Finnish melodic black/death metal band ALieNation is set to release their debut album Sociopathology on July 1st 2022 via InverseRecords. The first single Scum is released today.
Guitarist Jussi Tuomisto comments: “Scum represents a more straightforward in-your-face department of the “Sociopathology” album. The song is a hybrid in styles, it clearly has elements of melodic death metal with a sense of black metal. I think it represents well the energy that we are known for. Nothing extra, no painting of pretty pictures or dreamy atmospheres. Scum is a brutally honest, stripped to the core extreme metal song.”
Vocalist Miikka Pyykkönen continues: “Lyrically Scum takes a stand on how politicians of today are more concerned about their public image rather than how their policies impact the very society they are supposed to represent.”
Finnish 1996 founded melancholic metal band DENIGRATE has released their third full length album. Album titled “Blackguard” is doom metal flavored and maybe the darkest album so far by the band.
Since Denigrate was founded, the inevitable vibe of the band was to be dark, melancholy, tormented, observative.
The quantity of albums released is really not the thing in this band. From the first released album in 2003 to the latest 3rd one in 2022 called “Blackguard”, decades has changed and so has the band.
After no more than two albums released, after big-time local momentum with a finnish cover song, after mandatory hiatus, after some line-up changes, Denigrate 2022 is at it’s hardest core.

Finnish stoner metal band Zombie Rodeo is back after six years. The band released a new single MindInfestation which is taken from the upcoming EP TheEyesAreSetUponYou. EP is released on April 29th 2022 via Inverse Records.
The band comments: “The song is a twisted tale, when one’s mind is consumed with thoughts, that should not normally be there. This time the vocals took a much harsher turn and also the music has a lot more pronounced mid 90’s metal vibe, on top of the fuzzy delivery of earlier releases. To support them we will have ABBATH, the band led by the charismatic ex-frontman of IMMORTAL, which will release the new album “Dread Reaver“ at the end of March. Before this double shot of black metal, we will welcome ASPHYX, absolute masters of doom-death metal, and TRIBULATION, another great band and winner of a Swedish Grammy that in recent years has been hailed as a new force in dark metal. Also please salute BØLZER, a Swiss duo with an absolutely personal take on the black-death metal sound.

Once again, the Live Music Club, our historic venue in the outskirts of Milan, will welcome you with an outdoor lounge area, several refreshment points, a beergarden, a metalmarket and a special area where free meet & greet sessions will be held with all the available bands. RIVERS OF NIHIL will be touring in support of their newest full-length, TheWork, released last Fall on Metal Blade Records. RIVERS OF NIHIL has never fit neatly into a box, but with 2018’s WhereOwlsKnowMyName, they transcended all labels applied to them. Returning in 2021 with TheWork, they’ve forged further into new territory, delivering an album that’s as cerebral as it is visceral, and that covers a staggering sonic range, definitively placing them in a category of their own.
Inarguably a dense, heavy collection, TheWork is far too dynamic to be considered a solely metal record and there is a genuine warmth that shows through, particularly tracks like “Wait” and the gorgeous “Maybe One Day.” Additionally, the band has incorporated far more clean vocals alongside the screaming that tears through many of the record’s heavier tracks. Courtesy of their friend Zach Strouse, saxophone once again adds extra layers of atmosphere to the collection, utilizing baritone, soprano, and alto saxes to great effect.
