DRUNK DAD – Okay all of you Noise and Experimental Metal loyalists; there’s a new band for y’all to add to your extended list of must buys for 2013: DRUNK DADs 4 song EP release titled: Morbid Reality. Avant garde Metalheads and those that follow the Melvins will surely get their brains gleefully sculpted with the Noise party that DRUNK DAD plays so freaking well.

With the absolute heavy album opener Guts, the musical melee has begun. Guts is nearly 8 minutes of maddening vocals and mind assaulting beats and guitar parts that make more sense than our current climate change controversy. In other words, you must go with the eclectic flow with this band’s representation of extreme and join the party; otherwise you’ll be a wallflower waiting for the next easy listening bus to arrive.

With songs Seizure, Ritual and Scum Fee rounding out this EP, DRUNK DAD has no problem exploring the atmospherics of sound, providing both calm and violent intervals that weave themselves together in an unexpected package of fascinating ear candy. This is Noise you want to shake loose to while running aimlessly with a cold beer in each hand; while not giving a shit about anything that could possibly spoil your day. Metal be thy name.

Eolian Empire released the four-song Morbid Reality via 12” vinyl and digital download on June 11th, 2013. Click RIGHT HERE to purchase the digital download!

DEHUMAN REIGN “Destructive Intent” – A Morbid And Menacing Must!

DEHUMAN REIGN – Releasing on July 26th, 2013, via FDA Rekotz is the menacing debut album, Destructive Intent, from Berlin’s Death Metal squad: Dehuman Reign. With (about) 20 minutes of face-melting Death Metal to be devoured on Destructive Intent, the keep it short, fast and deadly approach in which Dehuman Reign ventures into is not a bad idea at all. The shortened album approach in Metal has succeeded in the past, with Slayer’s Reign In Blood being the untouchable template for generations of bands and fans to savor.

Here we have Dehuman Reign and not Slayer, so the comparisons can stop with lengths of albums. With that said, Dehuman Reign rages along with a Gore Metal meets Death Metal sound; a blanket of sound that’s terrifying enough to put some of your worst nightmares to their knees. Morbid vocals and extreme speed musically, the two marry into each other with a perfection that only we Death and Gore Metal fans can wholly appreciate.

With killer album art and equally killer songs, what more can any savvy Death/Gore/Extreme Metal fan want? I’ll tell you this much, with this album playing and the lights turned off, Dehuman Reign easily can scare the shit out of me; especially the evil provoking spoken word tracks of: Invocation I Black Seed and Invocation II Scorched Earth. Whatever the deadly case may be, the melancholic vibes and darkness that lurks behind these spoken words are what keeps me up late at night and I’ll never learn my lesson; cause this is the underground Metal I crave for. Metal be thy name.

With nine devastating songs packed into a nearly thirty-three minute event horizon, Aeonic Obliteration features stellar production values courtesy of Ivan at Anthropocide Studios (Abominable Putridity) and full-color cosmic destruction ala JoeJesus of DeviantArt.
