Slave Zero are back with new EP Disambiguated Visionary. What can we expect from the fifth offering from the Dublin four-piece and follow-up to 2009’s ‘Exempt from all Tolerance’? “Heavy, Unrelenting and Unpredictable”, says vocalist Graeme V. Flynn. Focusing on more progressive and death metal elements than its predecessors, ‘Disambiguated Visionary’ is intended to “provoke thought and question the confines of what we see and perceive as humans alluding to our insignificance as qualified through scientific theories.”
The album which was recorded by the band’s own Ben Wanders at Nebula Studios, Galway features artwork by Paul McCarroll of Unhinged Art. Representing a futuristic humanoid, Graeme furthers, “who’s to say what the world will look like in 1,000 years or 5,000 years? If humankind ever manages to colonise parts of our solar system or beyond, the body will need to adapt to living in those conditions. The figure on the cover could potentially resemble a humanoid from that era. Humankind in our current form is not the peak of our evolutionary climb”.
Supported by a number of launch shows in Ireland the EP ‘Disambiguated Visionary’ will be released this November 10th on Double Standard Productions.

Los Angeles Death Metallers, ANNIHILATED, are set to enter Trench Studios in Corona, California later this month to record the beast of brutality that will be 13 Steps To Ruination. Set for release via their new label home of Unique Leader Records, 13 Steps To Ruination will be produced by drummer Scott Fuller (Abysmal Dawn). Drums will be recorded by producer/engineer John Haddad (Abysmal Dawn, Exhumed, Intronaut).
Comments the band: “We think this is our heaviest, and catchiest stuff we’ve written with a very real and intense message. We think people will really dig it.”
ANNIHILATED seek to spread the truth about corporate and legislative corruption. Forged in 2008 by guitarists Eric Matranga and Robert Fimbres following the demise of their former band Excretion, ANNIHILATED crafts maniacal Death Metal hymns focused on promoting rational thought and to question what’s being force-fed to the masses via mass media.
In 2012, drummer Scott Fuller (Abysmal Dawn) joined the group with the same values and ideologies. Helping to further their musical purpose, he added a new dimension of percussive flavor and syncopation to the music. Shortly thereafter, the band recruited ex-Decapitated bassist Martin Rygiel to lay down bass tracks for their EP, Injected. Rygiel’s roaring bass assaults and vast musical knowledge supplemented their already refined brand of relentless aggression.
The self-released InjectedEP was recorded and produced at Trench Studios by Fuller, features guest vocals by Charles Elliott (Abysmal Dawn, Bereft), a special guitar solo by Fancesco Artusato (All Shall Perish, Fancesco Artusato Project) and serves as a taste of the sickness to come with six face-liquefying tracks of extreme, uncompromising Death Metal.
13 Steps To Ruination will be unleashed via Unique Leader Records next year. Further details to be announced in the months to come.

Belgian Death Metal horde DEHUMAN are hitting the road with the legendary MASTER for the third time. First was their late 2012 “Bleeding Europe Tour”, then both embarked on a weekend tour of the UK in early 2013 and now they’re invading The Balkans together.
From December 12 – 21, DEHUMAN will bring the “Desecrated Deathkult Tour” to seven different countries – Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey – in support of their debut full-length, Black Throne of all Creation, released last year by Kaotoxin Records. Croatian death hoard HANGED will provide support for select dates.
In other DEHUMAN news, the band is currently working hard on the follow-up to Black Throne of all Creation. REPTILIAN DEATH has long existed in the shadows of the Indian Metal scene as the side project of Demonic Resurrection frontman, Demonstealer. The band spent their first 12 years making sporadic live appearances and changing line-ups fairly often. During that time, REPTILIAN DEATH had an almost humorous disposition, writing little spoof metal epics like ‘5 Easy Ways To Murder Someone’ and ‘Nursery Rhymes For Satan’s Children’ while balancing a handful of serious tracks which eventually found themselves on their 2004 debut, Total Annihilation. In 2006, the band’s direction took a turn for the serious with the release of their EP Intestinal Feaston the Defaced And Split album, which also featured Exhumation, Warface and Narsil.
Shortly after the release, the band returned to the shadows until resurfacing in early 2013. The band exploded on the scene completely metamorphosed into brand new beast. Fronted by Vinay Venkatesh (Bhaynak Maut), dressed in priestly robes with his face painted half black and half white and backed by a band of masked members, REPTILIAN DEATH has moved out of the shadows and into the forefront of the global Metal community. The world will now see The Dawn Of Consummation And Emergence.

