COFFIN FEEDER – Join Listenable Records Ranks

LISTENABLE records are delighted to welcome Belgium’s most ferocious offspring COFFIN FEEDER.

The band features members of Aborted, Leng Tch’e, When Plagues Collide and Fleddy Melculy, spew forth a high energy blend of groove laden death metal, grind and hardcore. 
Since its inception in 2021, COFFIN FEEDER unleashed 2 EP’s (‘Stereo Homicide’, ‘Over the top’) and played a ton of club shows through Europe. 
With already some festivals in Europe under their belt such as Brutal Assault & Summer Breeze, the band is continuing to take names and kick ass worldwide.

Hot on the heels of ’The Beast against Beast’ European tour this past November, with their brothers Benighted and Baest, COFFIN FEEDER have now been focusing on the release of their forthcoming album and we can only urge everyone to be ready for some Big Trouble!

AGAINST I was founded in 2022 by Fredrik Keith Croona, known as vocalist and founder of Cynical Existence and ex-vocalist of Menschdefekt. In 2023 the band released their debut album Carnival of Excess on Advoxya Records. 2024 saw the release of two EPs, Perfect Smile and the follow-up Destruction Lullaby, which took the band in an entirely new direction.

GUTLESS gave us one of 2018’s filthiest demos. Two years later, we saw a split release with Mortal Wound. Now, six years after that demo, we are finally getting the debut album. Strap in; this one is going to be nauseating…

Instantly they cave in your skull with maniacal riffing and unrelenting drum assaults. If you can’t withstand the might of Death Metal, turn back fast. The equally violent vocal attack will seal the deal as the insanity creeps further into the cemetery, searching for prey.

BARBAROUS – California Death Metal Crew Joins Creator-Destructor Records

Demo Streaming, Cassette Available + Debut LP In The Works For 2025 Release

Creator-Destructor welcomes California death metal crew BARBAROUS to the label’s roster, issuing a cassette version of the band’s demo and locking the band in for the release of their debut LP next year.

Based in Oakland, BARBAROUS is influenced by the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Skeletal Remains, Necrot, and Gatecreeper, the band hit the ground running since coming onto the scene in April 2024, having played shows with performing live alongside the likes of Laceration and other across the Bay Area over the past few months.

BARBAROUS’ two-track demo, Coup De Grâce, dropped in September, and while succinct, the tracks displayed the band’s monstrous tones and honed attack. Its drums and bass were tracked at Rapture Recordings, the guitars were recorded at Dongflopper Studios, and the vocals were tracked at Silver Bullet Studios, after which the tracks were mixed and mastered by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios (Vastum, Necrot, Ulthar) and fitted with cover artwork by Aesop Mongo.

Vocalist Travis LaBerge states: “We’re really proud and excited to join Creator-Destructor Records! From the get-go, Ben has been amazing towards us. Besides being labelmates with some absolutely killer bands, we’re just pumped to partner with a passionate label that wants to see us succeed with everything we do. BARBAROUS has a simple mission statement, to take our brand of ‘barbaric death metal’ to the masses and create some truly brutal music that everyone can get into the pit and move to.”

Blackened Death Metal Storytellers AOIDOS Present “Trauma” With Video, Ahead Of Forthcoming Album: Oizys

Blackened death metal quintet AOIDOS carve out a fusion of haunting melodies and atmospheres from the realms of black metal in conjunction with the power and groove of death. Storytelling is core to the band, whose name AOIDOS means bard in Ancient Greek. Light your fire, pour yourself a drink and prepare for dark and shadowy tales as the band present their new offering, “Trauma”. The single is the first to emerge ahead of the forthcoming album Oizys that is set for release on November 29th, 2024, via Nox Liberatio Records. Watch “Trauma” HERE. 

Dynamically, AOIDOS sculpt a thrilling soundscape across “Trauma” which encounters high intensity with brief moments that are almost serene. Delicate piano melodies enthrall among the weight of the heavy instrumentation. “Trauma” includes lyrics in the band’s native language – Portuguese. “The chorus is totally in Portuguese”, the band explain, “and it sings the plea of ‘Trauma’, a force that sees itself not as an oppressor, but as a protector, a shield between the victim and the true extent of the tragedies they went through.”

About AOIDOS:
AOIDOS came to be following a night of mead at the iconic Taberna 58, in Coimbra, Portugal, in 2019. Inspired by storytelling and the Aoidos, who were the bards and minstrels of Ancient Greece, the band bring this element into their heavy and ambient style.

Influenced musically by the likes of GOJIRA, BEHEMOTH and WATAIN, alongside classical piano compositions, AOIDOS strive to create a rich and textural soundscape that embraces the fierce energy of death and ethereality of black metal. To date, the band have taken to stages around South West Europe, including festival appearances at Bajonca Rock Fest, Rock dos Romanos, Mosher Fest, Melena Fest. 

