Grind royalty Pig Destroyer have revealed a pair of Northeast tour dates with Dropdead. Guests along the way will include HIVESMASHER and UltraMantis Black.
Sussex quintet Subservience have been gathering a great reputation across their native UK and beyond with their corrosive blend of groove laden Extreme Metal since forming in 2010. Having already released a demo ‘Blueprint To Chaos’ in 2010, a split with Sa-da-KO in 2011 and two crushing EP’s ‘Dystopia’ and ‘Ripped In Half’ in 2012 and 2013 respectively; Subservience are right on queue and are set to unleash yet another beast of a record.
‘Upheaval’, recorded at Brighton Electric, is the title of the band’s forthcoming EP and is set for release on 17th October 2014. The track listing is as follows.
1) Upheaval
2) Inhuman Savagery
3) Slither
4) Divine Malevolence
Talented Indonesian artist Krisna Widiathama was commissioned for the ‘Upheaval’ cover art, which can be seen below.
Speaking of ‘Upheaval’, which the band claim is their heaviest effort to date, guitarist Ryan Jardine comments: “Previously our lyrics had been firmly based on reality but now, with our new vocalist [Dan Lofthouse], we have taken inspiration from works of fiction and combined this with real life experiences. Musically, we really wanted to expand on everything we’ve done before, to push ourselves further and add more technicality, yet making sure we didn’t lose the all-important groove people know us for. Everyone in the band has been fully involved with the new material. We all have a vast range of influences and it’s just been about bringing this all together.”
Drawing influence from the classic Death Metal bands of yesteryear as well as the recent breed of modern greats you will find no self-indulgent displays here; Subservience have put on a stage show that certainly pulls no punches. Brimming over with concentrated fury and a taste for chaos, they have been met with a great reception amongst their ever-growing fan base. Their live show has earned them a reputation as one of the heaviest bands on the south coast, and has rewarded them with slots at Download Festival 2013 and Hammerfest III, as well as sharing bills with underground heavyweights Blood Red Throne, Xerath, Mortad, Bloodshot Dawn, Hour of Penance, Demonic Resurrection, Flayed Disciple and Eye of Solitude.
Top 10 Billboard charting Metal legion, WHITECHAPEL, will be returning to the road this Fall! The trek features support from Upon A Burning Body and Glass Cloud and includes a stop at Slipknot’s KNOTFEST 2014 on October 26th in San Bernardino, CA. Tickets for WHITECHAPEL’s headlining incursion will be on sale on Saturday, August 23rd at 10am local time for each show.

