This is a major milestone for Finnish melodic heavy metal band Invincia, as they officially release their debut EP, The Enemy Within, across all digital platforms. Following the strong impact of their first two singles, The Enemy Within and Act of Insurrection, the band closes this first chapter with Moon, a track that reveals the emotional and atmospheric side of Invincia’s sound. Deeply influenced by the theatrical flair of Savatage and the early prog-metal mysticism of Queensrÿche, the song delivers soaring vocals, melancholic melodies, and an epic build that explodes into a powerful climax.

Tracklist – The Enemy Within EP:
1.The Enemy Within
2.Act of Insurrection
3.Moon

The EP was mixed and mastered by renowned producer Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.) at Mass Destruction Production, ensuring a rich, polished sound that captures the band’s musical depth and dynamic range.

It’s a mystic and emotional ballad inspired by the powerful nordic nature and a rich storytelling tradition.” says guitarist and founder Joel Karlsson

Despite being 100% independent, Invincia has already gained early recognition in the Nordic Metal scene, including both first 2 singles in Spotify’s official “Metallia Suomesta” playlist, and a growing global audience. The band’s blend of classic Heavy Metal influence, (Savatage, Helloween, Queensryche, Judas Priest, Dio), with contemporary emotions and storytelling is quickly making them one to watch.

Kenneth Nylund – Lead Vocals
Joel Karlsson – Guitar
Alexander Södergård – Guitar

Metalcore stalwarts, Age of Ruin, have released “The Ghosts We Carry,” the second single from forthcoming album, Nothingman, on all digital platforms and as an official music video! The track embodies classic Age of Ruin metalcore riffing with a brutally heavy breakdown chorus sing-along. A b-side, non-album track, “Reflections,” accompanies the release of the new single.

The music video for “The Ghosts We Carry,” produced by Pablo Van Winkle, is available at youtu.be/4ZnI3p-w8Ek

NothingmanAge of Ruin’s forthcoming album, is a collection of 10 songs that cuts a path to the heart with harmony and angst that others would be naïve not to mimic. The band sacrificed blood and sweat for two years to expel NothingmanAge of Ruin began the recording process in October of 2023, and after nine months of tracking on location in Richmond, VA, at the Bakery Studio, in Washington, DC, at Ivakota Studio, and at the Riff Dojo in Takoma Park, MD, (the record was produced by Mike Schleibaum of Darkest Hour), Nothingman was complete. This is the biggest, most richly woven tapestry from the band yet, and the time to unleash it is near.

Line-up:

Benjamin Swan – vocals
Christopher Fleming – bass
Daniel Fleming – guitar
Hendrik Osinga – drums
Casey Flanagan – guitar

In 2023 and 2024, Age of Ruindid some precursory promotion of Nothingman’s material, traveling up and down the east coast, dousing nonbelievers with their fire, with such acts as Black Flag, Madball, Jimmy’s Chicken Shack, and Anvil. Yes, that Anvil.

Ripping guitars, unforgivably brutal drums, bass sounds that have shaken the underworld, and screeching vocals are just the beginning of this incarnation of a true headbanger’s incantation. What we saw unearthed back in 1998 has now grown. The road worn warriors of the AoRmy have forced enough breakdowns to overwhelm any AAA mechanic, with miles on the highway ahead.

Their punk and metal roots hold firm, and their thrash tendencies are on full display as this towering presence of a band branches out over new tonal terrain and soundscape; reminding all who fall under its shadow, that the light shining through is a new dawn in the Age of RuinNothingman will be celebrated in all formats and on all streaming platforms on October 17.

FFO: In Flames, Soilwork, Killswitch Engage, and Gojira.
