Band Bio

Cold as ice, angry as a horde of Viking warriors and determined like an army fighting for freedom of their homeland: THUNDERWAR! The band was born in 2013, when four young Metal maniacs decided to join their forces to not only pay tribute to such Metal heroes as BATHORY, UNLEASHED, DISSECTION and AMON AMARTH, but to prove that Poland has again something to say to the metal world.

The debut EP “THE BIRTH OF THUNDER” was mixed and produced by Wieslawscy Bros from HERTZ STUDIO (BEHEMOTH, VADER, DECAPITATED). The band’s logo was designed by Christophe Szpajdel (EMPEROR, MOONSPELL, DESASTER) and the cover artwork of “The Birth of Thunder” EP was done by Mario Lopez.

Currently the band is promoting their self-released EP and in the middle of 2014 will enter the HERTZ STUDIO to work on their first full album. THUNDERWAR – Better remember this name, as they are here to stay!

Sacramento Death Metal behemoths, THE KENNEDY VEIL, today spew forth the teachings of their “Necrotic Gospel.” Hosted by the crypt keepers at Stereokiller, the latest tune comes courtesy of the band’s soon-to-be-released Trinity Of Falsehood full-length.

Produced by Nick Botelho at NB Recording in Santa Rosa, California and featuring the debut of new throat Taylor Wientjes, Trinity Of Falsehood is an unapologetically methodical, fast-paced display of sharp, groin-churning DM brutality. In a 9/10 review of the offering, Dead Rhetoric champions the band’s, “no-frills, modern death metal… heavily rooted in the speed and technicality of Origin and the fury of Decapitated,” further boasting, “THE KENNEDY VEIL has thrown down the death metal gauntlet for years to come.

Corpsessed was spawned from putrescent slime in 2007. Vocalist Niko Matilainen, guitarist Matti Mäkelä and drummer Jussi-Pekka Manner were joined by guitarist Jyri Lustig and (de)composing of morbid Death Metal tunes began at the rotting houses of Järvenpää delta-area. The group’s original bass player, Mikko Mäkelä, disappeared in unknown circumstances and was replaced later in 2009 by Mikko Pöllä.

Corpsessed’s first EP The Dagger & The Chalice was released on CD by Dark Descent Records (USA) in May 2011. The vinyl version released by Me Saco Un Ojo (UK) in co-operation with Dark Descent (USA) in October 2011. That release was followed up by a two-track, self-titled 7-inch EP in 2012. The band recently completed work on their debut full-length album, Abysmal Thresholds.

Death Metal war machine TrenchRot are unleashing their debut Necronomic Warfare upon the world and none will be spared. With influences ranging from other war-themed bands like Asphyx and Bolt Thrower, to the vomitous vocals and epic, soaring lead work of Obituary’s Cause of Death, this is an old school Death Metal album that doesn’t feel self-conscious about being what it is. Comatose Music has announced the February 4 release of Violence and the Macabre from Philippine Brutal Death Metallers DOWN FROM THE WOUND. After signing with Comatose in October 2012, DOWN FROM THE WOUND went to work on the follow-up to their 2007 debut, Agony Through Rituals of Self Purification. The results see the band return with 50 minutes of flesh-shredding Southeast-Asian brutality with old-school atmosphere and organic production.

THE KENNEDY VEIL – Sacramento Death Metal Legion To Release “Trinity Of Falsehood” This January

In 2009, the world bore witness to a whole new brand of brutality. Ascending from the depths of the Northern California Valley, THE KENNEDY VEIL unleashed upon the scene their own fanatical perspective of American Death Metal.

A quartet composed of Casey Childers (ex-Forktung), Gabe Seeber (Alterbeast, Decrepit Birth, ex-Wretched Dawn), Cody Walker (ex-Skribble) and Shawn Peterson, THE KENNEDY VEIL recorded their first album, The Sentence Of Their Conqueror, with engineer Josh Williams at Metal Works Studios and released a compilation of eight visceral tracks which quickly grabbed the attention of the Metal underground. With the release of this album, the band played shows relentlessly with legendary acts such as Cephalic Carnage, Exhumed, Cattle Decapitation, Macabre, Decrepit Birth, Origin, Divine Heresy and Abysmal Dawn.

In 2012, THE KENNEDY VEIL went to work on writing the follow-up to The Sentence Of Their Conqueror and prepared an onslaught of hostile yet dynamic tracks that would come together in the form of Trinity Of Falsehood – a doctrine that will enslave the ears of the lawless and govern the damned into a frenzy of panic. It is an eleven-track offering with an aggressive and unrelenting attitude. The album brings back a familiarity of big choruses and bludgeoning drums, but places its focus on structure.

WARFATHER – Death Metal Horde Fronted By Ex-Morbid Angel Frontman Steve Tucker, Confirms Debut Full-Length Details

After months of secrecy spent in the crypts finalizing the details on their debut recordings, today Death Metal horde, WARFATHER, finally declares their battle plans.

The new full-time project fronted by ex-Morbid Angel bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker, WARFATHER was initially announced in mid-2012, but has remained otherwise virtually a mystery until now. As the finishing touches are currently being handled on their debut album, now confirmed to bear the title, Orchestrating The Apocalypse, this band sees Tucker back to fronting a Death Metal outfit after over a decade since his departure from Morbid Angel and over two years since his participation as a vocalist and writer in the well-received Nader Sadek project.

