Polish death metal legends VADER have updated their “United Titans Tour 2022” dates with MARDUK and announced “The Awakening of Tyrants” tour in Poland!

VADERMANIAX !!!! “The Awakening of Tyrants” tour in Poland is announced and prepared jointly by Massive Music, Left Hand Sounds and Knock Out Productions. Details are below. We will visit 10 cities where we will play for you a special set of songs prepared for this very occasion, which include a lot of our beginnings when Vader sang in Polish. Y’all hear me out. In. “Tyranow Hell”, “Necropolis”, “Die Dog! “, “Ever Cursed” or “Truffy Poison”. As this year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Revelations, we’ll remind you of hits like Epitaph, never played Whisper or the mighty Revelations of Black Moses. And it’s not all of surprises. Of course, we always remember about the “Vader classics” which will also be there. WE ARE INVOLVED !!!!

ILIUM Release Lyric Video – EP OUT NOW!

Australian metal band ILIUM are streaming their new EP Quantum Evolution Event now! To celebrate the release, the band has released a lyric video for their track “Undergods”.

Melding dark supernatural and sci-fi themes with an exploration of the human condition and the natural world, ILIUM create a huge melodic sound combining influences from power, traditional, progressive, thrash and symphonic metal. Quantum Evolution Event follows the release of ILIUM’s 2020 album Carcinogeist and its accompanying EP Enviro-Metal.

Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, ILIUM released their debut, self-titled EP in 2002. Working with a wealth of guest musicians and producers over the years including Mike DiMeo (RIOT, MASTERPLAN), Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PAGAN’S MIND, PRETTY MAIDS) and Lance King (BALANCE OF POWER, AVIAN), Quantum Evolution Event is no different. The new EP features long-time collaborators Tim Yatras (DUNGEON, LORD, GERM) on drums and Lord Tim (LORD, BLACKENED ANGEL, FROMBEYOND) on vocals and production.

Striving to further develop their sound with each release, the dynamic outfit deliver epic lead melodies and solos and soaring vocals, and compose arrangements designed with dramatic impact in mind. Quantum Evolution Event opens with a flourish of melodic theatrics in the title track. Harsh distortion from the guitars and powerful percussion is balanced with ethereal synths and harmony filled vocals. ILIUM pack a real punch with strong guitar driven rhythms creating heavier sounds in “Undergods” and “Hostile Sky”. Contrasting these elements with highly intricate riffs and charismatic voices.

Explosive energy fuels the new release with each track bringing an epic intensity. The instrumentation throughout Quantum Evolution Event explores a vast array of metal subgenres and yet ILIUM fuse them into their own distinctive style.

DESOLATE SHRINE – To Return With “Fires Of The Dying World”

Finnish death metal trio DESOLATE SHRINE will reemerge from the crypts with their newest offering, Fires of the Dying World. Dark Descent Records will release the album on CD, cassette, and digital formats on March 25. Vinyl treatment coming later this year.

At long last the successor to 2017’s Deliverance from the Godless Void has been unconfined from the clandestine vaults of Dark Descent Records. Aptly titled Fires of the Dying World, Finland’s DESOLATE SHRINE delivers 46 minutes of their unique death metal possession. The masterful craftsmanship on DESOLATE SHRINE’s fifth album is unmistakable; a true portrait of a band at their absolute peak.

Yet be forewarned before indulging from the poison chalice of Fires of the Dying World for it ensnares its victims in an inescapable maelstrom of death and futility. Texas Thrashers XIL To Release New Album

Texas thrashers XIL will release their upcoming album Rip & Tear via Confused Records on Feb 25th 2022.

Blasting out of the savage underground of south-central Texas, the trio unshackle a dynamic sound born out of speed and thrash, with a riotous rock ‘n’ roll edge. Attacking with a powerful brutality, XIL’s new album speeds through the light barrier with intense energy that refuses to let up. “Speedemons” races at redneck speed following the dark entities in their mission to pillage and plunder the human species. “Breakneck” begins with a slower tempo building up to a dramatic transition into hard-hitting percussion and kick-ass guitar riffs.

Creating a wall of sound with the instrumentation, XIL’s vocals soar above the utter heavy chaos, bringing their own raw, aggressive impact into the mix. Concluding Rip & Tear with “Equinox” combines the pillars of their sound to an ultimate climax. It’s energetic and filled up on guitar riffs producing a blazing effect.

