On July 26th, 1976 – The flamboyant and legendary TED NUGENT received his first Gold album for his self-titled debut studio album released in 1975. This said album would go on to sell two million (plus) copies in the United States. Holy Girl Scout Cookies!
On July 26th, 1982 – The fabulous FOREIGNER had their hit single, Break It Up, ranked at #26, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Send it in!! This great song is featured on FOREIGNER’s studio album 4, from 1981.
On July 26th, 1992 – Legendary KISS guitarist, songwriter and lead singer Paul Stanley married model Pamela Bowen. Unfortunately, the pair would later divorce in March of 2001. Shown above: Paul Stanley’s first solo studio album from 1978.

Gary Cherone was born on July 26th, 1961, in Massachusetts, USA. Happy Rockin’ Birthday, Gary Cherone! Whoa! Gary Cherone is a co-founding member of the grand Hard Rock band from Boston: EXTREME. Gary Cherone was also a lead singer for VAN HALEN, being the featured singer on Van Halen’s 1998 studio album: III. Gary also toured with Van Halen, in support of their eleventh album III.

ANTAGONIST ZERO – “No Tears” MCD Releases On August 14th, 2015, via Inverse Records

As the Finnish summer draws to an end, the once white nights grow darker and colder by the day. Antagonist Zero delivers a fitting soundtrack for the season, complementing the darkening skies with a blend of atmospheric melodies and aggressive melancholy. On August 14 the band’s latest offering, No Tears MCD, is released via Inverse Records. No Tears continues on the path set by Antagonist Zero’s previous releases, the critically acclaimed Doomed and Nighttime Harmony, blending together elements of doom, death and post shades of metal.
No Tears consists of five songs: three originals and two covers. The originals are a harbinger of an upcoming full-length album, demonstrating new elements in Antagonist Zero’s music – such as the title track’s this-will-get-stuck-in-your-head riffs, Profound Oblivion’s wrecking ball groove and Suru, which is sung completely in Finnish. The two cover songs are familiar to listeners from the band’s live shows: Doom:VS’s melodic doom suits the band like a glove in the form of The Lachrymal Sleep, while Missä muruseni on, by Finnish pop queen Jenni Vartiainen, has received a work over which has already charmed live audiences all over Europe, Russia and China.
The release of No Tears will be celebrated on August 15 at Dark River festival in Kotka, Finland, where Antagonist Zero will be playing with such bands as Ghost Brigade, Poisonblack and Stam1na. More tour dates will be announced soon.

A SOUND OF THUNDER – Debuts New Album, Exclusive Cover Art On Kickstarter; Based On Valiant’s SHADOWMAN Comic Book Series!

Washington D.C. area Metal band A SOUND OF THUNDER has announced their new album “Tales from the Deadside” with a Kickstarter campaign that reached full funding in under 24 hours. The new album is a full-length concept album based on Valiant Entertainment’s SHADOWMAN comic book series.
The album was recorded at Assembly Line Studios with RIAA-platinum awarded producer Kevin ‘131’ Gutierrez (Shinedown, While Heaven Wept, Raven). The new release “Tales from the Deadside” is set for release on September 25th and will be available on CD, limited colored vinyl, and in a number of exclusive pre-order packages only on Kickstarter. The standard CD edition of “Tales from the Deadside” will feature all-new Shadowman cover artwork, while select backers of the Kickstarter campaign can obtain an exclusive cover featuring Shadowman’s arch-nemesis Master Darque. (see below):
“The story of Shadowman, his alter-ego Jack Boniface, and the many characters in his world inspired us to create what we believe is our best album to date,” said A Sound Of Thunder guitarist Josh Schwartz. “We let the story lead us to places our music has never been before, combining all the elements of supernatural horror, drama, action and adventure found in the comics. Of course everything has gone through our own unique Thunderous filter, and all the familiar ASOT elements will be there, Shadowman’s harrowing journey demanded no less!”
A Sound of Thunder was formed in Washington, DC in 2009. Their most recent album “The Lesser Key of Solomon” was released on September 9th, 2014 via Mad Neptune Records and debuted at #43 on the Billboard Heatseeker’s Albums chart.

