On October 9th, 1993 – Nirvana entered the U.S. Billboard album chart at #1 with In Utero. This would become Nirvana’s third and final studio album. In Utero has gone on to sell 5 million copies in the United States alone.
On this day in 2008 – Before the start of the Toronto Maple Leafs versus Detroit Red Wings game, Def Leppard performed at Detroit’s Fox Theatre nearby. Vocalist Joe Elliott received criticism by many NHL fans for placing the (sacred) Stanley Cup upside down. Bad move, Joe. Bad move.