German Death Metallers SLAUGHTERDAY are back with a new EP, appropriately titled Ravenous. The EP is available on MCD format and as a limited edition (300 copies) blood-red vinyl MLP through FDA Rekotz.
The follow-up to 2013’s savage debut full-length Nightmare Vortex consists of three new tracks and a cover of ACHERON’s “Ave Satanas.” No secrets, surprises, or relief here; just 20 minutes of SLAUGHTERDAY’s dark ‘n creepy Death Metal! Ravenous was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jörg Uken at Soundlodge Studio. Artwork by Swedish artist Jan Pysander Whitney.
“Germany’s Slaughterday have the gumption (and instinct) to take T. Gabriel Fischer’s get-up-and-say-Hey! vox, back it with tested-and-true Oakland CA death/doom found in the collection of every serial killer, and inject the mishmash with a Swedish melodic sensibility cultivated from the early ’90s to present.”– Worm Gear Zine
As ashes rained from the heavens, the sounds of chaos and despair drew near… and thus Orchestrated Misery Recordings realized the time was nigh for the release of a split CD featuring the sonic torture of THRONE OF SACRILEGE and IMPURIUM: U.S. Black/Death Metal bands raging with torment and hate! Featuring three songs from each band, the label has pressed a mere 666 copies to the screaming Metal demons for consumption. This music was not meant for the weak; this is true Black/Death Metal!
THRONE OF SACRILEGE was formed in 2012 and consists of current/former members of Ezurate, Psychomancer, Ebonmortis, Fin, Relentless, Disfigurement, Against the Plagues and Apothecarrion. Combining their talent and pedigrees, the band is: Grimnyr-Guitars/Bass; Throgrym-Vocals; DK-Percussion. Drawing from influences of past legends like Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Sodom, Destruction, Kreator, Bathory, Asphxy and Sarcofago the band hammered out several songs, but decided to only record and release three. Very chaotic and brutal, the elements of Black and Death metal are pervasive. facebook.com/throneofsacrilege
IMPURIUM is a three-piece Black Metal outfit hailing from Northwest Indiana. The band formed in 2008 by brothers Andrew and Aaron Mote. After many years of being influenced by Slayer, Death, Dark Throne, Mayhem and Immortal, the brothers joined forces and began penning material for a possible release. In the fall of 2009 drummer David Ross (Invasion, Nocturnal Torment, Afterlife, Sea of Tranquillity) joined the brothers Mote and chaos ensued. That which is recorded is a blasphemic, tortured, mid 80’s Black Metal sound captured on audio! facebook.com/pages/IMPURIUM/71173899896
With the release of Totalitarian Dystopia, the new full-length from London death slingers, ACRANIA, now less than two weeks away, American Aftermath is pleased to wreck your speakers with sixth track, A Gluttonous Abomination.
Recorded with Stu McKay at Studio 6 in London with mixing/mastering by Chris Foster, Totalitarian Dystopia hurls forth a thirty-six minute maelstrom of audio wreckage through ten corrosive tales dissecting chaos, corruption and the imminent collapse of mankind. The record includes guest appearances from Tom Barber of Lorna Shore, Mendel of Aborted and Jamie Hanks of I Declare War, and promises to engulf an entire new legion of modern death fanatics worldwide with its surgical execution and relentless brutality.
Boasts American Aftermath of the track, “ACRANIA‘s ‘A Gluttonous Abomination’ is a festering slab of disgusting Death Metal and this is definitely something you want to wrap your head around on such a beautiful day.”
Get irate with “A Gluttonous Abomination” at THIS LOCATION.
And if you missed it, feast your eyes an ears on the “Festering With Dishonesty” lyric video now playing at Decibel at THIS LOCATION.
Named after a rare congenital disorder that occurs in the human fetus in which the flat bones in the cranial vault are either partially or completely absent, the politically-bent ACRANIA has spread their message through several independent recordings since their 2012 inception. Their debut split with Blue Waffle and “A Trophy Of Corporate Disfigurement” single, both released in their first year as a band, followed by their The Beginning Of The End EP released last year have helped the band forge a devout fanbase of pit-seeking followers. Having already toured with various acts around Europe including Cerebral Bore and Warpath, plus with upcoming shows booked alongside Thy Art Is Murder, Blood Red Throne and many more, ACRANIA will continue to scoff their way through the scene and proliferate their message of maximized hostility through their blistering fusion of brutality, slams and blastbeats.
Totalitarian Dystopia will be released on August 19th, 2014 via Unique Leader Records. Preorder your copy at THIS LOCATION.
German Death Metal outfit OBSCURE INFINITY have revealed the cover art for their upcoming third full-length, Perpetual Descending Into Nothingness. The artwork comes courtesy of Juanjo Castellano (Blaspherian, Revel In Flesh, Harm), who commented on the album after hearing select tracks, calling it “killer stuff!”
Perpetual Descending Into Nothingness is set for release later this year on FDA Rekotz.
East Coast Death Metal trio HORRENDOUS are set to return with their highly anticipated sophomore release, Ecdysis, on October 14. Picking up where the band’s critically acclaimed 2012 debut, The Chills, left off, Ecdysis sees HORRENDOUS emerge as one of the most intense, brutal, and most importantly, genuine contributors to today’s traditional Death Metal revival.
Ecdysis is set for an October 14 worldwide release on CD, vinyl and digital formats via Dark Descent Records. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Subterranean Watchtower Studios (www.facebook.com/SubterraneanWatchtower). Cover art for the album was done by Brian Smith.

East Anglia’s monolithic Metal act, The King Is Blind, have announced that they will release their debut EP, The Deficiencies Of Man, via Mordgrimm on September 1st. It is currently streaming via UK’s Terrorizer Magazine. Listen to it here.
Featuring ex-members of Cradle of Filth, The Blood Divine, Entwined and a current member of Extreme Noise Terror, The King is Blind’s debut was recorded, produced and mixed by Tom Donovan (Telepathy, Dingus Khan) at Tom Donovan Studios, Essex (UK) and mastered by Tim Turan (Emperor, Marilyn Manson) at Turan Audio, Oxford (UK).
A lyric video, directed by Sam Scott Hunter (Motörhead), to the track “A Thousand Burning Temples” is now showing below:
The band formed in 2013 and released a demo EP in March 2014 titled Bleeding the Ascension. Shortly afterwards, on March 21st, 2014, the band performed their debut live performance in their hometown of Colchester. The event was received with great praise and shortly before that the band was announced to play the UK’s biggest Heavy Metal open air, Bloodstock Festival.
The East Anglia quartet is not stopping there. They are already confirmed to perform at Hammerfest VII in March 2015. The band’s aim is to make British Metal the intimidating force it once was and they are already recognized for that by a MetalRecusants writer: “Colossally intimidating… The King Is Blind look set to dominate the British Metal scene”.
The King is Blind are already being recognised for their work. Terrorizer Magazine described the band’s sound as “the groove of old school Death Metal… with deliciously doomy riffs for good measure”. However, as Ghost Cult Magazine notices, the band likes to keep it fresh and has a modern sound: “Drawing comparisons to Celtic Frost, but with the touch and heft of the best modern bands”.

