formidable combination in Death Metal. The intimidating rhythm section of bassist Luca Indrio and drummer Adam Perry steer the war machine through the pooled blood and skull fragments scattered amidst the debauched iniquity of this peculiar hell.
Three albums in, VASTUM has honed their disturbed masochism into a sound manifestly their own and true to the core of the purest darkest Death Metal. Crushingly recordead at Earhammer Studios in Oakland and mastered at Audiosiege by Brad Boatright, the art for Hole Below was created by vocalist Daniel Butler. 20 Buck Spin (also responsible for the release of the band’s prior two albums) presents Hole Below as one of the finest and best executed examples of the genre this year.
Hole Below will emerge on CD and digital formats on November 6th, with the LP to follow in December. Fans of Bolt Thrower, Grave, Death, Asphyx, Shroud Of The Heretic, Cruciamentum and the like are hereby on notice.
VASTUM will strike with new tour dates in support of Hole Below, including the band’s debut East Coast performances which are being slabbed for early November. Stand by for tour specifics in the coming days.