Formed in 2004, WARMASTER arose from the underground empowered by one demo and gained a rabid following. By 2006 the band extended to a full line up to play lots of gigs and festivals. WARMASTER debut album, First War was released on Dutch Metal Records in 2008. Many European live shows, followed and touring with bands like Grave, Jungle Rot, Sadistic Intent, Fleshcrawl, Zombie Inc. increased WARMASTER’s ever-growing reputation.

GOREGAST – Covered In Skin is a 2 song 7″ EP from Death Metal behemoths: GOREGAST. Releasing this week via FDA Rekotz, this EP from GOREGAST is worth it’s weight in torn-apart alien flesh that’s covered in gold. I’m not one to steer any Metal fanatic wrong; especially my Death Metal brethren. With a forthcoming album (GOREGAST’s fourth overall) due out in the Spring of 2014, Covered In Skin will keep fans of GOREGAST chomping at the bit all the more.
Both songs (Covered In Skin & Mindcreeper) are a reminder to me of how underground Death Metal is and always will be a dominant force; an extreme Metal force that cannot be restrained nor denied of its existence. With crunchy riffage, hellish vocals, insane drumming and eye-popping grooves, GOREGAST still manages to make both songs melodic. Death Metal nectar from the dark side is this EP.
This is a band and EP ALL Death Metal fans worldwide and in other unknown spatial dimensions MUST know about and buy into. For those already loyal to GOREGAST, there really is no need for my bloody persuasion. Metal be thy name.

Tampa Death Metal icons OBITUARY will bring their brutal wares to the stage this Fall on a short series of live assaults. The tour begins with a pair of back-to-back shows at Brooklyn, New York’s Saint Vitus Bar on October 9 and 10, before flattening nine more venues through October 20. Having been holed-up in their own Redneck Studios the last few weeks penning the follow-up to 2009’s punishing Darkest Day full-length (2009), the shows serve as a temporary writing break.
Elaborates drummer Donald Tardy: “We have been busting our asses in the studio, having a blast and writing new material. Twelve songs are done and ready to be recorded but we want a monster album for our fans so we are working on a few more to make this record huge! We will continue writing until October when we will take a break from the studio and new music and go destroy the Trois-Rivieres Metalfest with Hatebreed and crush the US.”

Swedish Death Metal brutes OVERTORTURE will invade Germany next week for a series of shows dubbed the “At the End the Dead Await Tour 2013.” The action kicks off on September 7th in Mannheim with FLESHCRAWL, REVELIN FLESH and RAW.

Self-produced by the band and mixed/mastered by Ola Englund (SIX FEET UNDER), the album is made complete with the artwork of Gustav Germann (Guger Art) who has also worked with HAIL OF BULLETS and VOMITORY. OVERTORTURE – BAND BIO:
Overtorture formed in 2011 by Magnus Martinsson, Joel Fornbrant, Fredrik Widigs and Jonas Torndal, known from bands like Grave, Coldworker, Demonical and Witchery with the mission to deliver diverse Death Metal with both melody and brutality! Songs quickly came together and demos of some neck-breaking songs were put into final form in late 2011.
In March 2012 the band tapped Andreas Hemmander who’s an old friend and former band mate (Bloodride) of Magnus as second guitarist, and the line-up was finally complete. Shortly after the band signed a world-wide deal with Apostasy Records and started recording the debut album At the Endthe Dead Await.

KATAKLYSM guitaristJean-Francois Dagenais helmed the production of this upcoming masterpiece of brutality and melody once more, while legend Zeuss (SUFFOCATION, HATEBREED and many more) took care of the mixing. The artwork by Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED) will be featured on the deluxe digipak and LP versions of their new album and the cover by Peter Sallai, who is known for his artworks done for SABATON, will be featured on the standard jewel case and limited edition cassette tape versions.
