Commanding, fierce, and & triumphing since 1997, there’s no better way to describe Germany’s premier power metal band, PRIMAL FEAR. The band have just unveiled details about their upcoming album Domination, set to drop on September 5, 2025 via RPM. To celebrate this announcement, the lead single “Far Away” has officially landed on streaming platforms worldwide. Packed with all the signature elements of a classic PRIMAL FEAR anthem – soaring melodies, thunderous drums and bass, and a blistering twin-guitar solo – the track also carries a powerful sense of yearning, brought to life by Ralf Scheepers’ unmistakable vocals.

Filmed at Dennis Ward’s Kangaroo Studios in Karlsdorf-Neuthard, Germany, where the Domination recording sessions took place in late 2024, “Far Away” is also available now as a performance-style music video on YouTube.

Scheepers explains the meaning behind the single: “It’s an expression of faith and trust, no matter where or what. We all know this feeling of missing someone so much, not being able to see or hear him/her every day – especially as musicians whilst touring.”

Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, PRIMAL FEAR ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After Code Red [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever.

Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as Domination makes clear, no obstacle is too great for PRIMAL FEAR’s powerhouse songwriting trio – Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who also rejoins the band’s live line-up after several years away.

From the hard-hitting opener “The Hunter” and first single “Far Away,” to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem “Tears Of Fire” and the epic ballad “Eden” – featuring a surprise guest appearance by AD INFINITUM’s Melissa Bonny, Domination delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like “Scream” and “Crossfire,” and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer “A Tune I Won’t Forget,” and it’s clear: PRIMAL FEAR aren’t here to reclaim the crown – they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty.

ONSLAUGHT – Drop Ferocious New Version Of 1989’s “In Search Of Sanity”

After turning heads with their crushing rendition of MOTÖRHEAD’s “Iron Fist,” UK thrash legends ONSLAUGHT return with the second single from their upcoming double-album Origins Of Aggression, which is due out on May 23, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

This time it’s personal. “In Search of Sanity,“ a re-recorded version of the band’s 1989 title track, explodes back to life in 2025 with a vengeance. Packed with towering riffs, mind-blowing solos, and vocal lines sharper than ever, this modern take breathes new fire into a thrash anthem, while keeping its roots raw and intact.

Guitarist and founding member Nige Rockett opens up about the song’s return: “This new recording of the title track from the album of the same name has completely blown me away… It’s like night and day compared to the original version. It’s common knowledge that I’ve never been a huge fan of the album overall. Don’t get me wrong – I love the songs, but at the time it just wasn’t an ONSLAUGHT album in terms of the production, vibe, and everything else that surrounded this particular release.”

“It’s always been my dream to re-record the whole album and to finally make it sound like a real ONSLAUGHT record – the way it should have sounded the first time around. Here it is…! Swedish melodic metal supergroup CYHRA are continuing to take the metal world by storm with the release of their new digital single “Mark of My Sins“. While the group is composed of legendary musicians, “Mark of My Sins” proves that Cyhra is no mere supergroup, but instead a band that produces music on par with anything they have previously released.

A high bar, but one that they consistently meet. This is the sound of a band leveling up: Massive riffs, stadium-sized hooks, and a chorus that refuses to leave your head. Heavy, melodic, and packed with raw intensity, this song is built to be played loud.

A cinematic music video featuring the band navigating a tense, war-like conflict in an urban setting, where vocalist Jake E takes the lead in a quiet, determined struggle for control.

Back in January, UK heavy metal veterans Orange Goblin announced that 2025 would mark their final year, capping an extraordinary 30-year journey that has seen them evolve from backroom bar rockers to one of the most respected names in British metal.

Now, Orange Goblin have shared details of the End Of Transmission 1995-2025 Tour, their final seven shows across the UK and Ireland:

HATE – Unleashes Bellum Regiis Title Track | Full-Length To Drop May 2nd On Metal Blade Records

Slavic black/death metal titans HATE are pleased to unleash the title track of their forthcoming new full-length, Bellum Regiis, set to drop on May 2nd on Metal Blade Records.

With a dozen ferocious and lauded albums since 1996’s Daemon Qui Fecit Terra, HATE’s lucky thirteenth album, Bellum Regiis, finds the unrelenting Polish quartet forging a bolder and more aggressive style than ever. Bellum Regiis’ nine songs see vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, guitarist Domin, drummer Nar-Sil, and bassist Tiermes honing a modern sound rife with eerie atmosphere and depth.

