So it’s 2012 and the end of time may be near, or so they say, but that’s no reason to panic because Vancouver-based Metal masters Titans Eve are gearing up to unleash their second full-length album, the extremely timely and aptly titled, ‘Life Apocalypse’, which can now be previewed at the following link here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWwUPb4ULus) and is available for pre-order with a FREE T-shirt on the bands bandcamp for a limited time only here.(http://titanseve.bandcamp.com/album/life-apocalypse-pre-order-now-out-july-13-2012)

After touring North America last summer in support of their debut album ‘The Divine Equal’ that was received with great acclaim including being named ‘Album of the Month’ (Sept 2011) by Metal Hammer Germany and conquering the #7 on the Top 20 of 2011 Canadian Loud Charts. Titans Eve returned the studio to begin work on their 11 track  follow-up Thrasher ‘Life Apocalypse’ produced by the band and recorded by Sacha Laskow of Divinity at Perfect Fifth Studios in Calgary, AB.

“We’re all very excited to start sharing ‘Life Apocalypse’ with fans. This is just taste of what’s to come from this head banging summer soundtrack. So turn it all the way up, grab a bottle of your favourite drink and start doing shots to the moshing sounds of Titans Eve.” says guitarist Kyle Gamblin.

Following the release of ‘Life Apocalypse’ this summer on Friday, July 13th, Titans Eve will once again pile into the “Titan Train” (i.e. their 2007 Ford E-350 van) and travel across Canada, bringing their music to as great an audience as possible, supporting Canadian Metal heavyweights Anvil and oh, so much more until the clock stops ticking.

DERAILED – Canadian Metal Warriors Announce New Bass Player & Details On Forthcoming 2012 Album ‘Underground’

DERAILED announces new bass player and details to their forthcoming sophomore studio album Underground!

Calgary Alberta Canada’s very own Metal Warriors, DERAILED, have issued the following exciting updates from their Metal camp:

Derailed are proud to introduce Greg Kristianson as the new bass player for the group. Greg’s musical background includes current Metallica & Iron Maiden tribute bands, ‘Disposable Heroes’ & ‘Edward the Great’ in the local Alberta Metal scene. Greg’s enthusiasm & dedication to perfection are a welcome addition to the band!

On the recording front, drums & bass tracks are now finished for the upcoming conceptual CD, Underground, to be released sometime in April/May of 2012. Guitars & vocals are next! The boys are extremely excited on the progress thus far, much more heavier & aggressive!

DERAILED – 2011 Live Show Updates On A Fast Rising Canadian Metal Band!

DERAILED – Here a couple of “live” shows of note that DERAILED fans and Metal fans should know about:

* On Thursday, March 31st, 2011, DERAILED performed a 30 minute set at the Kings Head Pub in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Over $12,000 was raised! All proceeds from this event will go to the Red Cross in support of the recent Japan earthquake disaster. Metal Odyssey gives DERAILED a big horns up for their charitable Metal efforts!!

* DERAILED have made the finals for “Best Original Calgary Band” and will perform a crushing set this Wednesday, April 6th, 2011, at The Viper Room in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Starting time is 9:00 p.m.! The Viper Room is located at 302-3rd Ave. SW, right next door to the French Maid. Come on down and support original music as this will be a great night! (See The Viper Room link at the bottom of post).

Metal Odyssey wishes DERAILED all the Metal best in winning the “Best Original Calgary Band” title… this is one terrific Metal band that deserves it!!

NEW DERAILED ALBUM UPDATE:

* “Underground”, the new and highly anticipated concept album from DERAILED is well underway. This album will focus on another world “Underground” where one ordinary man becomes the “chosen one” to save a dying race.
