This Rock historic concert took place at England’s Charlton Athletic’s Ground. The official readings were: 76,000 watts at 120 decibels from 50 meters away. On May 28th, 1983 – The US Festival began the first of three days in San Bernardino, California; this was New Wave Day. Heavy Metal Day and Rock Day were to follow, respectively. This 3 day festival was the brainchild of Steve Wozniak.

Among the very many performers spanning the entire festival were: Van Halen, David Bowie, The Clash, Joe Walsh, The Pretenders, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Scorpions, Triumph, Mötley Crüe, Quiet Riot, U2, Missing Persons, Stray Cats, INXS, and Stevie Nicks. Amazing!! By the way, I was 17 years old in ’83. Whoa.