This November, Pennsylvania’s RIVERS OF NIHIL will embark on the biggest tour of their career thus far as openers on Death’s (DTA Tours) Swamp Leper Stomp ’14 tour! Additional support will come from Death Metal legends Obituary and Massacre. The trek will commence on November 14th at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California and wraps up on December 7th in Miami, Florida at Grand Central.
Comments guitarist Jon Kunz: “We’re incredibly stoked to a part of this year’s North American Death (DTA Tours)! Death are one of our biggest influences, with the incredible Human album being a constant source of inspiration. Throw in the nasty Tampa savagery of Obituary and Massacre, and you have the best Death Metal tour of the year. Long live Chuck [Schuldiner]. Florida Death Metal is supreme!”
Earlier this year, RIVERS OF NIHIL released a video for Birth Of The Omnisavior, a sleek and dark clip that captures visually what this band does so well sonically: play emboldened, deftly-executed Death Metal at a level far beyond their years. Watch “Birth Of The Omnisavior” from their The Conscious Seed Of Light full length now at THIS LOCATION.
Formed in 2009, the modern progressive Death Metal quintet’s music is as dark and heavy as the coal and iron on which their home city was built upon, taking influences from some of Death Metal’s heaviest, most abrasive hitters like Morbid Angel, Gojira, Spawn of Possession, and Decapitated. RIVERS OF NIHIL‘s debut album, The Conscious Seed Of Light, was recorded in March of 2013 at Mana Recording Studios in Florida with famed Metal producer/musician Erik Rutan. While The Conscious Seed Of Light is not necessarily a concept album traditionally speaking, RIVERS OF NIHIL began their project with the idea that they would release four separate albums tied together with one common theme: each reflecting a particular season of a year.
Bassist Adam Biggs elaborates: “The Conscious Seed Of Light is intended to be representative of Spring and explores various themes concerning new beginnings, growth, and an attachment to the natural world in a post-human Earth. Unlike some concept records however, we wanted to allow each song to work on its own terms. Rather than have the songs rely on each other to move a specific story structure forward; they work within their own separate narratives, but ultimately serve the album’s broader concept.”

New York Death Metal legion, INTERNAL BLEEDING, will unleash their long-awaited new full-length, Imperium, to the masses this Fall via Unique Leader Records. Produced by the band alongside Joe Cincotta at Full Force Studio (Suffocation, Dehumanized, Mortal Decay) in Ronkonkoma, New York and engineered by Cincotta and Derek Boyer, Imperium boasts the menacing artwork of Mircea Gabriel Eftemie (Carcass, Cryptopsy, The Haunted, Nevermore et al) and spews forth some of the band’s darkest, heaviest, and most sonically and musically cohesive material of their storied career.
Additionally, Imperium includes a three-part trilogy featuring guest appearances by Suffocation’s Terrance Hobbs and Frank Mullen as well as former INTERNAL BLEEDING throat Frank Rini. At once aurally pulverizing and conceptually strirring, Imperium smokes all its path! INTERNAL BLEEDING is clearly back and ready for a takeover.
In anticipation of its release, today INTERNAL BLEEDING brings fans a ten-plus-minute video examination of Imperium boasting interviews with individual members as well as snippets of each track.
Comments guitarist Chris Pervelis: “We wanted to try to give fans of the band a little bit of insight into each song from both a musical and lyrical perspective. Even though we feel the album is very cohesive and we’re all on the same page musically, each member of the band has a different take on what is important and interesting about the album. It’s these different perspectives that combine to make Imperium a very complete and well-rounded recording.”

