JOE SATRIANI ANNOUNCES U.S. TOUR STARTING AUGUST 29th IN SAN DIEGO

TOUR WILL CRISS-CROSS THE COUNTRY THROUGH OCTOBER 26th ENDING IN OAKLAND, CA

(Los Angeles, CA) Joe Satriani has been an unstoppable force on the music scene for over 27 years. Now, the guitar great is announcing a new U.S. tour, supporting his latest album Unstoppable Momentum. The tour is set to launch on August 29th in San Diego, CA before hitting Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Texas and heading east to New York, Boston and Upper Darby, PA before winding up in late October back on the west coast with a show on October 26th in Oakland, California.

Joining Satriani on the road are veteran band mate Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai) on keyboards, along with a new rhythm-section, featuring bassist Bryan Beller (Dethklok, Dweezil Zappa) and drummer Marco Minnemann (Adrian Belew, Steve Wilson).

Satriani is ready to celebrate the release of Unstoppable Momentum, his 14th studio album, on May 7, 2013. The Epic Records release will highlight the first single, “A Door Into Summer,” at radio this week, while the video for “A Door Into Summer” premiered exclusively on Rollingstone.com. Satriani will be a guest on the nationally syndicated radio show, “Rockline” hosted by Bob Coburn on May 8th.

Fans are encouraged to pre-order Unstoppable Momentum via Sony Music and Satriani’s own website store. When pre-ordering through the Epic Records store at http://www.myplaydirect.com/joe-satriani fans will be given the chance to bundle new signed copies of the album with exclusive t-shirts and guitar straps. “Some of my drawings have made their way on to guitars, straps and picks, LP and CD booklets, t-shirts, hats, keychains, etc and even my live stage productions,” explains Satriani. “This book represents my first effort to finally compile my oddly drawn friends into one place, a wildly colorful portfolio of sorts. A collection of drawings meant to inspire and entertain.”

THORNAFIRE – Signs With FDA Rekotz

FDA Rekotz is proud to announce the addition of Chilean death squad THORNAFIRE.

Offering a visceral and ruthless brand of Extreme Death Metal in the vein of early Sepultura, Death and Massacre, THORNAFIRE have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with through their intense live show and a trio of well-received albums. The band’s fourth full-length will be out in late 2013 on FDA Rekotz. Prepare yourselves for the coming onslaught of high-caliber death metal!

THORNAFIRE started out in 1998 by the hand of Víctor Mac-Namara with the sole intention of playing Death Metal. A year later two songs were recorded for the Granded for all Somberness demo. With that tape and a savage live show the band started to achieve a strong name in the local scene. After a series of line-up changes, an MCD entitled Mortus Tenebrae Surrectus was released in 2001, which received many good reviews from the local and international metal media. With that THORNAFIRE became one of the most promising Chilean Extreme Metal acts. The recording saw worldwide distribution via the tried and true methods of tape-trading and word of mouth.

THORNAFIRE began to gig and tour around Chile and into Bolivia and Argentina. In 2005, the band recorded their debut full-length, Exacerbated Gnostic Manifestation. The album stood out as a milestone in brutality and a masterpiece of hate. It also caught the attention of Incantation’s John McEntee, who signed THORNAFIRE to his label, Ibex Moon Records. The spring of 2007 saw the re-release and worldwide distribution of the debut and, in 2009 the band released Vorex Deconstrucción on Ibex Moon Records. A European invasion soon followed which saw the band appear alongside the likes of Master, Incantation, Deranged and many others at the Obscene Extreme Festival.

Since then, THORNAFIRE has shared stages with Slayer, Overkill, Dimmu Borgir, Motley Crue and several other notable acts. In 2012, bassist/vocalist Christian Argandoña joined the fold and Eclipse Nox Coagula was unleashed with critical acclaim and rabid reception from the band’s growing legion of fans. With a deal with FDA Rekotz in place, THORNAFIRE’s quest for global domination continues. Prepare yourselves.