Produced by David Castillo (Candlemass, Carcass, Dark Tranquillity, Katatonia) at Stockholm’s Grondahl Studio, Bellum Regiis is lyrically a more “humanity focused and personal” album than 2021’s Rugia while its songs are timely aural and visual exploration of, according to the vocalist, “a struggle for power and everything that comes with it.”

Bellum Regiis roughly translates to “A War of Royalty” or “A War of Kings” and the title track encompasses the LP’s leitmotif. “As a song, ‘Bellum Regiis’ has both a deep melancholy and a sense of grandeur,” notes the frontman. “The vocals laid down by Eliza Sacharczuk [a renowned singer and voice teacher who runs a holistic arts center in Bialystok] give the song a strong sense of time. Whether that’s nostalgia, reminiscence, regret, or preparation for the future is in the eye of the beholder. These wars, these struggles, have been ongoing since the dawn of our existence. Whether they are futile or not, they are scars on our very nature. ‘Bellum Regiis’ represents the whole album in the best way possible.”

Fans may notice some commonality between Erebos and Bellum Regiis in the character of the compositions and overall sound, with Bellum Regiis being richer in style and with more black-metal elements to it. “Between female vocals, orchestration, samples, acoustic guitars, there are a lot of moving pieces that help set this album apart,” says Sinner. “My vocals have also changed quite a bit over the years. They’re more nuanced and wider-ranging, able to portray emotions and meanings in a more powerful way.”

HATE will join Venom Inc. and Krisiun for a European tour later this week. In October, the band will support Vltimas on a Latin American tour followed by a short run of headlining shows through Poland in November. See all confirmed dates below.

Recorded in early 2024 at East End Sounds in Hensley, Arkansas, The Return Of Magik introduces RWAKE’s guitarists John Judkins and Austin Sublett with a barrage of shredded solos suited to the angular, progressive metal riffing of the album’s most jaw-clenching moments, while presenting a through-line of molten, immersive ambience.

The opener “You Swore We’d Always Be Together,” already a fixture of live sets and the expansive sprawl of “Distant Constellations And The Psychedelic Incarceration” move with cruelty and grace alike. Foreboding, syncopated riffs sway against Moog-driven space and guttural bellows. The Return Of Magik’s songs stand alone as individualized post-metallic blends of genres.

RWAKE remains dually fronted: Chris Terry’s powerful vocals lay against Brittany Fugate’s visceral screams. Jeff Morgan returns to the drum kit, in addition to acoustic guitar and 12-string bass. Bassist/noisemaker Reid Raley, Sublett, and Judkins set an instrumental backdrop that is vast and engrossing in itself; quiet, contemplative passages often explode into gut-wrenching, doomed out distortions. The Return Of Magik, which features artwork by Loni Gillum of Minerva’s Menagerie and RWAKE, burns brighter and beyond the ferocity of the band’s already storied catalog.

BIO: Executionist was officially formed in 2021 by brothers Brett and Tristan Ash, who were 17 and 13 years old, respectively at the time. Their debut EP, Destined for Destruction, was released on January 27, 2021. Two years later, Executionist released “GENESIS 666” (March 2023).

After playing many shows together as a mere two-piece, Executionist finally added a bass player in 2024, in the form of Austin Rose. The three played more shows together before finally rounding out the lineup by adding Mike Kinder on guitar in March of 2025.

Around the same time, Executionist announced the forthcoming release of their debut full-length album, Sacrament of the Sick. The lead single “Serrated Shadows,” has already been released, with another single set to release on April 18. With the release of their album on the horizon, Executionist aims to play live as much as possible while writing new music for their next project.

The seeds for ELEVENTH RAY were sown by materials once artificed for the black metal force of Serpent Noir, whose changing tonality saw guitarist Y.K. bury said materials for a later purpose. A decision that first bore rotten fruit via a devastating rehearsal demo in 2022, which piqued the interest of Dark Descent Records.

ELEVENTH RAY is a totally new autonomous entity for which we plan to work with full force and NOT a one-off project of Serpent Noir leftovers,” exclaims Y.K. “As it happens with all my projects, ELEVENTH RAY is deeply rooted in Dark Magic and the Typhonian Alchemy.”

