Chilean death-doom cult DEVS MORTVORVM have unveiled the second taste of their upcoming EP with the brand new single “Orgy in the Graveyard”, now streaming exclusively via a premiere at Mystification Zine. Drenched in decay and driven by the bandβs signature blend of cavernous doom and old-school death metal, this track sets the tone for what promises to be a truly morbid release.

This upcoming EP features five tracks, three original compositions, a crushing cover of “Acid Orgy” by U.S. cult legends Goatlord, and a raw live track that captures the bandβs visceral stage presence. Every aspect of this release, the lyrics, artwork, and music is a unified expression of DEVS MORTVORVMβs devotion to the morbid spirit of doom-death and necrolatry.
Musically, the EP offers an enticing blend of shadow-drenched, vicious death-doom, where sludgy riffs clash and intertwine with serpentine melodies, creating a dynamic tension that keeps each track unpredictable and alive. Itβs a masterclass in sonic decay, where every note drips with the dampness of the tomb.

Technical death metal force EXTERMINATUS has unveiled a new guitar playthrough video for “Starbound,” the third track from their latest album Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1. Shot on a vibrant spring day in Vancouver, this video captures not only the technical finesse of guitarists Elia Baghbaniyan (KIESEL) and Tabreez Azad (SCHECTER), but also a striking contrast between the band’s heavy, groove-infused sound and the serene setting of Habitat Island.
βStarbound” is one of the more melodic and rhythmically driven songs on Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1, showcasing EXTERMINATUSβs ability to weave atmosphere and groove into their technically dense compositions. The track is filled with uplifting leads, dynamic riff changes, and tight synchronization between both guitarists, making it a standout moment on the record and a fan favorite for playthrough content.
The video places Baghbaniyan and Azad in the heart of nature, juxtaposing the raw aggression of their playing with the peaceful backdrop of Vancouverβs coast. Itβs a visual reminder of the scope and depth of EXTERMINATUSβs music: brutal yet precise, heavy yet thoughtful, grounded in earth yet reaching for the stars.
Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1 is now streaming on all major platforms and available for purchase at: https://exterminatus.bandcamp.com.
The album explores themes of cosmic evolution, artificial intelligence, and the existential terror of infinite recurrence, all brought to life through relentless riffs, atmospheric compositions, and blistering technicality.

Tabreez Azad β Guitar/Vocals
Elia Baghbaniyan β Guitar
Luka Bresan β Lead Vocals
Max Sepulveda β Drums
Lucas Abreu β Bass
Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1 – Track Listing:
Marking a bold shift in their creative approach, the band deconstructed their usual songwriting method by starting with drums instead of riffs. Percussionist P.A. recorded raw, unanchored drum tracks that guitarist E.S. then manipulated and smothered with riffs designed to overpower the rhythms. While the unorthodox process could have resulted in utter chaos, it instead gave birth to some of the most refined and structurally cohesive material the band has produced to date.
Sarcophagal Corridors stands as a testament to DESEKRYPTORβs willingness to experiment without losing sight of the malicious death metal core that defines them.
Track-list:
Penance of Hemorrhaging Wrath
Sarcophagal Corridors
Leprous Exsanguination
Umbilical Stigmata
For nearly a decade, Indiana’s DESEKRYPTOR have been patiently perfecting their craft. In 2017 arrived two demos β Demo 2016 and Chasm of Rot β which were collected together under the title of the latter and released by Blood Harvest Records on cassette later that year. A year later came a split with comrades Draghkar, and the momentum seemed to be in DESEKRYPTOR‘s favor: good ‘n’ gutted death metal, with a bit of a blackened singe. Five years of silence followed until the Curse of the Execrated EP, proving that the quartet had become more poised and powerful during that hiatus.
In 2023, DESEKRYPTOR revealed the full fathom of that poise & power with their debut album, Vortex Oblivion; a churning and spurning vacuum of charred riffing, mangled rhythms, and dread atmosphere

FULCI continues to tour in support of their 20 Buck Spin released fourth LP, Duck Face Killings. The infamous Italian director Lucio Fulci created many of horror and exploitation cinemaβs most memorable and vivid visions of the supernatural, sadistic and salacious. Zombi 2, The Beyond, City Of The Living Dead, The House By The Cemetery, and more left an indelible impression on the minds of impressionable youths.
Death metal band FULCI was so possessed by their countrymanβs work, they named the band after him, with each album being a concept and tribute based on one of his films. For the bandβs fourth bloodthirsty full-length, and first for 20 Buck Spin after a steadily growing profile in the death metal underground over the last several years, FULCI presents Duck Face Killings, a homage to one of Lucioβs most depraved and reviled films, The New York Ripper.
Musically, FULCI unleashes a barrage of captivatingly gruesome riffs, gory pummeling, murderous slams, low-pitched guttural vocal patterns, and eerie intros and interludes. The bandβs songwriting is consciously fixated on creating the most violent and sharpened music possible to convey the filmβs extreme savagery, imagining a soundtrack for the most grisly and cynical slasher flick ever made.
Thereβs a lot of luscious meat on these bones, dripping with hooks and all the colors of Lucio Fulciβs eccentric cinema of cruelty, while the psychotic killer hunts his victims with remorseless perversity and sick gratification, inexplicably quacking in a duckβs voice throughoutβ¦
Duck Face Killings is available on LP, CD, MC, and digital at the 20 Buck Spin webshop HERE and Bandcamp HERE.
FULCIβs Duck Face Killings was recorded at Till Deaf Recording Studios, engineered and mixed by Ando Ferraiulo with assistant engineer Angelo Guierriero, with vocal recording and engineering handled by Stefano Santi at SPVN Studio, and was mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Cavalera Conspiracy, Tomb Mold).
The cover artwork was crafted by Wes Benscoter (Autopsy, Sinister, Mortician, Broken Hope, Nile), conceptualized by Dome Diego and Fiore Stravino, the layout handled by Ascionemagro, and photography was handled by Chiara Meierhofer MuscarΓ . The album features guest vocal appearances by Lord Goat of legendary hip-hop act Non Phixion on βKnifeβ and Sherwood Webber of infamous death henchmen Skinless on βHuman Scalp Collection,β and saxophone on βIl Miele Del Diavoloβ by Mario Luce.

