NORTH AMERICAN INTO OBLIVION TOUR KICKS OFF ON MARCH 17
Jan. 15, 2026 – RICHMOND, Va. – Lamb of God have set a March 13 release date for their new album, Into Oblivion (Epic Records), marking the band’s first full-length release in four years.
Into Oblivion finds Lamb of God embracing their position as modern metal veterans, beholden to no one, with nothing left to prove. The 10-song collection references the band’s roots, doubles down on their signature groove, and expands their approach, resulting in an album that feels both deliberate and untethered.
News of Into Oblivion’s March arrival is accompanied by the debut of its title track, “Into Oblivion,” alongside a video (https://lamb-of-god.lnk.to/IntoOblivionOfficial) directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts. Aggressive and as unforgiving as ever, the song pairs the band’s musical ferocity with psychologically charged lyrics.
“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” guitarist Mark Morton shares. “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
Vocalist Randy Blythe doesn’t mince words on why the band decided to name the album Into Oblivion, saying candidly: “Because that’s where we’re heading. In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”
In the months leading up to today’s announcement, the metal veterans released a pair of blistering singles that offered listeners a taste of the album’s range. “Sepsis,” the band’s first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early ‘90s Richmond underground that shaped Lamb of God’s formative years. Consequence, in their Heavy Song of the Week feature, noted the track’s fresh approach, saying “Morton’s riffs are bruising at this slower pace,” and adding that Blythe bellows “like a heavy metal Nick Cave.” “Parasocial Christ” followed, evoking classic Lamb of God with a three-minute onslaught that Revolver dubbed an “anti-tech thrasher.”
Produced and mixed by longtime studio collaborator Josh Wilbur, Into Oblivion was recorded across multiple locations tied closely to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Va., with guitars and bass recorded at Morton’s home studio. Blythe recorded his vocals at the legendary Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, Calif., the birthplace of seminal punk records by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.
Album pre-orders, including multiple limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies, are available now (https://shop.lamb-of-god.com/collections/into-oblivion). An unannounced first pressing of the album was quietly posted on the band’s website earlier this week, and sold out immediately.
Lamb of God previously announced a Spring North American tour in what promises to be the heaviest trek of 2026. Joined by Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg, the tour kicks off on March 17. Tickets and VIP packages are on-sale now via Lamb-of-god.com/tour.

Texas Groove Metal Veterans Announce 7-Date Tour with Special Guests Single Bullet Theory and select dates with Byzantine
El Paso’s legendary groove metal pioneers PISSING RAZORS are set to make their long-awaited return to the East Coast for the first time in over two decades. The upcoming seven-date run marks their first appearance in the region since 2004, when the band was touring in support of their Spitfire Records release, Evolution.
Now, in 2025, the band returns to the East in support of their acclaimed 2021 album Eulogy Death March, a tour that’s not only highly anticipated by fans but also historic in nature. This lineup is the closest to the original Pissing Razors roster the band has had in years and features:
Joe Rodriguez – Vocals Eddy Garcia – Drums Mat Lynch – Guitar Geo Gomez – Bass
The East Coast leg will feature direct support from Single Bullet Theory, the long-running East Coast metal force fronted by Matt DiFabio. DiFabio has strong ties to Pissing Razors himself, having played guitar on the 2003 tour supporting Evolution. Now, over 20 years later, the two camps reunite on the same stages once again.
Joe Rodriguez shared his thoughts on the tour’s significance:
“The return to the East Coast after over two decades would mark a significant milestone, not just as a tour to the area with our friends in Single Bullet Theory but a reconnection with the fans in regions we haven’t formally visited in a long time. It symbolizes the longevity of the band and our dedication to the groove metal scene, keeping the genre alive in new and legacy markets.
For long-time fans on the East Coast, it would be a nostalgic and emotional event, potentially the first chance to see the band live in nearly a generation. For the band, it’s an opportunity to re-establish our presence, maybe test new songs (like tracks from our 2021 album Eulogy Death March), and grow our audience geography beyond our Texas-heavy touring footprint.”
Eddy Garcia added:
“It’s with great pleasure that we get to hit the East Coast for a few dates! We haven’t been that way since 2003! Many thanks to Matt and Single Bullet Theory! We look forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones! East Coast fans have always treated us well, and we look forward to playing all of these shows! Cheers!“
Formed in the mid-’90s, Pissing Razors gained a reputation for relentless touring and uncompromising live shows. From the late ’90s through the early 2000s, the band seemed to live on the road, clocking in tours alongside Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, W.A.S.P., and select U.S. and European dates with Anthrax and NYHC legends Pro-Pain. Their impact helped shape the sound of American groove metal, influencing a new generation of heavyweights including Lamb of God and Gojira.
The upcoming East Coast tour promises to be a celebration of Pissing Razors’ legacy, a testament to their longevity, and a heavy reminder of their ongoing power and relevance in today’s metal scene.
PIssing Razors / Single Bullet Theory/ Byzantine:

The theme of the album revolves around the title, as it explores the mindset of a person who has been pushed to the edge mentally, with no way out. The lyrics, as usual, touch on the darker side of life, but also address the current state of the world. The compositions on the album are somewhat darker than those on the previous release, Shattered. There is also a song on the album, titled “The Creator,” which is a bit different from the band’s usual style. Falling From Grace‘s characteristic energy and aggression are also present on this release.
At The Edge combines various genres of metal, with a focus on groove metal and melodic death metal. The songwriting is once again handled by the band’s guitarist Timi Tonteri.
Nils Courbaron (Sirenia, Bloodorn, T.A.N.K.) is featured on the album’s last track “The Creator.”
“With At The Edge, we’ve taken a step forward from the last album and incorporated elements we haven’t used before. The timing of the album release is perfect, with Tuska Festival just around the corner, where we will also perform.”

I went to see PRONG and VOIVOD back on February 28th, at the King of Clubs in Columbus, Ohio. What a night! I was (and still am) elated to have experienced PRONG on this tour! PRONG took the stage first and ripped out a scorching set of their songs, culminating with their intense and heavy hitting cover of “Working Man” by RUSH.
PRONG is continuing to tour in support of their newest and 13th studio albumfrom 2023:State Of Emergency. Tommy Victor and his band kickstarted my Metal adrenaline that lasted straight through VOIVOD and into the next day! Tommy’s vocals sounded stronger than ever; while always a master on his guitar. PRONG flat-out kicked Metal ass that night; I couldn’t have expected any less! Metal be thy name. – Stone

New Single From BornBroken – Watch The World Unwind
“We would like to first thank everyone who have bought, listened, and become one with the broken on our first release “The Healing Powers of Hate.” Now for what comes next, we had to make some lineup changes but sometimes change is for the better”.
The addition of Steve Burns and Jeff Boisvert on vocals has given BornBroken a new dimension as we move forward. We are truly happy with choosing The Grid and producer Chris Donaldson for our next CD, as you will hear, we are pushing new boundaries with our sound and approach and Chris has the knowledge to help with that.
The future of BornBroken is far from over as we are in the middle of writing and recording 2.0. As we keep some things for now shrouded in shadows we are proud to give you a front row seat to ‘Watch The World Unwind’.
They have also received great admiration from Yell Magazine! quoting ‘This is a debut metal album of epic proportions. If it’s not the Canadian metal album of the year, it’s certainly in the running for Canadian debut metal album.’ and TheFrontRowReport.com quoting ‘BornBroken may be the best metal band you probably haven’t heard of. Those who love hard, heavy, angry metal are in for a treat and may find a new favorite in BornBroken.’.
About BornBroken:
BornBroken was formed with one simple mission in mind: Help the masses find a voice, a face, an “X” that marks the spot through the sounds of beating skins, metal strings and broken chords.
After months of writing and hours spent in the studio, BornBroken managed to take every emotion they felt, put it to music, build off of past battle scars and create a record where listeners will feel they are part of the storyline.
On their debut album, The Healing Powers of Hate, BornBroken play out not only what life has given them but also what they want to give back: truth, integrity, perseverance, loyalty and faith in humanity’s struggle for equality.