The practices of Magic and Alchemy are of critical importance to Y.K., and these elements at even keel with the music itself.

“Writing music for the sake of music is not enough. It is the expression of what lies hidden beyond the frames of what we call reality. The great Unknown emanated from the foremost symbol of power, the Red Dragon,” explains Y.K.

“What we were aiming to achieve was the creation of a purely black Magical death/thrash/black metal album without the lyrical satanic naivety of the past. Listening carefully to the album, you will realise that into this blend there is a striking ritualistic element with an ominous vibe and a heavy occult twist. Basically, Reviving Tehom is an album I would personally love to listen to, but I could not find anywhere.”

The common thread extends to the stunning artwork by L.G.N Nekropropaganda, depicting the aforesaid Great Red Dragon “as the orgasm of existence, the utmost symbol of hidden wisdom and forbidden knowledge which is also a tangible form of ecstatic energy. Lyrics deal with personal experiences related to the awakening/channelling of this tremendous force.”

Chicago’s death metal juggernaut BEAR MACE has released their latest single, “The Iceman Cometh,” along with an intense new official music video, taken from their crushing new album Slaves of the Wolf. The track and video dive headfirst into the cold-blooded legacy of infamous contract killer Richard Kuklinski, also known as “The Iceman.”

“This one is about Richard Kuklinski, the infamous ‘Iceman’ who was purported to have killed over 200 people,” says vocalist Chris Scearce. “Every method of killing described in the lyrics are ways that he actually disposed of his victims.”

Visually dark and visceral, the video amplifies the song’s chilling subject matter with disturbing imagery and a relentless performance from BEAR MACE.

Finnish Thrash Metal Band INDEMON To Release Debut Album Reclaiming Chaos – The First Single Out Now!

Finnish thrashers Indemon are set to release their debut album Reclaiming Chaos on June 27th 2025 via Inverse Records. The first single, album’s title track, “Reclaiming Chaos” is unleashed today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/indemon-reclaiming 

The band comments: 
“Reclaiming Chaos, the title track closer, is the album’s fastest song. The chaotic atmosphere consists of sharp playing and aggressive vocals. The song is about taking control of a bad-turned-worse situation with mental strength and without outside interference.” 

BIOGRAPHY:
INDEMON is a four-piece metal band formed in 2020 in Kerava, Finland. Drawing influences from various subgenres of metal, they blend them uniquely to create a powerful and atmospheric sound. INDEMON‘s debut EP Fear of Living was released in 2022, showcasing the band’s ability to create intense and multifaceted metal.

The band’s lyrical themes explore fear, self-doubt, and inner struggles, immersing the listener into the music’s emotional world. INDEMON is known for their energetic live performances and distinctive music.

Ego Dissolution, the acclaimed debut album from Massachusetts-based cosmic death metal quartet ANCIENT DEATH, is now streaming in its consuming entirety, ahead of its release this Friday on Profound Lore Records.

Blending progressive and technical death metal with cosmic and lush atmospheres, ANCIENT DEATH creates a unique soundscape of introspection and growth. The band was formed in the summer of 2019 by bassist/vocalist Jasmine Alexander, guitarist Ray Brouwer (Matriphagy), and guitarist/vocalist Jerry Witunsky (Atheist), soon followed by drummer Derek Malone Moniz (Cruciamentum, Churchburn). Through their Sacred Vessel EP in 2022, the single “Glowing Auras” in 2023 (a split with Putridarium), and their Demo 2024 releases, the band has continued to expand and push the envelope of honesty and vulnerability.

Now, ANCIENT DEATH’s debut full-length album Ego Dissolution arrives, showcasing the band at their most fierce and creative thus far, further expanding on the atmospheres and mindfulness of their inner and outer worlds. 

Ego Dissolution was recorded and mixed by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets (The Body, Lightning Bolt, Full Of Hell), mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound (Leviathan, Krieg, Cruciamentum), and features cover art by Maegan LeMay (Morbosidad, Cirith Ungol, Iron Hand Tattoo).

The band states, “Ego Dissolution deals with the loss of oneself from positive and negative experiences. Our hope is to spread awareness of the connectivity between one another, embracing your individuality, and to let others know they aren’t alone.”