Portland blackened death-metal band DROUTH has unveiled the title track from their impending album, The Teeth of Time, that’s out May 16th from Eternal Warfare Records.
Commenting on the single, the band states:
“‘The Teeth of Time’ was an obvious choice for us to make the title track and centerpiece of the album, as it encapsulates the lyrical and musical themes most central to Drouth at this moment. It is the fullest realization of our artistic ambition yet, and having our friends Laurie Sue and Christy Cather contribute guest vocals was truly an honor. Their projects, Ludicra in particular, are huge sources of inspiration for us and we knew their distinctive styles would fit perfectly with the song.“
The face-melting and mind-bending torrential new song was first revealed at DecibelMagazine.com and follows the previously released track “False Grail.”
Adding about the record, the band has said:
βWe are proud to present The Teeth of Time, a culmination of several years of blood, sweat and pain. It is a nightmare made manifest, and we are both eager to share our creative work and grateful to the many people who helped make it possible.β
The Teeth of Time Tracklist: 1. Hurl Your Thunderbolt Even Unto Death 2. False Grail 3. The Teeth of Time 4. Through a Glass, Darkly 5. Exult, Ye Flagellant

Their follow up, The Teeth of Time was recorded and mixed with legendary engineer Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Cattle Decapitation) and mastered by Justin Weis (Agalloch, Hammers of Misfortune) and features five tracks of vicious, melodically adventurous black/death metal, spread across 40 unrelenting minutes.

The EP’s lyrical themes include space exploration, artificial intelligence, human consciousness and death. The sound of the EP blends the varied metal influences of members Damien and Simone. US band playing thick, groovy, bludgeoning death metal
After offering various kinds of death metal on the label this year – blackened death, dissodeath, tech death, prog death, post-punk death – we’re happy to offer a more brutish form of death metal and Thorn doesn’t disappoint in that regard. Their corpulent grooves are sure to satiate your primal cravings. Check out two of their songs from their latest album AT THIS LINK.
Thorn – Nebulous Womb of Eternity (Death Metal)
Thorn has a knack of churning out punchy, rotten death metal hymns rife with some nasty, lurching grooves. The album will have the listener rocking back and forth in its asphyxiating grasp like a pin-pricked voodoo ragdoll. The stench of sickness is thick and pervades the entire recording.
Brennen has come up with meatier, denser, chuggier songs on this record while retaining the band’s primal essence and there is more death metal than doom found on this recording. There are still moments where gleaming leads come in and brighten up the proceedings but it remains a dark, fetid and glutinous affair through and through.
The corpulent grooves stand out the most and form the bulk of this recording. If you like the idea of death metal sounding massive, ponderous, and packed with heaving, earth-rumbling parts, this album is most certainly meant for you.

Chilean death-doom cult DEVS MORTVORVM will unleash their new EP on June 6, 2025 via Apocalyptic Productions, delivering a putrid sermon steeped in the stench of traditional death metal and the mournful crawl of doomed melodies.
The first single “Love for the Dead” is now streaming HERE.
This upcoming EP features five tracks, three original compositions, a crushing cover of “Acid Orgy” by U.S. cult legends Goatlord, and a raw live track that captures the bandβs visceral stage presence. Every aspect of this release, the lyrics, artwork, and music, is a unified expression of DEVS MORTVORVMβs devotion to the morbid spirit of doom-death and necrolatry.

In additional news, Deadwood unveiled their most harrowing work to date with βHereticβ, the lead single from their upcoming EP Rituals of A Dying Light slated for release later this year. The accompanying video plunges viewers into a nightmarish realm that perfectly complements the band’s brutal, fast-paced sonic assault.
The comment on the single and what the audience should expect:
βThis is the first song weβve written for the next EP and one of the ones weβre most proud of, itβs fast, heavy, and technical. We are a very intense show with a very percussive and tight guitar sound. We have a lot of samples between the songs to create a horror movie atmosphere. The fans go back home with a slap in the face. Heretic represents our darkest material yet.β
The Montreal-based collective, known for its mission to βMake Deathcore Angry Again,β draws inspiration from centuries-old horror stories and myths. The track delivers the uncompromising heaviness and terrifying atmosphere that have become Deadwood‘s signature since its 2020 formation.
The band’s unique blend of death metal and hardcore elements reaches new heights of intensity with this release, promising an unforgettable auditory experience for fans who crave pure brutality. They are recommended for fans of Whitechapel, Despised Icon, and Meshuggah.
