UNISONIC – New Video From Heavy Metal Supergroup Now Playing At Metal Insider; Band To Release “Light Of Dawn” Full-Length Via Armoury Records Next Month

Exceptional, the new video from Heavy Metal supergroup, UNISONIC, is currently playing at Metal Insider. The song comes by way of the band’s forthcoming new full-length, Light Of Dawn, set for release in North America next month.

UNISONIC boasts a royal lineup of former Helloween vocalist Michael Kiske and guitarist Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray, also ex-Helloween) alongside guitarist Mandy Meyer (Asia, Gotthard, Krokus), bassist Dennis Ward and drummer Kosta Zafiriou (both of Germany’s Pink Cream 69).

Spring of 2014 saw UNISONIC produce the twelve new tunes that comprise sophomore offering, Light Of Dawn, all of them performed with surgical precision and punctuated by Kiske’s world-class vocals. “Our first world tour has really welded us together,” Kiske notes of the group’s unmistakable evolution. “The touring made us realize the importance of a congenial atmosphere for our creativity and how much I missed this team spirit over the past twenty years. Only musicians who feel really comfortable with each other can deliver their optimum performance.” Dennis Ward, a driving force within the unit, one of its main composers and as on 2012’s self-titled debut, its producer, agrees: “At the end of the day, you have to tour to get immediate fan reactions to your material. In this respect, the shows were very interesting and extremely encouraging. There’s no doubt that they gave UNISONIC enough energy to make working on Light Of Dawn child’s play for everybody involved.”

Light Of Dawn will see its Stateside release via Eagle Rock imprint Armoury Records on August 12th, 2014.

CONVICTS TAKE ON CONGRESS

On July 31, 2014, female-fronted, Heavy Metal band, Corprit Convict, is taking the message of their debut album, Come Clean, directly to the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. The message? Remove money from politics. The band will be performing songs from the album, such as “3 Ring”, “Applicator” and “Left for Dead”, serving, themselves, as protest anthems and calling for change in our country.

“Campaign financing has become the single, biggest problem plaguing our country’s political landscape today. But it’s also the least discussed problem, because the only people who can effect real change on theses policies, or lack thereof, are the same group cashing the checks. Money talks in Washington and, right now, it’s screaming,” says singer, KT. “Americans cannot continue to stand idly by as the richest members of our country continue to buy our elections and control our public officials.”

In the Spring of this year, the US Supreme Court passed a ruling that will allow individuals and corporations to give up to $6 million to candidates and parties in a 2 year election cycle; nearly 50 times the limit before the ruling.

Supporters for the band can join them on the steps of the Congress on July 31 (last day of summer session).

July 8, 2014 – Beak, the Chicago post-metal quartet who wowed critics with their 2012 debut EP, Eyrie, return with their first full-length, Let Time Begin, on Sept. 23 via Someoddpilot Records.

“Let Time Begin is the Big Bang, The Fall of Man, The Unnamable; it’s our interpretation of the origins of the Universe,” says Beak singer/guitar player Jon Slusher. The eight-song album moves from chaos to the birth of consciousness. “It is a concept record that evolves sonically from Eyrie with more concise composition and a new pallet of alternating violence, tranquility and melody. We ramped up the primal and pounding rhythm section, we’ve appropriated vocoding into the mix and we have pioneered new ways to tear out our throats.”

Damn great stuff. Jan Breede (drums & backing vocals) plays the song and adds an incredible dynamic to this entire album; he’s a Metal treat to listen to. Matthias “Mäfju” Kraft (bass & backing vocals) adds his musical thunder and combined with Jan Breede’s drumming it’s a headbanging Metal experience to behold!

Daniel Zimmermann also is the lead vocalist and he sings like a Metal giant! His vocals are stuff of conquer all and death to the Metal posers. I believe my Metal brethren reading this know what I mean and it’s Metal truth. Twelve delectable Heavy Metal songs are on the CD, with nine songs on the LP version. Hetoimasia is this album’s instrumental opener and it signals that the Metal power-surge is on! I just knew it was gonna be a great Metal ride upon my first listen and it only gets better with each Metal serving. Whoa.

Being their 5th studio album overall and first with Massacre Records, REAPER could not have found a better record label to call home. Celebrating their 30th anniversary on stage with this new album should catapult REAPER into our community’s Metal limelight; buying this mandatory Metal work and spreading the Metal word about REAPER should be on every Metalhead’s to-do list in 2014! TWITCHING TONGUES – To Release “World War LIVE” Album Through Closed Casket Activities

TWITCHING TONGUES and Closed Casket Activities are proud to announce the World War LIVE limited “live” LP/CD.

