Seeking The Absolute Full-Length Nears October 24th Release On Metal Blade Records

“Until Now” is the latest single from Chinese Mongolian progressive metal collective NINE TREASURES. The track appears on the band’s stunning Seeking The Absolute full-length, set for release on October 24th via Metal Blade Records.

Offers vocalist/guitarist Askhan on the track, “The first riff of ‘Until Now’ came to life in early 2021 and it eventually became the opening chapter of this album. After releasing our last record, Wisdom Eyes, we kept writing new material, but nothing felt right. We didn’t want to repeat ourselves. We were searching for something more honest, more satisfying. So we scrapped over twenty songs and started from scratch. It was a heavy moment. We had no idea what direction to take, whether we’d even be able to finish the album, or if any of it would succeed. We were deep in a fog of uncertainty.”

“Then one morning, while playing the tovshuur [Mongolian plucked musical instrument], I stumbled upon a sliding riff that just clicked. We kept refining it again and again until it became the final version; recorded, once again, in Los Angeles. Midway through, the track breaks into a stream-of-consciousness improvisation, wild and free. Every time we perform it, it feels like riding a wave that just keeps rising and rolling. We get completely lost in it and we love it.”

Formed by vocalist/guitarist Askhan in 2010 in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia in China, NINE TREASURES delivers a unique combination of heavy metal and traditional Mongolian instrumentation, utilizing both conventional vocals and Mongolian throat singing. Guitars, bass, and drums collide with indigenous string instruments including the balalaika and the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), resulting in a sonic kaleidoscope that follows no set template.

NINE TREASURES moves easily from a straight-up headbanging style to the more atmospheric progressive style. Guitar-wise, Askhan infuses a lot of Mongolian playing techniques and songwriting logic into his playing and is excited for the “fresh blood” it adds to the band’s sound. The quintet’s varied approaches and universal messaging will allow them to tour with any musically progressive band, be it Amon Amarth or Tool.

Playing 100-plus festival shows and headlining gigs per year in Asia, to audiences of up to 50,000, and with four albums to their name, NINE TREASURES are at the top of their proverbial game and ready to conquer the Western world. Seeking The Absolute is their first record for Metal Blade, and first LP to have a worldwide release.

NINE TREASURES:
Askhan – guitars, vocals, balalaika, tovshuur
Orgil – bass, backing vocals
Saina – balalaika, backing vocals, guitars
Namra – drums
Nars – morin khuur, backing vocals

“Sepsis” video directed by Gianfranco Svagelj

Oct. 2, 2025 — RICHMOND, Va. – Lamb of God return with “Sepsis” (https://Lamb-of-God.lnk.to/Sepsis), a visceral, menacing new single out now via Epic Records, marking the GRAMMY® Award-nominated band’s first new original music since 2022’s critically revered album, Omens.

Produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, the three-and-a-half minute track arrives alongside a grainy, lo-fi performance video (https://lamb-of-god.lnk.to/sepsisofficial) that offers a moody, unfiltered look at Richmond’s underbelly. Directed by Gianfranco Svagelj, the video captures the song’s slow-burning tension.

“‘Sepsis’ is a celebration of the very underground local bands here in Richmond, that we really admired, when we were just forming Burn the Priest,” Mark Morton shares. “Bands like Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger. Though they never got widespread attention outside of Richmond, those were the bands we listened to all the time. The song references that stuff in a way that’s a direct line to where we were coming from when we were in the basement writing our earliest material together.”

As the year closes, Lamb of God have several performances ahead of them, including outings at Aftershock, AMMA Championship Fest, and the band’s Headbangers Boat cruise (Oct. 31 to Nov. 4), a four-day floating festival departing from Miami with a stop in Cozumel, Mexico.

The line-up features performances from Clutch, Kublai Khan TX, Power Trip, Obituary, Devil Driver, Fear Factory, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Exploited, Crowbar, Nekrogoblikon, Eighteen Visions, Gideon, Walls of Jericho, Category 7, Brat, comics Josh Potter and Saul Trujillo, with appearances from Jose Mangin and Riki Rachtman. The band commented“When Death finally frees you from the pain of suffering, what worse Hell to awake to than a rebirth into the same cycle? This is the idea behind the content of ‘Forever Remain’. A track that well defines the concept of the new album ‘The Fate Of All Life’. One of the last tracks written for the album, it is particularly intense and features an outro of an incredibly mournful violin section that was written and performed by Hayley Anderson from Aquilus and Suldusk. The video was filmed in Lithuania by an amazing team that truly brought to life (and death) the vision.”

The new single is also now available to listen to via all major streaming services.

“Forever Remain” follows the release of the single “Failure to Thrive” and is the second single from the band’s upcoming debut album set for release on 17 October via These Hands Melt

The Fate Of All Life sees the band weave together industrial black metal, goth and darkwave to create a sound that is both haunting and cathartic. The album is a monument to the reality of the human condition, exploring themes of cyclical suffering and death. IRREPARABLE has expertly laid the foundations of a personal apocalypse, which is reflected in their poignant quote: “We rise to the sky from the sea, only to come pouring down”.

The new album will be available as a limited edition CD Digipack and a limited Vinyl LP (150 copies) in red transparent, as well as on all major digital platforms. Pre-order here: https://irreparable2019.bandcamp.com/album/the-fate-of-all-life

The band will celebrate the release of The Fate Of All Life at The Leadbeater, Richmond, VIC (Australia) with Burden Man, The Nihilistic Front and Nighteyes on November 29th.

BURIAL PATH – Transforms in Fire on New Single “Magnum Opus”

Posted in deathcore, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , on October 2, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Emerging from the crucible of reinvention, BURIAL PATH, one of the most electrifying voices in the deathcore underground, has released their latest single Magnum Opus.”

Watch “Magnum Opus” Here: https://youtu.be/oOg_XESjhiw

From the opening surge to its final resonance, “Magnum Opus” embodies the transformative journey of the self: from destruction, to dissolution, to rebirth in gold. It is a sonic alchemy that combines visceral intensity with hauntingly ethereal soundscapes, evoking both the brutality of collapse and the beauty of transcendence.

“From flame to form, the self dissolves and reignites. Gold flows where the old self burned. The great work begins,” the band declares.

The single’s lyrics delve deep into themes of ego death, purification, and rebirth, drawing on esoteric imagery:

‘Calcination, a rebirth takes hold,
Through vitriol these veins flow of gold.
Ego death, reflection, unification within the cycle…’

With “Magnum Opus” BURIAL PATH continues to redefine deathcore, expanding the genre’s boundaries with both philosophical depth and sonic ferocity. The track serves not only as a declaration of artistic evolution but also as a ritualistic invocation, a call to embrace transformation in all its violent, radiant beauty.

About BURIAL PATH:

Formed in 2023, BURIAL PATH consists of Aïcha Finnleikr (vocals) and Jack B (guitar) from Texas, and Nebraskan Matthew McClure (guitar). Their sound is a refined evolution of Deathcore, leveraging modern production to craft an atmosphere that is both entrancing and resonant, designed to evoke deep emotions and provoke thoughtful introspection through their music.