SOULFLY – The eighth studio album from Soulfly, Enslaved, was released on March 13, 2012, via Roadrunner Records. It’s a killer. With a “slave theme” throughout, just another dark side of mankind is brought to the Metal forefront by Max Cavalera and his band. If anyone out there needs to hear a legendary voice and musician of Metal… Max Cavalera is just that on Enslaved.
I was counting the days for this Soulfly release. I knew this album was going to resonate Metal in its heaviest form, with appreciative quality from world-class Metal musicians. As I listen to the vocals of Max Cavalera, the lyrics and brutal themes to the songs on Enslaved are magnified with an unparalleled realism. Whoa. Max has Soulfly at the top of the heaviest tier of Metal bands with this Enslaved release. There’s no doubt in my Metal mind about this.
One of my favorite tracks on Enslaved is Plata O Plomo. I cannot get enough of Soulfly’s Groove Metal and extreme rhythm stomp, courtesy of Tony Campos (bass) and David Kinkade (drums). Tony Campos also lends vocals on Plato O Plomo. The inclusion of a Flamenco guitar, during and at the conclusion of this song, gives it such a diverse touch that it’s insanely grand.
___________________________________
Soulfly solidifies their ever impressive Thrash capabilities with American Steeland it F’n scorches and shreds! Whoa. American Steel has left its Thrash mark on my Metal soul. The tempo of the second half of this song may slow down some, still, the intensity of the vibes that American Steel gives off are there to behold. Once again, Soulfly shows off their astutediversity for the song with Max playing the sitar as the coda.
I cannot express any louder or clearer, just how proficient of a guitarist Marc Rizzo is. Marc is a thrill to listen to and he belongs mentioned in the “best of class” when it comes to Metal guitarists… or any Rock guitarist for that matter. The tones of Marc’s guitar are surely showcased throughout Enslaved. On Treachery, Marc just let’s it all loose, proving his dynamical presence is indeed an asset to Soulfly.
Across the board on Enslaved, the Metal is not just great… the Metal is exceptional. As I’ve stated in the past, I listen to a great deal of Metal and I don’t bullshit around. Soulfly has raised their own bar of Metal excellence with Enslaved. This is an album that holds a very strong chance at being #1 on my best of list at year’s end. Metal be thy name.

AVATAR – The debut full-length album, Black Waltz, from Sweden’s AVATAR was released back on February 14th, 2012, via eOne Music… and it’s hereby highly recommended by yours truly, for your Metal famished senses. Extreme vocals are prevalent from Johannes Eckerström and he essentially nails it from top to bottom. Johannes isn’t belting out Death or Black Metal tones, instead it’s all super-fine Extreme. Dark. Damn good. When Johannes does come clean with his vocals, it’s… damn good again.
The Metal itself has more grooves discharging than I could possibly count. There’s also a melodic sensibility happening big time with the Metal of AVATAR and it all comes across to me as a thrilling listening experience. Metal be thy name is this AVATAR band an unforeseen Metal prize for me in 2012. AVATAR plays some straightforward Metal, only it’s the inventiveness of the parts and the dazzling delivery of the Extreme, which all equals to the impressive Metal sum on Black Waltz. Whoa.
AVATAR implements elements into their Metal that keeps their songs interesting, (as an example) the creepy chorus as an outro for Torn Apart. Ready For The Ride is a fine Metal example of just how Extreme AVATAR can come across, this song when played at maximum level is one of the more enjoyable listening moments I’ve had with a song lately. Hell, playing Black Waltz in its entirety at maximum volume, is prescribed Metal medicine for any shitty day you or I shall encounter from here on in.
______________________________
To explain the Metal listening experience of Black Waltz, in one word, that word would be: INTENSE. Within these 11 songs on Black Waltz, I hear a band that obviously is adept in Metalcreativity and focused on quality. In Napalm and has progressive footings and still comes across with that dark feel and vibe that AVATAR wants us all to accept. Dark lyrically and musically throughout, AVATAR never has me thinking this is the “same old stuff” I’ve been listening to for years.
The title track, Use Your Tongueand Blodare three scalding exclamation points on this album. Furious. Like an Extreme, yet still, a groove driven Metal ambush from the fiery depths of hell itself. Jonas Jarlsby and Simon Andersson on guitars are damn cool to listen to. The riffs, leads and mini-solos are all unique and all importantly memorable. Let It Burn grooves along with such a convincing fire from AVATAR that it gets the “replay continuously” award for this album.
Yes, I dig AVATAR and appreciate the Metal direction that they are taking here on Black Waltz. To say that I’ve enjoyed Black Waltz as much as any Rob Zombie album ever made is real. That new Alice Cooper album from last year has nothing over on Black Waltz either. AVATAR is without question, a band not to ignore. Black Waltz is this band’s debut album that is absolutely can’t miss in 2012 and beyond. The Modern Metal doors of extremity have flung wide open… and AVATAR has arrived. Metal. Be. Thy. Name.