Recorded live in the Van Nuys stadium called THE PIT in front of twenty screaming fans, this is (not) a true testament to the event that occurs when this band hits the stage. The band was tired of hearing “they’re better live,” so here it is. With a setlist comprised mostly of songs from their latest LP, In Love There Is No Law, as well as previous material, the record almost doubles as a best-of the band’s current stage. The album cover was made by the legendary Sean Taggart (Carnivore, Crumbsuckers, Agnostic Front) and hardcopy buyers will regret their purchases slightly less with the addition of bonus material.

Toronto, Ontario’s fun-loving, beer drinking progressive folk metal band PROTOKULT are proud to share with fans artwork and the track listing for their upcoming album ‘No Beer In Heaven’, set for official release on August 8th, 2014, to follow-up 2011’s EP ‘Marzena’ and 2009’s debut ‘Ancestral Anthems’.

“We are anxious and excited to finally unleash the first PROTOKULT full-length album with our current and talented lineup. Expect nothing short of pure, heathen prog-folk with a healthy traditional metal dosage in the mix. Years in the making and a few line up changes in the PROTOKULT camp, the Eastern European transplants have transformed progressive, folk and heavy metal influences into a twelve track adventurous trek, diving into themes of drinking, history and human endeavor. SECRET CUTTER – Independent Debut LP From Pennsylvania Trio Destroys Everything

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based trio, SECRET CUTTER, has independently released their debut full-length LP, Self Titled.

Following SECRET CUTTER‘s debut EP, If You Don’t Hate Yourself, You’re Not Paying Attention, released on Square of Opposition Records, now crawls forth in the form of Self Titled, the band’s first full-length release. With over twenty-six minutes of new material, fully produced by the band at drummer Jared Stimpfl’s Captured Recording Studios, a maelstrom of their most forceful songwriting, and eclectic, brutal musical dementia comes alive with ten vigorous tracks.

Self Titled has already been picked up by random popular media outlets, including MetalSucks, who freaked over the LP: “They’re taking what bands like Nails, Black Breath and The Body are doing and somehow making it even more visceral, even more intense.” About.com was fully blown by trio’s delivery, stating, “A three-piece shouldn’t sound this heavy, but Allentown, Pennsylvania’s SECRET CUTTER manages to pull off the impossible… If you have even an inkling of a grind or sludge gene in your DNA, you need to check these guys out.” Echoes And Dust described the album as “…heavy sludge/grind/doom that is judiciously laced with feedback and a bit of punk rock intensity. DESERTED FEAR – Recording New Album

German Death maniacs DESERTED FEAR have entered Thuringian Eisensound Studio in Eisenberg, Germany to begin work on their new, as-of-yet untitled album.

The band comments: “It´s getting loud again in Eisensound studio! After over two years of abstinence from the studio, that we spent with playing a lot of great live shows, we are now returning to record a new record. The new album will once again contain nine neck-breaking death metal songs as well as a cool guest feature, which we will announce later. The drums are nailed down already and now we will do the guitars. Stay tuned people, we are really looking forward to present this to you!”

DESERTED FEAR are considered one of Germany´s premier young Death Metal bands. The band’s 2012 debut, My Empire, earned acclaim from both fans and critics worldwide.

ELECTRIC WIZARD UNVEIL “TIME TO DIE” AS TITLE OF FORTHCOMING STUDIO ALBUM – OFFICIAL ARTWORK REVEALED

LONDON, July 1, 2014 – Electric Wizard have announced Time to Die as the title of their forthcoming studio album. Time to Die is the eighth full-length offering from the masters of aural punishment and is testament to the fact that Electric Wizard continue to be the most uncompromisingly heavy, genuinely twisted and evil band in the world.

This will be the band’s first album release since signing a worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records.

Says Electric Wizard founding member, Jus Oborn:

“All of our albums in the past have had a theme; revenge, drugs, black magic and the theme of this one is death. Of course, death to us really means rebirth, so this album is a manifestation of a very primal occult belief in the final sacrifice. We have gone full circle, it was inevitable but we had to do it. We had to kill the band so we could be reborn. It was the only way to ensure we could come back even stronger.”

The artwork, once again created by Oborn, is an extension of that theme; this is further solidified by the LP gatefold image, which will be revealed soon.

Electric Wizard, having just played Hellfest in France, have the following festival appearances lined up for 2014, with more shows to be added:
