Today, the masked malefactors of Creepsylvania GHOUL are pleased to contaminate the airwaves with a premiere of “Shred The Dead” from their forthcoming Dungeon Bastards opus. In “Shred The Dead,” vocalist Baron Samedi’s commands to retrieve the Omicron Bomb fall on deaf ears, as GHOUL retreats deeper into the Catacombs muttering half-hearted assurances; that is, until Samedi unleashes an army of revivified corpses to persuade them otherwise.

Elaborates guitarist Digestor:“‘Shred The Dead’ is a song about undead fiends, eldritch, mysterious skateboard tricks, and the efficacy of the prevent defense. If Mr. Mustaine is reading this, I’m sure our lawyers can work something out. You seem like a reasonable man.”

Hear “Shred The Dead” at THIS LOCATION.

You can also check out the band’s fan-made “Ghoulunatics” video HERE as well as the previously unearthed “Bringer Of War” playing at Revolver RIGHT HERE.

GHOUL is currently mucking up stages with blood and dread nationwide supporting Carcass and Crowbar on a seventeen-city US tour. The One Foot In The Grave Tour 2016 will come to a close August 8th. Additional support is being provided by Night Demon. Following their run with Carcass, GHOUL will infect four more cities on a smattering of headlining shows. See all confirmed dates below.

GHOUL – Releases New Song for “The Humans” Comic Book Soundtrack

We were really stoked on a comic about violent, motorcycle-riding monkeys. They throw their poo, just like us!” – Cremator, GHOUL

GHOUL has released a new song for the ongoing soundtrack to Image Comics’ The Humans graphic novel series. The song is available online from The Humans Soundcloud page RIGHT HERE.

The Humans comic, by Keenan Marshall Keller and Tom Neely, is set in the ’70s and follows a motorcycle gang’s exploits, but with a twist; in this world, the gangs are all apes and actual humans are primitive beasts kept around for sport. Each issue of The Humans is accompanied by two original songs released online from bands such as Goblin Cock and Witches Of God. GHOUL‘s song, “Humans Till Deth,” is an octane-fueled surf-thrash tune attached to the release of issue #8, out now.

To celebrate the release, GHOUL has also released a promotional video for the song, available for viewing on their Facebook page.

Says Ghoul bassist Cremator: “We were really stoked on a comic about violent, motorcycle-riding monkeys. They throw their poo, just like us!” Ghoul front-man Digestor added, “GHOUL has been busy writing new material, so the timing was just right. We recorded for the first time at Antisleep Studios and their wax cylinders are of the highest quality. The next album will actually and literally murder you.”

GHOUL will be recording a follow-up to their 2011 LP, Transmission Zero, for Tankcrimes Records in December of this year.

GHOUL – Hooded Hooligans Announce Weapons Of Mosh Destruction II Tour Dates!

Ghoul - Weapons Of Mosh Destruction II - promo flyer - 2014

The hooded hooligans of Creepsylvania, GHOUL, are bursting blood vessels to finally announce the second installment of the Weapons Of Most Destruction Tour! Set to launch this April, team GHOUL will lay waste to seven unsuspecting metropolises throughout the West Coast alongside their hardcore thrash mutant accomplices, Iron Reagan and experimental punk/hardcore rippers, Occultist.

Following their pillage, the band will spread their ghoulish delectables all over Oakland, headlining the first night of this year’s edition of Brainsqueeze Fest, which features more than a dozen iconic ear-bleeders including Municipal Waste, Final Conflict, Negative Approach, Fucked Up and Cannabis Corpse. For more info, point your browser HERE.

Proclaims GHOUL from their underground headquarters: “Loyal numbskulls, the Weapons Of Mosh Destruction Tour is rearing its ugly head again, and GHOUL is looking forward to burning your towns, raping your pets, and drinking your beer as we unmercifully bombard the West Coast of your United States on our way to the Tankcrimes Brainsqueeze in Oakland, California. In the unlikely event that you are lucky enough to survive the blitzkrieg assault of Iron Reagan and Occultist, you will be decapitated and disemboweled by GHOUL‘s razor-sharp riffs and after that, our razor-sharp razors. All survivors will be brought back to the catacombs in cages, where GHOUL will keep you alive on a cocktail of morphine and energy drinks while we carve away chunks of your flesh to devour while you watch in horror… I may have said too much. Come to the show! Nothing bad will happen to you!”

GHOUL – Masked Mutants Of Creepsylvania To Release Hang Ten Via Tankcrimes; Band To Headline Night One Of Brainsqueeze Fest

In recognition of that holiest of holy days, Record Store Day, the masked mutants in GHOUL are releasing Hang Ten, a limited edition six-song (mostly) instrumental 10″ EP. Featuring guest vocals from Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste, Iron Reagan) as Henchman #1 and the inimitable R.A. MacLean (ex-Deadbolt) as Kreeg, alongside Digestor, Cremator, Fermentor, Dissector and The Moron Cavern-Shackled Choir.

