DENVER BLACK SKY – Announces Lineup Additions And World Domination

Earlier this week, DENVER BLACK SKY – set to take place August 2nd and 3rd at the Gothic Theatre and Moe’s BBQ – revealed on their official Facebook page plans to extend the lineup of their two-day, three-stage event with three additional acts. Wild speculation began almost immediately with fans throwing out the names of bands they dreamed to see and now the secret is out.

The doers of the event are pleased to welcome Mexican death grind perpetrators, Rottenness, who feature within their ranks Mile High City metal veteran Ben Pitts on vocals. The band will drag their own special brand of filthtified death metal to the DBS stage on Saturday.

Also making their way to the ceremony of chaos is Los Angeles powerviolence troupe Maladjusted whose female-empowered, vegan hardcore will only add more punk angst to an already crusty Sunday.

Finally, DENVER BLACK SKY welcomes iconic grindcore/crust combatants, Nausea, to their riotous bill. Born into the emotional wasteland known as Los Angeles, Nausea has been spreading their sonic disease since 1987 and will grace the stage Sunday evening.

WICKED INQUISITION – TOUR DATES

Minnesota merchants of doom Wicked Inquisition are pleased to announce dates for their upcoming Midwest US tour. Beginning on July 18th in La Crosse WI, the tour will last a little over one week.

The band’s vocalist/guitarist Nate Towle had the following to say: “We are really excited to be getting on the road for the first time! We have become tight as a band, and it will be good to show people our material in a live setting.”

In further Wicked Inquisition news, the band will be releasing a digipack CD version of their EP “Silence Thereafter” on Tridroid Records. The CD is currently available for pre-order here and orders will ship starting on July 5th 2014. The EP is also available currently as a cassette and digital download. BATTLECROSS – Thrash Metal Battalion Confirms Summer Headlining Tour

American Thrash Metal battalion, BATTLECROSS, has confirmed a short run of Summer headlining dates with Canada’s Wacken Battle winners, Crimson Shadows, and New York’s IKILLYA. Set to commence on July 23rd in Columbus, Ohio, the short but ravaging trek will topple fourteen cities followed by an appearance at Michigan’s Dirt Fest as well as additional tour dates supporting Killswitch Engage.

Comments guitarist Hiran Deraniyagala, “We’re excited to announce our first headlining run in quite a while. It’s short but sweet, and this gives us time to write the new record this Summer. We are stoked to have our Canadian brothers, Crimson Shadows, joining us. We did a short run with those guys earlier this year and they’re a great live band and have an awesome record coming out next Fall.”

After two busy Summers on the 2012 Trespass America tour with Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage and Trivium, the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival and Metallica’s Orion Festival, BATTLECROSS looks forward to some downtime prior to their South American run with Killswitch Engage when they’ll begin to compose the follow-up to their Metal Blade-released War Of Will full-length.

Dubbed “one hell of a modern-day thrash album,” by Headbangorgtfo.com, War Of Will debuted at #134 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, #118 on the Top Current Albums chart, and #2 on the Heatseekers chart. BATTLECROSS is currently traversing Europe on a series of festival appearances including Download Festival and the Graspop Metal Meeting, plus club shows with Huntress and Lacuna Coil.

Guitarist Tony Asta says, “The past year has been very inspiring for the band and our attitude towards the writing process this time around is more confident and driven. HELLGATE HAPPENINGS:

HELLGATE – Since the bands’ formation in March of 2014, HELLGATE has accomplished a great deal, including an appearance on NBC-TV as well as write ups in a number of local and regional papers including The Lively Times and The Independent.

HELLGATE has already received some national radio airplay and has created a strong web presence in such a very short time as well.

Now, with the release of their Self-Titled Debut EP, the band is ready to go national. The KillHate Tour kicks off July 3rd, and will take the band through MT, WA, OR, CA, and NV. Proceeds from this tour will be donated to NPAP against police brutality.
