April 23, 2015, Philadelphia – Royal Thunder debut the video for Time Machine, from their recently released album, Crooked Doors, via Rolling Stone:

The video was directed by J.P. Bradburn who also worked with the band on their video for “Blue.” NPR said of the song, “’Time Machine’ moves with the stubborn resolve of a tightrope walker on a windy day: The song heaves along with intertwining guitars and the soulful vocal of Parsonz, who seems more aware of her dynamic abilities than ever.”

The Atlanta-quartet is currently on a Southeastern tour with Wilco, playing this evening at the Bayou Music Center in Houston. Royal Thunder’s headlining tour kicks off May 28 in New Orleans and will include a brief run of shows with Halestorm and Rival Sons.

The band has been sharing behind-the-scenes footage filmed during the making of Crooked Doors, as well as a newly released clip where they discuss the individual tracks on the album. The first two in the track-by-track series of webisodes can be seen below:

Crooked Doors was released earlier this month, with Stereogum calling the album “the hard rock equivalent of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors.” Entertainment Weekly said Crooked Doors “leans on its substantial pop chops. Tracks like ‘Glow’ are more Heart than Led Zep, which is not a bad thing at all.” Metal Hammer UK recently nominated the band for “Best Underground Band” in their annual Golden Gods’ Awards.

Stone Says, About Led Zeppelin: Anytime I happen across Led Zeppelin history, I get those good chills. I believe that without Led Zeppelin, the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal sounds we hear today would not be the same. Legendary guitarist Jimmy Page with his melodic (and heavy) mastery and unique expression of scales and chords has certainly penetrated the building blocks of widespread Rock and Heavy Music. The guitar playing of Jimmy Page, to this day, is always like fresh rain water falling from the heavens, in my Metal opinion.

Vocalist Robert Plant and Jimmy Page equally gave each Led Zeppelin song its own identity, while bassist John Paul Jones and (the late) drummer John Bonham’s less is more styles of play can never be duplicated and only imitated. Metal be thy name. – Stone
