CROWBAR’s most recent studio offering, the critically acclaimed Zero And Below, was released in April 2022 via MNRK Heavy. Led by riff lord and vocalist Kirk Windstein, with guitarist Matt Brunson, bassist Shane Wesley, and drummer Tommy Buckley, songs like “Chemical Godz,” “It’s Always Worth The Gain,” and “Bleeding From Every Hole” are unapologetic emotional outpourings, with a bare-knuckle resolve alongside its soul-searching vulnerability, reliably delivered with crushing heaviness.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Duane Simoneaux at OCD Recording And Production in Metairie, Louisiana, Zero And Below is the band’s most unforgivably doom-driven record since their 1998 landmark effort, Odd Fellows Rest.

Zero And Below is available on CD, LP, cassette, and digitally. Preview and purchase the record at THIS LOCATION.

Nola - Phil Anselmo - promo flyer - 2014 - noisey

Noisey, the music arm of VICE, is proud to present NOLA: Life, Death And Heavy Blues From The Bayou, a seven-part series examining the people and the culture that helped foster bands like Down, Eyehategod, Crowbar, Acid Bath, Goatwhore and many others. Launching on September 16th, the series features appearances from names like Philip H. Anselmo (Housecore Records, Down, ex-Pantera), Mike IX Williams (Eyehategod), Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod, Down, Superjoint Ritual), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, ex-Down), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion Of Conformity, Down), and Sammy Duet (Goatwhore, ex-Acid Bath) amongst others, discussing the bands, Hurricane Katrina, drugs, suicide, murder and records that helped shape the New Orleans sound known the world over.

From the crawfish-littered tables of the secluded Anselmo compound to a fishing boat with Eyehategod in the swamps, Noisey delves in deep with the NOLA natives on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on September 16th and coming to a conclusion on October 7th.

In the meantime, check out the trailer at THIS LOCATION.
