Memphis, TN rockers Every Mother’s Nightmare (EMN) launched the second video, ‘Here’s To The Ones’ from their dynamic new album ‘RESURRECT THE FAITHFUL’.
Released on October 23rd, ‘RESURRECT THE FAITHFUL’ is impacting radio around the globe and continues to gain momentum. The album is being hailed as the best in the band’s career. Click the link below to hear and see the video:
‘Here’s To The Ones’ is inspired by a fan and Veteran ‘Mighty Mike’, who met the band at a previous show. He waited all day to meet the band and when he finally did, he asked them to sign his prosthetic leg and take pictures. ‘Mighty Mikes’ actions had a profound affect on lead vocalist and EMN founder Rick Ruhl. “He’s seen some shit and it really got to me. When telling this story in recent interviews, it still chokes me up everytime. We owe our military who put themselves on the frontline to protect the freedoms of everyone in the U.S.. Freedom at cost, Blood’s what we pay.” says Rick Ruhl
Oct. 7, 2020 – Baroness release Live at Maida Vale BBC – Vol. II, a limited edition vinyl release featuring four tracks from the band’s Fall 2019 session at the famed London studio, as part of this year’s Record Store Day BlackFriday event (Nov. 27, Abraxan Hymns).
Live at Maida Vale BBC – Vol. II track list:
Throw Me An Anchor
Borderlines
I’m Already Gone
Tourniquet/Can Oscura
The EP was recorded during the band’s European tour in support of Gold & Grey, with Baroness joining BBC Radio 1 Rock Show host Daniel P. Carter and producer Simon Askew at Maida Vale Studios on Sept. 27. Live at Maida Vale BBC – Vol II features black splatter vinyl with an etched b-side, custom artwork created by Baroness’ John Baizley and will retail for $23.98.
Baroness released Live at Maida Valle – BBC in 2013, following the band’s Yellow & Green tour. Pitchfork said the four-song offering “displayed the same grit and drive for which Baroness first garnered acclaim,” while PopMatters said the collection “crackles with energy.”
The band’s most recent release, Gold & Grey (http://smarturl.it/baroness-goldandgrey) arrived in June of 2019 with Stereogum saying the collection “is the best thing Baroness has ever done… a masterpiece,” NME declaring it “a work of art in the truest sense of the word “ and NPR, noting the synchronicity between Baroness’ music and imagery, observing that “Gold & Grey feels like a callback to the heyday of the rock album as art object.” The 17-track release debuted atop Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums Sales and Independent Albums’ Charts and found the band gracing the covers of both Revolver and Kerrang! magazines. The band documented the album’s creation in a series of videos, dubbed “Making Gold & Grey” (https://smarturl.it/makinggoldandgrey).
With Baroness’ 2020 tour schedule canceled, the four-piece released “Tourniquet (Socially Distant)” in April, offering fans a new, stirring rendition of the song (https://youtu.be/HeZw2W2L4Ss) and a message of hope: “Be safe. Be good to each other. Act with personal and civic responsibility. We’ll see you again soon.” The band convened last month for a livestream event that saw them perform Gold & Grey live in its entirety for the first time ever. Metal Insider said the special performance was “mesmerizing, emotional and, perhaps, the band at its creative height thus far.”