Most recently, AOIDOS shared the bill with VADER, SEPTICFLESH and MOONSPELL at Laurus Nobilis Music Festival 2024. With a number of single releases behind them, AOIDOS are now set to unveil their debut album Oizys this November.

In additional news, the trio unveiled their new music video for the single “Barbarian” this past September and will be featured on their forthcoming album “Digital Cordyceps” out on Megaforce Records (release date TBD) to follow their 2017 breakout sophomore album “Delirium Tremens”.

“For me, Barbarian is a prime example of me doing the thing I love and that defines me the most. Continuously striving to improve my craft as a musician and a songwriter. But also the overall message of this song. Live!! Be free!! Find your own path!!! Question everything!!! And also we don’t need politicians or religion to shape our moral centers. In fact, It seems they distort the truth every chance they get. This whole album cycle has seemed to have this recurring theme about the narcissistic oligarchy that we have all fallen victim to. SARCOPHAGUM – Australian Death Metal Act To Unveil Cinematic Debut LP Via Nuclear Winter Records

Australia’s SARCOPHAGUM will release their debut full-length, The Grand Arc of Madness, on December 6th, 2024 through Nuclear Winter Records.

SARCOPHAGUM spawned to life in the early half of 2021, during the time of the plague as a new project featuring Golgothan Remains members past and present. The purpose being to provide a channel to explore new ideas and sounds in a studio-only setting.

The dark death metal realm remains the primary influence and a debut EP, Conduits to the Underworld, was released in 2022 through Nuclear Winter Records, followed swiftly by a stand alone single, “This Wrought Creation”. Now their full length debut is here, The Grand Arc of Madness. Poised to unleash a soundscape of disharmony and terror over the listener, the angular horror awaits…

Both a culmination of their already characteristic aesthetic and a whole new twist upon it, The Grand Arc of Madness sees SARCOPHAGUM fusing clanging angularity with haunting atmospherics, chaos with eerie melodicism, epic narrative with primal crush.

MEMBRANCE – Italian Death Metallers To Release New EP: Undead Remains

Today, Venice death metallers MEMBRANCE announce the release of their new EP Undead Remains out October 11th. With the announcement, the Italian band drops the first single “Corpse For Sale”, alongside a music video. Watch it HERE.

The band commented: “’Corpse For Sale’ is a metaphor of Venice seen as an abandoned corpse adrift, continuously stripped and plundered both by the worms that infest the city (Venetian people willing to sell it off to make money) and by those passing beasts (tourists) who just snatch a filthy morsel before leaving. A carcass that everyone is willing to see before it finally rots away”.

On the EP, MEMBRANCE say:“Undead Remains showcases what’s left from the sessions of our last album Undead Island; these are older and slightly more experimental tracks that the band was still working on during the recording of the full-length. For this reason they were not included in the album, as we wanted to give them more exposure in a subsequent release.

In addition to ‘Corpse For Sale’, among the new tracks with a more experimental style there is ‘Vengeance’s Price’, which features Sara Tacchetto, singer of Vallorch, on vocals. This song is inspired by Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice. Each verse is an act with a different character. The collaboration with Sara was born by entrusting her with two acts in which the protagonist is a woman.

To close this release, we have included a cover that is very dear to us, both for the themes covered and for its impact in the live setting, and a couple of live recordings of our most ferocious and punishing songs.
The artwork was painted by Francesco Cagali in the style of his previous work for us, while the mastering of the EP was handled by Luca Cocconi of Audiocore Studio, precisely to link these songs with the latest full-length Undead Island”.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Unleashes Animated Video For “Mammoth’s Hand” – Servitude To See Release September 27th On Metal Blade Records

“Mammoth’s Hand” is the latest single from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. The track comes by way of the band’s upcoming tenth studio album, Servitude, set for release on September 27th via Metal Blade Records.

“Mammoth’s Hand” is partly inspired by a scene from Don Coscarelli’s 1982 swords ‘n’ sorcery epic, The Beastmaster. “We usually like to give some idea of what kind of diversity is gonna be on the album with the first two tracks we release,” vocalist Brian Eschbach offers. “[Guitarist] Ryan Knight wrote the music for this, and the slow rhythm made me think of these barbaric warriors riding mammoths out in the snow or that scene from The Beastmaster when the Jun horde takes the village.”

Eschbach further elaborates, “‘Mammoth’s Hand’ is a romp through a fictitious frozen tundra in which a clan of nomadic mammoth riding cannibals conquer villages in a time devoid of technology. The slow groove of this song is a vibe not often implemented by the group but immediately inspired a vision in my mind of a slow moving yet gigantic and powerful beast of antagonistic nature.”

A gnarly beast of a record that’s not for the faint-hearted, Killing For Revenge dishes up nightmare-inducing imagery courtesy of Barnes via the vocalist’s trademark guttural vocals.
