DARKBLACK – Northwestern U.S. ragers DARKBLACK have just put the final touches on their bruising new collection of Traditional Metal, in the form of the Midnight Wraith EP!
Following 2009’s blazing Sellsword full-length and constructed by the band’s revamped band lineup since that recording, DARKBLACK prove they’re at their finest hour yet on the freshly completed Midnight Wraith. Composed of five unrelenting Heavy Metal anthems realized in the murky gloom of the band’s hometown of Portland, Oregon and recorded at Revolver Studios by Nalin Silva, the Midnight Wraith tells tales of death, betrayal, unholy spirits and fantastic battles. Midnight Wraith will be released on December 1st, 2010, via San Jose, California based Stormspell Records, who also handled the Sellsword album. Midnight Wraith’s ominous cover artwork is by illustrator Richard Smith. (See EP artwork at top of post).
In celebration of the EP’s release, DARKBLACK will kick off a triumphant eight show West Coast tour on the exact day Midnight Wraith will be available to the public. With shows confirmed in Washington, Oregon and California, DARKBLACK will be rocking alongside killer acts like Christian Mistress, Walken, Huntress, Gypsyhawk and more throughout the brief yet brutal trek… including a FREE hometown record release show on December 3rd.
