Swedish Death Metal Unit DECOMPOSED To Release “Wither” On Chaos Records

Swedish Death Metal Unit DECOMPOSED have announced the forthcoming release of Wither, the band’s third full-length album. Wither will be released October 3 on Mexico’s Chaos Records.  New songs “By Nothingness Crowned” and “Submerged” are streaming at the following link https://chaos-records.bandcamp.com/album/wither and below:

Wither is uncompromising, riff-driven Swedish Death Metal that proudly follows in the giant footsteps of genre leaders DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, and the like.  Wither was recorded in mid-2015 by composer/founder Jesper Ekstål along with drummer Emil Leijon in Studio Blastbeat in Sundsvall, the same studio in which the previous albums were recorded. The album will be available on CD and vinyl formats.

BAND BIO:
Sweden’s DECOMPOSED grew into a band in 2010, shortly after being conceived as a pure one-man Death Metal project. A year later the Stench of Death demo was recorded, which led to the self-titled debut album the following year. Two years thereafter the follow-up, entitled Devouring was released, a much more mature creation focused on darkness, horror and madness.

After a few live performances and quite a few internal struggles, DECOMPOSED had to cease to exist as a live band. All members left, and only composer/founder Jesper Ekstål remained. The work on the third chapter Wither was well under way during this period, and it continued during obstacles of every kind.

Polish Death Metal Band BANISHER Reveal New Lyric Video

Critically acclaimed Polish Death Metal band BANISHER have revealed a lyric video for “The Iconoclast” a new track from their forthcoming album Oniric Delusions. The track is a four and a half-minute rager of old-school Death Metal.

Starting with their Sorrow of Death demo back from 2005 , Banisher was originally founded in Rzeszów, Poland by Hubert Więcek and Michał Such. With every release, the band have set abundantly clear markers of progression and maturity to reach the present Extreme Death Metal powerhouse they’ve become.

Including members from such bands as Decapitated, Redemptor, Darzamat, Nuclear Vomit, Shodan and Ketha, the new opus was recorded by Więcek (guitars, bass), Szczepan Inglot (vox), and Jacek Gut (drums). Michał Bartosik was added as their new permanent bassist at the very start of 2016. Since their previous release (‘Scarcity’), the band has seen a significantly marked growth both in style and production and especially the dexterity of guitarist Więcek. It should be noted that Więcek has the honor of being endorsed by Ibanez Guitars since 2014 as well.

The band has already extensively toured the greater part of Europe and appeared at several festivals such as Inferno Metal Festival, Eastern Deathfest, Flesh Party Open Air, Cieszanów Rock Festival, and Metal Head’s Mission among others; they have also headlined Metal Blast in Cairo, Egypt. No doubt they will be looking to unleash their new material to all on tour soon well into 2016.

Coming in at just over 30 mins. ‘Oneiric Delusions’ was recorded, mixed and mastered at Invent-Sound Studio in Bydgoszcz, Poland by Szymon Grodzki. The album will be released on CD complemented with a comprehensive 16 page booklet and a lacquered sticker of the album cover artwork of the album supplied by Pete “Astmol” Zając.

WHITECHAPEL recently completed an extensive run across the US on the annual Vans Warped Tour, touring in support of their sixth full-length, Mark Of The Blade. Hailed as, “an exciting milestone,” by Alternative Press, Mark Of The Blade was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) and sees WHITECHAPEL redefine who they are and what they are capable of with the resulting eleven tracks.

DENOMINATE – Signs To Inverse Records

Finnish Technical Death Metal band Denominate signs to Inverse Records.

Denominate is a progressive Technical Death Metal band based in Oulu, Finland. Denominate draws influence from bands like Death and Carcass and blends it together with newer, more progressive and technical elements to create a progressive sound with a touch of old-school.

Denominate’s new album, “Those Who Beheld the End”, which is being released on August 5th 2016 through Inverse Records, is an album that further hones Denominate’s sound towards the progressive. “Those Who Beheld the End” has a more polished sound and experiments more with melody, while still keeping the heaviness of Denominate’s debut EP “Realms of Confusion” present.

“Those Who Beheld the End” was recorded and mixed at a private studio in Oulu. The album was recorded and mixed by Joacim U. Belius and the mastering was done in Sweden at Unisound AB by Dan Swanö.

ABNORMALITY are a young Death Metal band that exhibits the talent, energy and drive to go very far in our Metal world. Experiencing ABNORMALITY live has only solidified my previously positive Metal opinion about them BIG time. Originating from Massachusetts and fronted by vocalist Mallika Sundaramurthy, ABNORMALITY are signed to Metal Blade Records. I was fortunate to witness the live Death Metal fury of ABNORMALITY at Oddbody’s Music Room, in Dayton, Ohio, on May 7th, of this year.