Imperium will be released via Unique Leader Records on September 30th, 2014. Preorder packages are currently available at THIS LOCATION.
California-based Unique Leader Records declares war with the addition of vicious Italian quartet, BLOODTRUTH, to their perpetually expanding army of Extreme Metal architects.
Initially forged in 2009 as the side project of Fleshgod Apocalypse members Francesco Paoli and Paolo Rossi and now featuring the updated lineup of vocalist Luigi Valenti, guitarist Stefano Rossi Ciucci, bassist Riccardo Rogari and drummer Giacomo Torti, BLOODTRUTH heaves forth a sonic fire-ball of speed, brutality and unadulterated hate. Fusing the cryptic atmosphere of early ’90s Death Metal and evocative Gregorian chant, representing the band’s homeland and history, with methodical technicality, BLOODTRUTH are ceaseless in their ear-lacerating capabilities.
Following their two-track promo released in 2012, BLOODTRUTH is ready to release their debut full-length, Obedience. Engineered by Francesco Paoli and Cristiano Trionfera (both of Fleshgod Apocalypse) at Sonic Hammer Studios, then mixed and mastered by Italian Death Metal producer and legend Stefano Morabito of 16th Cellars Studios (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Eyeconoclast, Inherit Disease et al), the ten tracks on Obedience tap into a wealth of unadulterated lyrical hatred released through incinerating waves of limb-removing, guttural metal. Colin Marks of Rain Song Design (Exodus, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Kataklysm) created some of his most intense artwork for the release, the perfect summary of the level of extreme comprising Obedience.
Check out the Obedience teaser video below:
Obedience – Track Listing:

Edmonton, AB’s Death Metal crusaders KRYOSPHERE are proud to announce their ‘West Koast Katastrophe Tour’ that will kick off in Nelson, BC on September 18 at Kootenay Coop Radio for in studio performance and interview on the Nelson On Nelson show and wrap up in Edmonton, AB on September 28th.
“We have been waiting a while now to get out to the West coast, and we are stoked to be getting all the way to Vancouver Island for two dates. With all the festivals we have played this summer so far, it will be nice to seal the deal so to speak and do it night after night for different crowds. In Vancouver we get to play a one-night special with ENTROPIA, which is going to be a hell of an introduction to the Vancouver metal scene. I mean for Brent our drummer, this will be a long time coming return to the big water, but the first for KRYOSPHERE. Also a big shout out to Terry Anderson of RTK for making this all a possibility, we wouldn’t be headed out if it wasn’t for his dedication. Support your local Metal scenes!” comments bassist Stephanie Bell.
TOUR PROMO VIDEO:
Maintaining a strong connection with the roots of old-school Death Metal, KROYOSPHERE, established in 2008, by drummer Brent Bell (ex-Spawned by Rot, ex-Butcher’d), Stephanie Bell on bass, Dave Waram on guitar, and Davis Hay on vocals have released two EPs, 2013’s ‘SOL’ and 2011 debut ‘At Six Feet’ with a follow-up in the works for late 2014 / early 2015. Combining memorable riffs, soaring solos, powerful vocals plus thumping bass drives to inventive and technical drumming, KRYOSPHERE has been able to draw crowds of Metal fans with hails horns high. The band has shared the stage with Putrescence, Dead Jesus, Unleash The Archers, West of Hell, Archspire and many more from the Western Canadian Metal scene.
Kryosphere at its core has always maintained strong connections with an old-school Death Metal sound, while embracing the new ideas of their younger peers. In short, they are a Modern Death Metal band that knows how to draw a crowd across the massive gulf of Metal fans.
Formed in 2008 by drummer Brent Bell (ex-Spawned by Rot, ex-Butcher’d) with line changes through its early years, Kryosphere finally solidified an identity with Brent Bell on drums, Stephanie Bell on bass, Dave Waram on guitar, and Davis Hay on vocals. Their debut EP “At Six Feet” was unleashed in 2011 and followed by their 2013 self-release EP “SOL”.
Great attention has been placed on song writing, and it shows on. The uniquely structured music of “SOL” has memorable riffs that are often lacking in today’s Metal. Soaring solos and powerful vocals accompany thick bang along sections, while thumping bass drives the overall feeling of every song. Inventive and technical drumming steer the band through multiple time changes and differing movements.

About DISPLAY OF DECAY:
In 2007, Edmonton, AB underwent one of the most notable natural disasters in history. An earthquake split the city in two, and chaos ran amok through the streets.
Alas…such things are bound to happen when DISPLAY OF DECAY takes the stage. Handcrafted by Hell’s most elite demons, DISPLAY OF DECAY is noted for bringing a unique blend of old school Death Metal, blended with tinges of Thrash and Doom Metal. The band has spread their infection across Western Canada over the years, sharing the stage alongside other local elite acts such as, Disciples of Power and Into Eternity.
After unleashing three well received indie releases, DISPLAY OF DECAY is currently gearing up for their next follow-up “Outbreak of Infection”, an EP featuring five brutal tracks that includes an annihilating rendition of KISS’ ‘Black Diamond’. Set to riot mosh pits officially August 26, 2014, DISPLAY OF DECAY is eagerly preparing to tour Western Canada in 2014 to promote their best work to date.
