Guitarist Mike Decker comments:

We would like to first thank everyone who have bought, listened, and become one with the broken on our first release “The Healing Powers of Hate.” Now for what comes next, we had to make some lineup changes but sometimes change is for the better”.

The addition of Steve Burns and Jeff Boisvert on vocals has given BornBroken a new dimension as we move forward. We are truly happy with choosing The Grid and producer Chris Donaldson for our next CD, as you will hear, we are pushing new boundaries with our sound and approach and Chris has the knowledge to help with that.

The future of BornBroken is far from over as we are in the middle of writing and recording 2.0. As we keep some things for now shrouded in shadows we are proud to give you a front row seat to ‘Watch The World Unwind’.

Hear the cry once more….

‘The Healing Powers of Hate’ is now streaming at the following link: http://soundcloud.com/bornbrokenmusic/sets/thehealingpowersofhate

BornBroken‘s debut album ‘The Healing Powers of Hate’ was released in June 2013. The album was fan voted as Album of The Week (June 10th) on Revolver Magazine, along with debuting #8 on Canadian College Loud Charts, plus being named one of the best unsigned Heavy Metal Bands for June 2013 by Drago’s Dungeon on About.com – Heavy Metal.

They have also received great admiration from Yell Magazine! quoting ‘This is a debut metal album of epic proportions. If it’s not the Canadian metal album of the year, it’s certainly in the running for Canadian debut metal album.’ and TheFrontRowReport.com quoting ‘BornBroken may be the best metal band you probably haven’t heard of. Those who love hard, heavy, angry metal are in for a treat and may find a new favorite in BornBroken.’.

About BornBroken:

BornBroken was formed with one simple mission in mind: Help the masses find a voice, a face, an “X” that marks the spot through the sounds of beating skins, metal strings and broken chords.

After months of writing and hours spent in the studio, BornBroken managed to take every emotion they felt, put it to music, build off of past battle scars and create a record where listeners will feel they are part of the storyline.

On their debut album, The Healing Powers of HateBornBroken play out not only what life has given them but also what they want to give back: truth, integrity, perseverance, loyalty and faith in humanity’s struggle for equality.

7 DAYS DEAD – BEYOND WITHIN

STONE’S METAL PICK OF THE DAY!

Stone Says: 7 Days Dead are a Metal band worth every second of checking out! This band delivers groove laced Metal that will appeal to both Hard Rock and Metal fans alike. Beyond Within showcases guitar driven songs with an overall modern and melodic sound that crunches! Eye popping riffs abound! Lead vocalist Ryan McManus does have a striking resemblance to James Hetfield (vocally) and I’m digging it.

Just a terrific new band that I look forward to hearing a whole lot more of in the Metal future! 7 Days Dead have nailed it with their debut EP Beyond Within. Metal be thy name.

ALL HAIL THE YETI – Confirm: Reconcile For Revenge November Tour

Posted in groove metal, Heavy Metal, heavy metal albums, Metal, metal music, Music, rock concerts, rock music, rock music news, stoner metal with tags , , , , , on October 13, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

Los Angeles-based Stoner/Groove Metallers ALL HAIL THE YETI have confirmed their first official tour in support of their self-titled debut full-length, released at the end of August worldwide via AFM Records. Dubbed the Reconcile For Revenge TourALL HAIL THE YETI will tear up and down the West Coast for twelve shows, performing with prominent acts including Unida (John Garcia from Kyuss), System Divide and many more along the way.

Preceding the tour actions, AHTY will perform as part of a six-act bill tonight in Tempe, Arizona at a show sponsored by the metallians at 98 KUPD’s Into The Pit.

ALL HAIL THE YETI‘s self-titled debut album boasts the act’s most crushing, groove-laden, Southern-tinged stoner metal with over a solid hour of thunderous riffage. Featuring well-known tattoo artist Connor Garritty of Timeless Tattoos in Los Angeles, ALL HAIL THE YETI have forged their own path through what they see as a desolate Hollywood music scene, recorded with producers Tommy Decker and Mike Sarkisyan.

Immediately following the album’s release, ALL HAIL THE YETI unleashed their amazing Wild West style video for the track “The Art Of Mourning,” chock full of brutal gunfights and gory head-shots utilizing actual .45 revolvers, a full-on lynching and all kinds of high-action entertainment!

Check out “The Art Of Mourning” video and more AHTY action RIGHT HERE.

Here is Part Two of Metal Odyssey Presents: Ten Metal Albums You NEED For This Summer Of 2012! Each Metal album below I’ve reviewed; just click the large link below each respective Metal album to read all about it! Each Metal album on this list I’ve obviously enjoyed and continue to listen to. My Metal goal is to pass this valuable Metal information onto my fellow Metal brethren.

As the halfway point of 2012 nears, these are ten recently released Metal albums that have left their scorching mark upon my Metal lovin’ eardrums.
