KING PARROT To Join GWAR On 2026 US Spring Tour – Tickets On Sale Now!

Australian grindcore maniacs KING PARROT will return to US stages this Spring supporting intergalactic shock rock legends GWAR on their Gor-Gor Strikes Back Tour!

The onstage bedlam begins on March 19th in Richmond, Virginia and rampages through April 29th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Additional support will be provided by Soulfly. The latest stretch of Stateside dates follow KING PARROT’s epic jaunt on The Heaviest Tour Of The Summer featuring Pantera and Amon Amarth.

Comments vocalist Matt Young, “When we got the call from the Gwar crew to head back to the US in 2026, it was an offer we couldn’t refuse and to be out there again with our brothers from Soulfly too, it’s really the perfect tour package for us! I think fans of extreme music are gonna love this tour as it really has something for everyone. After our massive tour in the US alongside Pantera and Amon Amarth in 2025, this is the best possible way we could get back and tour in support of our new album. Australian grindcore maniacs KING PARROT will return to North American stages later this month for a two-and-a-half-month-long Summer trek. The epic journey commences on July 25th at Brooklyn Paramount Theatre in Brooklyn, New York with a special performance supporting Acid Bath and Pentagram followed by several shows alongside Weedeater. On July 31st, KING PARROT will join The Heaviest Tour Of The Summer featuring Pantera and Amon Amarth, with one-off gigs with Squid Pisser and Bonginator scattered throughout, making for over three dozen shows of marauding mayhem! Recorded at Melbourne’s Dangertone studios with engineer Luke Walton, it’s the first full-length album since 2017’s critically adored Ugly Produce offering and their first new music since 2022’s Holed Up In The Lair EP.

Applying a similar approach to the writing process of their previous records, which has been historically organic and old-school, KING PARROT adopted a new approach to the studio process. Pulling the new record together was a meticulously creative endeavour and the final product is the most complete, aggressive, and urgent the band has ever sounded.

KING PARROT – Unleashes “Punish The Runt” Single + Australian Tour Dates Announced

“Punish The Runt” is the latest single from Australia’s KING PARROT. The track comes by way of the band’s forthcoming new full-length, A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot, set for release on June 6th via Housecore Records in North America.

A hook laden, auditory assault encompassing all of the elements that KING PARROT fans have come to know and love in the band’s sound, “Punish The Runt” encapsulates modern grindcore elements, with a punk rock ethos, and grooving riffs making for a true reflection of the band.

Comments vocalist Matt Young, “This new one is a personal favorite of mine. We enjoyed putting this one together and it’s got every aspect of what the band does in it: grind, thrash, punk, and even rock ‘n’ roll elements. It was one of the first tracks we put together in the writing sessions. We hope you all dig listening as much as we did writing.”

KING PARROT recently wrapped up a monstrous thirty-five date arena tour through Europe and the UK supporting Pantera and Power Trip followed by a full European club tour with death metal pioneers, Master.