With ABNORMALITY‘s new studio album Mechanisms of Omniscience just being released on April 29th, they are touring to support their Death Metal album achievement; supporting mega Metal monsters BATTLECROSS, SUFFOCATION and the legendary SOULFLY. This is quite an impressive supporting slot to have, considering the enormous influence that SUFFOCATION has had on the Death Metal family and the unparalleled Metal history of Max Cavalera’s SOULFLY. Whoa.

Being in the pit for any Metal show at my age now is usually not that stinking easy. I do feel the hits, slaps and random punches more than I used to, say, twenty-five years ago. Despite my being older, I am more wiser; therefore being up-front and against the stage for ABNORMALITY was a no-brainer for me! I took the numerous hits! F*ck yeah. I wanted to be a part of Death Metal history, being able to say I experienced ABNORMALITY as close as I could get! This band is that fun to see and hear up-close; combined with their Death Metal assault, grooves, vibes and obvious future potential, it’s freaking bragging rights to only see them this way and not from afar.

ABNORMALITY played to a packed house at Oddbody’s, with their battalion of fans that were unmistakably in attendance. Forget about the song list here; I was too busy taking in ABNORMALITY‘s deadly wall-of-sound, while doing my damn best to sustain the physical barrage upon my body. That’s Metal. Pure and f*%kin simple. Mallika Sundaramurthy‘s guttural vocals are eye-popping! Do not underestimate Mallika. Her stage presence is commanding, while working the fans into a Metal frenzy, regardless of her petite size and seriously cute looks. Mallika’s vocals and the entire band, without a doubt, kicked my ears into Death Metal submission! Amazing.

I obviously had a blast being a part of this ABNORMALITY moment in Metal time. For thirty minutes or so I didn’t care about any other band in the world; my entire Metal soul was focused on what I was feeling and hearing from ABNORMALITY. The body hits I was taking didn’t matter; nor did my head getting dizzy spells from the entire pit encounter. This was my Metal moment with ABNORMALITY and I was going to savor every f*#kin second of it; as well I did. Metal Be Thy Name. – Stone

We are proud to announce the release of Ravenous Impulse to mark a new time for the band. Ravenous Impulse features a collaboration of song writing styles from [bassist] Jeremy [Turner; ex-Origin], [guitarist] Justin [Payne] and myself. Coupled with John Lonstreth’s approach to drums and Kris [Bolton; D.F.W.B.]’s vocal delivery, we feel that our sound is in a new place while still maintaining the band’s identity. Concepts behind most of the lyrical content mainly deal with violent instinct and diabolical human behaviors. We feel these subjects and themes are more realistic and relative to everyday society and more terrifying. Expect a classic Death Metal sound with modern speed.”

Founded in 2001, UNMERCIFUL released its debut, Unmercifully Beaten, in 2006. With intensive tour runs from 2006 through 2009 with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Necrophagist, Decrepit Birth, Cryptopsy, and more, the band went through various personnel changes before deciding to disband in 2009. What started out as just a reunion show in 2012, quickly returned the band to working status. With consistent live shows and numerous metal fest appearances, the band released a self-titled demo in 2014 as a first step in the process to completing its first full-length release in nearly a decade. After the abrupt departure of drummer James King, John Longstreth was enlisted to record drums for Ravenous Impulse.

In July 2015, UNMERCIFUL entered Chapman Studios (Origin, Tech N9NE) to work with longtime producer and friend, Robert Rebeck. Longstreth laid down a phenomenal recording on drums. The rest of the album was recorded and mixed at Clint Appelhanz’s own Waveworks Studio. The process was long and tedious, but the end result is nothing short of sonically devastating. Ravenous Impulse raises the bar of relentless, unmerciful, aggressive, and plainly brutal Death Metal. Southern California’s Ghoulgotha have re-emerged from the depths with the release of To Starve the Cross. The band’s 2015 debut – The Deathmass Cloak – was praised by critics for its demented revisionism of doom-infused, old-school Death Metal. To Starve the Cross sees Ghoulgotha twist an already abstract reality into forms never before experienced.

Cvlt Nation, in response to the release of The Deathmass Cloak, said it was time to “posers the door.” To Starve the Cross is the 10-headed beast ready to devour those who didn’t heed that warning. This album, simply put, is a masterpiece of atonal and dissonant Death Metal delivered straight from the warped mind of Wayne Sarantopoulos (Decrepitaph, Encoffination, et. al).