The future of the Earth may be looking rather bleak as the demonic warrior forces take control, but death by thrash and speed seems like a pretty good way to go. Dive head-first into this epic metal fantasy.

Nameless Grave Records presents Crest Of The Martyrs Demos, an alternate/demo version of TWISTED TOWER DIRE’s adored third album, making the recordings available for the first time.

In the days of olde, after classic heavy metal was supplanted by extreme music and before the current reignition of interest that the genre has enjoyed, Northern Virginia’s TWISTED TOWER DIRE tirelessly defended true heavy metal in all forms as they sought to breathe new light into a then largely dead genre. By the time their now-legendary third album Crest Of The Martyrs was written they were on top of the world, having played Wacken for the first time a couple years earlier and having released two full-lengths on The Miskatonic Foundation, run by Rich Walker of Solstice fame, as well as a wide array of EPs, splits, compilation tracks, and more.

Crest Of The Martyrs was the next step: a bigger power metal label, sleeker production, and TWISTED TOWER DIRE’s biggest hooks and choruses yet. Underneath the gleaming power metal edge provided by the production provided by the label and studio still lurked the same triumphing true metal band, however, and for the first time, Nameless Grave Records is proud to present Crest Of The Martyrs the way the band originally intended it: as a devastating, lean set of heavy metal bangers untouched by modern power metal production, and alternate studio decisions.

Old fans of the band can rejoice to have this different set of recordings available for the first time, and new fans can marvel at the powerhouse of one of America’s finest bands playing at their best. Highly recommended for fans of Visigoth, Pharaoh, and Omen.

Recorded in 2002 at Killabrew Studios, produced by Matt Crooks and TWISTED TOWER DIRE, and mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studios, Crest Of The Martyrs Demos is completed with artwork personally done for this release by guitarist Scott Waldrop. The CD version features bonus tracks not included on the vinyl, including a second demo as well as a live track from Wacken 2003, and both the CD and vinyl editions bear liner notes from the band. The LP will be pressed in a total run of 500 copies, including 300 on Black and 100 on Silver. No Remorse Records (Greece) will have an exclusive 100 copies on Light Blue vinyl.

Over Opiated in a Forest of Whispering Speakers still features the sounds on which the band made their name (Post Hardcore, Shoegaze, Progressive Rock, and Math Metal), but features some new stylistic touchstones, such as 70’s hard rock, classic rock, and more traditional metal styles. Over Opiated in a Forest of Whispering Speakers marks the first time that band founder/songwriter David Cotton wrote lyrics/sang vocals on a Seven Nines and Tens record. Pure, aggressive traditional metal that captures the spirit of NWOBHM for the 21st century! On their self-titled album, Vancouver’s Maule reinvigorates the sounds of the early 1980s with a fresh, energetic twist, making it one of the year’s most exciting debuts!

More than four decades after its arrival, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) continues to inspire new musicians. Its first wave, of course, helped create thrash and laid the groundwork for the European and North American metal scenes that would take shape throughout the ensuing decade. And while Iron Maiden and Saxon emerged as the unabashed mainstays of the style, bands like Angel Witch, Blitzkrieg, Diamond Head and Tygers of Pan Tang established the core sonic tenants that now live on through bands a generation removed, including Vancouver, British Columbia’s Maule.

Formed in 2017 by rhythm guitarist/vocalist Jakob Weel and bassist Johnny Maule, Maule broke onto the scene in 2019 with their From Hell demo. The five-song offering made waves throughout the metal underground, showcasing a young band with a deft grasp on traditional metal. As it turns out, Johnny Maule and original lead guitarist Daniel Gottardo came from a classical and jazz music background, informing their unique sense of riffs, rhythms and songwriting arrangements. The momentum from the From Hell demo carried the band into 2020 when they began work on what became their eponymous debut, their first release for Gates of Hell Records.

Recorded in February 2020 at Little Red Sounds Studio with producer and engineer Michael Kraushaar, who previously manned the From Hell sessions, Maule’s self-titled debut is an nine-song realization of the band’s sound, stocked with thrash-inspired riffing, anthemic choruses, blazing leads and Weel’s sharp, biting vocal approach that capably handles aggressive and mid-tempo material. (Gottardo played all leads on the album, but has since been replaced by Justin Walker.)

Lyrically, Maule embraces the storytelling philosophy embraced throughout classic metal with tales of life and death, with additional nods to Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft. The album’s cover art was created by Dave Levi Holland and was based on a sketch from Johnny Maule.