After a hugely successful Europe run with SLASH, RAVENEYE are thrilled to announce the legendary rocker has extended his invitation for the UK band to rejoin him on his US tour, starting October 7th in Minneapolis before hitting Canada for several dates, and then onto U.S. cities including Seattle, Denver and Los Angeles.
Before the Slash dates begin, RAVENEYE will make their US debut at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville on October 3rd. At the conclusion of the SLASH dates, the UK trio will hit the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento on October 24th.

AC/DC is ready to rock stadiums this summer. The Rock Or Bust North America Tour rolls into Gillette Stadium – home of the New England Patriots – on August 22nd and concludes five weeks later at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
After the release of ‘High Voltage’ in the summer of 1976, AC/DC headlined London’s legendary Marquee Club seven times between June and August.
In England, ‘Back In Black’ sold 10,000 copies a day in its first week of release.
AC/DC have headlined the Monsters Of Rock Festival more than anyone else: four times in 1981, 1984, 1991 and 2010.
The 1982 tour for ‘For Those About To Rock We Salute You’ was one of AC/DC’s biggest and the first to feature their signature firing cannons on stage.
The five-leg, year-long Razors Edge World Tour was one of AC/DC’s most successful, becoming one of the highest-grossing tours of 1991.
In 1992, AC/DC released ‘AC/DC Live’ – their first live album recorded with vocalist Brian Johnson.

Acid King released their first album in a decade, Middle of Nowhere, Center of Everywhere, in April. Outburn Magazine awarded the album a perfect 10, saying the new songs are “six of the most haunting, memorable stoner rock tunes in some time.” Decibel, who called the record a “superlative cosmic pile driver,” and dubbed the trio “pioneers of the whole stoner metal sound.”

Chilean / Belgian Epic Doom metallers KING HEAVY present La Gárgola, the first track off their upcoming self-titled, full-length debut album. “La Gárgola” (Spanish for “Gargoyle”) offers a good look at what’s to come when the album is released in early September. This is heavy and epic Doom Metal led by the multifaceted vocals of Luce Vee (Hooded Priest / Witchsmeller Pursuivant), melting into twisted and obscure melodies in the vein of Celtic Frost’s masterpiece Into the Pandemonium.

Cruz Del Sur Music will release the album September 4 (Europe) and September 19 (North America) on CD, digital and limited-edition vinyl. (Los Angeles) Legendary guitarist, JOE SATRIANI, is gearing up for the release of his 15th solo studio album, Shockwave Supernova, on Friday, July 24th. The weeks leading up to the album release continue to be filled with exciting activity from the renowned guitarist.
Recently, SATRIANI began debuting a web series he’s dubbed, “Behind The Album,” which gives fans a rare glimpse behind the scenes while making “Shockwave Supernova”. The album was co- produced with John Cuniberti and recorded at Skywalker Sound in Lucas Valley, CA, with keyboardist and guitarist Mike Keneally, drummer Marco Minnemann and bassist Bryan Beller. BEHOLD! THE MONOLITH – To Release ‘Architects Of The Void’ On September 29th

Los Angeles Stoner/Doom Metal band BEHOLD! THE MONOLITH will release new album Architects of the Void September 29 on CD, digital, and vinyl formats. The album can be pre-ordered at this location.
Legendary producer Billy Anderson has expertly harnessed the band’s smoke-belching locomotive style, while the songwriting is the most captivating of the quartet’s career. Guitarist Matt Price had this to say about the results:
“It’s a relatively dark album, which is probably fitting. A few of the riffs and ideas had pretty much coagulated right before Kevin’s accident, and most of the others were colored by it, so yeah it feels kinda heavy and dark to me. I hope I don’t sound like a high falootin’ artisté, but it felt personal for me and Chase, so it wound up being more than just stringing riffs together, ya know? That being said Cas and Jordan came in and kicked ass and brought their own stamp to the sound. So it’s a bit different, but I think it captures the essence what Behold! The Monolith is all about!”
Architects of the Void follows critically acclaimed 2012 release Defender, Redeemist and marks the debut of vocalist Jordan Nalley who took the reigns following the tragic 2013 death of Kevin McDade in a car accident. The album will also be the first for new bassist Jason “Cas” Casanova (SASQUATCH). The album artwork was created by Dusty Peterson (Bloodbath, Six Feet Under, Oceano).