On the impending attack, Tucker states, “I am stoked about WARFATHER and our first album! WARFATHER is more than just a metal band; it is a belief system and a meeting of the minds, the ones that can see what is truly happening in the times we are living in. Orchestrating The Apocalypse is a warning to the eyes that choose to be blind, and a call to arms to the minds that do feel the coming changes. It is pure blackened, apocalyptic Death Metal. Fuck religion, fuck the government! This is their apocalypse. Our time is NOW!”

Orchestrating The Apocalypse brutalizes in a relentless style that builds on the work laid on the three Tucker-fronted Morbid Angel albums – Formulas Fatal To The Flesh, Gateways To Annihilation and Heretic – resounding with over forty minutes of pure American Death Metal. WARFATHER delivers an intense, debilitating performance that should no doubt please fans of Morbid Angel, Nile, and Behemoth, while also sporadically infusing unique, even bizarre atmospheric elements, elevating the album to a cutting-edge status.

The album was recorded and mixed at Cincinnati-based TME studios by Steve Tucker and mastered by Maor Applebaum at Maor Applebaum Mastering and is now confirmed for release via Greyhaze Records on January 21, 2014 in North America, with a European release date to be announced in the coming weeks.

SLAVE ZERO ANNOUNCE “DISAMBIGUATED VISIONARY” EP

Slave Zero are back with new EP Disambiguated Visionary. What can we expect from the fifth offering from the Dublin four-piece and follow-up to 2009’s ‘Exempt from all Tolerance’? “Heavy, Unrelenting and Unpredictable”, says vocalist Graeme V. Flynn. Focusing on more progressive and death metal elements than its predecessors, ‘Disambiguated Visionary’ is intended to “provoke thought and question the confines of what we see and perceive as humans alluding to our insignificance as qualified through scientific theories.”

The album which was recorded by the band’s own Ben Wanders at Nebula Studios, Galway features artwork by Paul McCarroll of Unhinged Art. Representing a futuristic humanoid, Graeme furthers, “who’s to say what the world will look like in 1,000 years or 5,000 years? If humankind ever manages to colonise parts of our solar system or beyond, the body will need to adapt to living in those conditions. The figure on the cover could potentially resemble a humanoid from that era. Humankind in our current form is not the peak of our evolutionary climb”.

Supported by a number of launch shows in Ireland the EP ‘Disambiguated Visionary’ will be released this November 10th on Double Standard Productions.

ANNIHILATED – Los Angeles Death Metal Squadron Enter Studio

Los Angeles Death Metallers, ANNIHILATED, are set to enter Trench Studios in Corona, California later this month to record the beast of brutality that will be 13 Steps To Ruination. Set for release via their new label home of Unique Leader Records, 13 Steps To Ruination will be produced by drummer Scott Fuller (Abysmal Dawn). Drums will be recorded by producer/engineer John Haddad (Abysmal Dawn, Exhumed, Intronaut).

Comments the band: “We think this is our heaviest, and catchiest stuff we’ve written with a very real and intense message. We think people will really dig it.”

ANNIHILATED seek to spread the truth about corporate and legislative corruption. Forged in 2008 by guitarists Eric Matranga and Robert Fimbres following the demise of their former band Excretion, ANNIHILATED crafts maniacal Death Metal hymns focused on promoting rational thought and to question what’s being force-fed to the masses via mass media.

In 2012, drummer Scott Fuller (Abysmal Dawn) joined the group with the same values and ideologies. Helping to further their musical purpose, he added a new dimension of percussive flavor and syncopation to the music. Shortly thereafter, the band recruited ex-Decapitated bassist Martin Rygiel to lay down bass tracks for their EP, Injected. Rygiel’s roaring bass assaults and vast musical knowledge supplemented their already refined brand of relentless aggression.

The self-released Injected EP was recorded and produced at Trench Studios by Fuller, features guest vocals by Charles Elliott (Abysmal Dawn, Bereft), a special guitar solo by Fancesco Artusato (All Shall Perish, Fancesco Artusato Project) and serves as a taste of the sickness to come with six face-liquefying tracks of extreme, uncompromising Death Metal.

13 Steps To Ruination will be unleashed via Unique Leader Records next year. Further details to be announced in the months to come.

Belgian Death Metal horde DEHUMAN are hitting the road with the legendary MASTER for the third time. First was their late 2012 “Bleeding Europe Tour”, then both embarked on a weekend tour of the UK in early 2013 and now they’re invading The Balkans together.

From December 12 – 21, DEHUMAN will bring the “Desecrated Deathkult Tour” to seven different countries – Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey – in support of their debut full-length, Black Throne of all Creation, released last year by Kaotoxin Records. Croatian death hoard HANGED will provide support for select dates.

In other DEHUMAN news, the band is currently working hard on the follow-up to Black Throne of all Creation. The as-of-yet-untitled album is being recorded at Blackout Studios (Enthroned, Emptiness) and will be mixed and mastered by Francis Caste at Sainte Marthe Studios (Arkhon Infaustus, Department Of Correction).
