MIDNIGHT is pleased to present a visualizer for “Violence On Violence” live. The track comes off the band’s Satanic Attack Live! recording set for release on November 6th via Metal Blade Records.

Reigning in hell, screaming like a storm, MIDNIGHT’s obscenely intense aural display of lust, filth and sleaze ripped the Los Angeles faithful a new one at two sold-out shows on May 28th-29th, 2026. As part of MIDNIGHT’s Satanic Royalty 15th Anniversary World Tour, the incendiary gigs at Hollywood venue Knucklehead were recorded in all their sweaty, filthy glory, resulting in Satanic Attack Live!.

“No ‘unleashed in the studio’ or ‘unalive!’ here,” founding bassist/vocalist Athenar proclaims. “All the popcorn tempos, forgotten lyrics, and shit notes are there for your taste buds to savor. I would love to hear what kind of live album Steely Dan would record while wearing masks, leather, spikes, bullets, and chains in a 1000 degree smokey club full of rabid maniacs throwing beer on your wah-wah pedal, knocking microphones into your teeth, clawing at your crotch, headbanging into your headstock, and generally doing what they should be doing at a MIDNIGHT concert! I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Recorded by Mark Borders with mixing/mastering done by Zach Rippy, Satanic Attack Live! captures ten tracks off 2011’s landmark Satanic Royalty LP – live and in the original album running order – plus five additional songs, including “Shock Til Blood,” “T.A.P.,” and “Fucking Speed And Darkness.”

Satanic Attack Live! will be released on CD and digital formats as well as vinyl with included poster in the following color variants:

Blue White Black A Side B Side (US)
180g Black (EU)
Blood Splatter (EU – Ltd. 350)

A Satanic Attack Live! LP + 7” special edition vinyl (incl. poster) will also be available (EU + Band Exclusive – Ltd. 500).

Spain’s SANCTUARIUM to Release Impetuous Behest for Detestable Expulsion – New Song Now Streaming

Posted in Death Metal, death metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 16, 2026 by Metal Odyssey

Catalonian Death Metal brutes SANCTUARIUM will soon unleash their newest work, Impetuous Behest For Detestable Expulsion.

The band’s third album boasts nearly 35 minutes of cavernous, doom-laden death metal. Listen to the preview track, “Pendulous Lacerations,’ now at this location.

Impetuous Behest for Detestable Expulsion will come via a collaboration between Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo Records. The album is due out on December 4.

Pre-orders available at:

darkdescentrecords.com/shop

darkdescentrecords.bandcamp.com

ddmsuo.eu (EU orders)

Track listing:

1) Intro

2) Pendulous Lacerations

3) Derisive Penitance for Scornful Contempt

4. Revealed Denigration

5) Impetuous Behest For Detestable Expulsion

6) Outro

From the ominous introduction you will be spellbound by the disquieting morbidity of this record. As crawling riffs and drums serpentine through cryptic layers of putrescent dread, there is an immediately recognizable atmosphere that the band have been developing across their half a decade of prolific activity.

Snarling doomy guitars and eldritch vocals entwine around these hammering percussive assaults in a revoltingly unique way. Each bar of otherworldly atmospherics drags you further into the abyss with reverberate horror. There is something to be said about that sort of doomy death metal that holds you in a state of catatonia and SANCTUARIUM definitely have that ability.

Low end bellowing will split the earth while each lacerating riff or contorted vocal will call forth something grotesque. Each song showcases scornful aggression but with dynamic funereal atmospherics that ensure you always have something rotten to sink your teeth into.

Coming together like the scattered remnants of a cadaver, these six pieces contain four malignant death metal songs along with a gloriously demented intro and outro to tie it all together. Clearly the Spanish brutes have thought of everything to ensure you cannot escape this bludgeoning and depraved opus.

As each repugnant shift occurs, sneaking through catacombs of horror, they manage to inflict new wounds without ever losing that sense of urgency and brutality. SANCTUARIUM have their most developed, destructive and savage release to date, here for your auditory torture.

If festering doomed death metal cruelty is what you seek then Impetuous Behest For Detestable Expulsion will definitely not disappoint. A decidedly crushing record that will consume you with its carnivorous hunger and leave only a charred vessel in its wake…