Hang Ten was recorded by Salvador Raya at Earhammer Studios in Oakland (birthing home of SplatterhashSplatterthrash and Transmission Zero), mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound Mastering and sports cover art by Sean Aaberg of Pork Magazine.

Surely an anomaly in GHOUL‘s catalog, the EP features songs written exclusively in their unique brand of surf metal the quartet has previously only dabbled in. Hang Ten picks up right whereTransmission Zero left off, relaying the tale of a Creepsylvania in tatters, and the terrible power struggle that ensues between two vicious motorcycle gangs. Noted Cambridge University musical anthropologist Dr. Mantle Bannister PhD had this to say about this odd assortment of tenebrous tunes: “Why, it’s quite remarkable. I’ve never heard the like. Is it surf? Not quite. Is it metal? Maybe. Is it jazz? No, that’s a stupid question, unfit for a real life noted musical anthropologist such as myself. It’s from Creepsylvania, you say? Ghastly country. Absolutely crawling with gypsies. Say, old chap, who let you in to my office?”

Hang Ten 10″ Track Listing:

1. The Midnight Ride of the Cannibals MC

2. Kreeg

3. Sidehackers

4. Hang Ten

5. Blood on the Street

6. It Was a Very Good Year

Hang Ten will be released on April 19, 2014 via Tankcrimes Records. Peep the artwork at THIS LOCATION.

In related news, GHOUL will headline the first night of this year’s edition of Brainsqueeze Fest. Set to take place April 18th and 19th at the Oakland Metro and April 20th at Eli’s Mile High Club, which will include BBQ and an Andrei Bouzikov art show, the mammoth event features more than a dozen acts including Municipal Waste, Final Conflict, Negative Approach. Fucked Up and Cannabis Corpse as well as a gaggle of new Tankcrimes releases to be revealed in the coming weeks! Get your riot gear ready. For more info, point your browser HERE.

Further GHOULish missives to be unearthed in the coming days. Until then, wither.

GHOUL – New Carol Of Chaos From Forthcoming Split With Cannabis Corpse Is Gouging Ears At Loudwire

Posted in Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal music, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , , on December 13, 2013 by Metal Odyssey

Cannabis Corpse - Ghoul - split promo cover - december 2013

Hooded Hellions To Take Denver Black Sky This Weekend

Today, the gatekeepers at the Loudwire lair offer up a new carol from the hooded thrash phantoms in GHOUL. The demandingly titled “Spill Your Guts” comes by way of the band’s forthcoming split with weedian death metal ogres, Cannabis Corpse: Splatterhash. An unrepentant exercise in fast fuckall crushingness, Splatterhash boasts four tracks of audio mayhem. For their portion, GHOUL returned to Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California where they recorded both Transmission Zero and Splatterthrash.

Says vocalist/guitarist Digestor from his Creepsylvanian penthouse, “Numbskulls and future Numbskulls! Once again, GHOUL returns to help you rot your eardrums, soil your pantaloons, and disappoint your parents. This time we brought our pals in Cannabis Corpse, though we regretfully had to murder them after hearing how good their side of the split is. We’d like to take this time to apologize to their fans, friends, and families. Such a waste…”

“Spill Your Guts” is now playing at Loudwire. Get sloppy at THIS LOCATION.

The cloaked deviants in GHOUL – Cremator, Fermentor, Digestor, and Dissector – are mutants from Creepsylvania specializing in the refined execution of bone-snapping splatterthrash, grave robbing, flesh consumption, barn burnings and general night time debauchery. This Saturday, GHOUL will emerge from their den of iniquity to co-headline the first annual Black Sky gala. Founded by Skinless’ Sherwood Webber, Denver Black Sky will be held at The Gothic Theatre in Denver and features an absurdly sick lineup of: Dying Fetus, Exhumed, Speedwolf, Power Trip, Mammoth Grinder, Call Of The Void, Reproacher, Weekend Nachos, Iron Reagan, Axeslasher, Primitive Man, Vimana, Of Feather And Bone, Native Daughters, Black Sleep Of Kali, Dead Temple and Flight Of Sleipnir. Bring a tarp.

GHOUL Live Actions:

12/14/2013 Denver Black Sky @ The Gothic Theatre – Denver, CO [tickets]

The Splatterhash 12″ split will be made available via Tankcrimes on January 7, 2014 and comes available on wax, CD and digitally. Preorders and more can be obtained HERE.
