Power metal visionaries INDUCTION continue their unstoppable rise with the release of the electrifying title track and video “Love Kills”, taken from their forthcoming studio album Love Kills!, due out February 6, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Feel the surge: “Love Kills” is a fierce anthem pulsing with raw emotion and unstoppable energy. The track captures both the pain and power of love’s downfall, celebrating the resilience that endures even after the flame seems to die. With soaring vocals, thunderous riffs, and cinematic emotion, “Love Kills” reminds us that even in the darkest moments, love’s light never truly fades.

Guitarist and Songwriter Tim Kanoa Hansen shares:

“Love Kills… but it’s never gonna die.’ This simple motto inspired most of Induction’s upcoming third album, which is why it became the title track. It’s deeply personal, full of raw emotion, but it also delivers a message of strength: life always goes on, and we are the masters of our own fate. No matter how dark the days, love will always return. As C. Joybell once wrote, ‘Love, I’m convinced, is found in the darkness. It’s the candle in the night.’”

Tim adds:
For me, this album carries a lot of raw and personal emotion. Life always moved forward, and even in the darkest times, love always found its way back. With LOVE KILLS! we explore the beauty and cruelty of love in a futuristic power metal context. It’s Induction at our biggest, boldest, and most fun yet.”

Following a storm of milestones, including a series of live dates supporting the legendary SAVATAGE, a frenetically acclaimed debut at Wacken Open Air, and the release of fan-favorite singles “Beyond Horizons” and “Dark Temptation,” INDUCTION are firing on all cylinders.

Crafted at Chameleon Studios and Boogie Park Studios in Hamburg, the album was produced by Tim Kanoa Hansen and mixed and mastered by Eike Freese in collaboration with the guitarist. Love Kills! marks the beginning of a new era for INDUCTION, defined by musical evolution, emotional depth, and a fearless drive to push the boundaries of modern power metal!

INGESTED – UK Death Metal Stalwarts Drop “Nefarious Tongues” Video/Single | Band To Kick Off North American Headlining Tour Next Month

UK death metal stalwarts, INGESTED, today drop their new stand-alone single: “Nefarious Tongues.”

Lyrically, the punishing track explores the decay of morality in a world consumed by vanity and self-interest. It reflects on the way society devours itself through ego and exploitation, as if we’re willingly feeding the very forces that will destroy us. It’s both a condemnation and a reminder of how easily we can lose sight of what truly matters.

Musically, it blends modern death metal riffing with hardcore-infused grooves, delivered at a measured mid-tempo that lets the riffs and drums breathe while giving space for the vocals to cut through with full impact. The structure stays tight and purposeful, building toward pointed, heavy-hitting moments that hit with absolute finality.

Stream/purchase the track at metalblade.com/ingested.

Alongside the release of “Nefarious Tongues,” INGESTED has launched a limited T-shirt designed around the single’s themes of moral decay and self-destruction. Featuring artwork by Rudi Gorgingsuicide, the piece captures the song’s bleak atmosphere; direct, unsettling, and grounded in the world it reflects.

It’s available now exclusively from the official INGESTED Indiemerchstore.

INGESTED’s latest single comes in advance of the band’s North American headlining tour. Evisceratour 2025 runs from November 6th in Fresno, California through December 6th in Pomona, California. Additional support will be provided by Distant, Ov Sulfur, Cell, and Crucifiction.

PISSING RAZORS – Return to the East Coast for the First Time Since 2003

Posted in groove metal, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , on October 23, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Texas Groove Metal Veterans Announce 7-Date Tour with Special Guests Single Bullet Theory and select dates with Byzantine

El Paso’s legendary groove metal pioneers PISSING RAZORS are set to make their long-awaited return to the East Coast for the first time in over two decades. The upcoming seven-date run marks their first appearance in the region since 2004, when the band was touring in support of their Spitfire Records release, Evolution.

Now, in 2025, the band returns to the East in support of their acclaimed 2021 album Eulogy Death March, a tour that’s not only highly anticipated by fans but also historic in nature. This lineup is the closest to the original Pissing Razors roster the band has had in years and features:

Joe Rodriguez – Vocals
Eddy Garcia – Drums
Mat Lynch – Guitar
Geo Gomez – Bass

The East Coast leg will feature direct support from Single Bullet Theory, the long-running East Coast metal force fronted by Matt DiFabio. DiFabio has strong ties to Pissing Razors himself, having played guitar on the 2003 tour supporting Evolution. Now, over 20 years later, the two camps reunite on the same stages once again.

Joe Rodriguez shared his thoughts on the tour’s significance:

“The return to the East Coast after over two decades would mark a significant milestone, not just as a tour to the area with our friends in Single Bullet Theory but a reconnection with the fans in regions we haven’t formally visited in a long time. It symbolizes the longevity of the band and our dedication to the groove metal scene, keeping the genre alive in new and legacy markets.

For long-time fans on the East Coast, it would be a nostalgic and emotional event, potentially the first chance to see the band live in nearly a generation. For the band, it’s an opportunity to re-establish our presence, maybe test new songs (like tracks from our 2021 album Eulogy Death March), and grow our audience geography beyond our Texas-heavy touring footprint.”

Eddy Garcia added:

It’s with great pleasure that we get to hit the East Coast for a few dates! We haven’t been that way since 2003! Many thanks to Matt and Single Bullet Theory! We look forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones! East Coast fans have always treated us well, and we look forward to playing all of these shows! Cheers!

Formed in the mid-’90s, Pissing Razors gained a reputation for relentless touring and uncompromising live shows. From the late ’90s through the early 2000s, the band seemed to live on the road, clocking in tours alongside Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, W.A.S.P., and select U.S. and European dates with Anthrax and NYHC legends Pro-Pain. Their impact helped shape the sound of American groove metal, influencing a new generation of heavyweights including Lamb of God and Gojira.

The upcoming East Coast tour promises to be a celebration of Pissing Razors’ legacy, a testament to their longevity, and a heavy reminder of their ongoing power and relevance in today’s metal scene.

PIssing Razors / Single Bullet Theory/ Byzantine:

10/31 – Richmond, VA. – Another Round
11/01 – Bensalem, PA. – Broken Goblet (with Byzantine)

CREATURES Release New Single & Video for “Beware The Creatures” OUT NOW! | New Album Creatures II Out November 14th, 2025!

Posted in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, heavy metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , on October 21, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

The new single “Beware the Creatures” is taken from CREATURES‘ 2025 album Creatures II, out on High Roller Records!

Get your LP / CD at: https://www.hrrecords.de/CREATURES

Watch “Beware the Creatures” (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) HERE

Creatures were originally formed in the summer of 2019 in the city of Curitiba. Like most places in Brazil, the scene there is dominated by extreme metal. However, there are some small “pockets of resistance” carrying the torch for more of a traditional heavy metal sound and Creatures (along with a group called Trovão) is one of the most talented of the lot.

After having issued a few singles, Bart Gabriel offered the band a deal to release their debut album from 2021 through his former label, Iron Oxide Records. The follow-up Creatures II is now due to be released on High Roller Records

Creatures II was recorded between September 2024 and March 2025 at Heavy Tron Studio, by Arthur Migotto (Hazy Hamlet). It was produced by Mateus Cantaleano and Migotto. Mateus Cantaleano wrote all the music and lyrics. The line-up on the recording was Marc Brito (vocals), Mateus Cantaleano (guitar), Ricke Nunes (bass), and Sidnei Dubiella (drums). There were also a few special guests, like Caio Vidal on keyboards and Arthur Migotto himself doing some additional vocals.

“Musically, I’d say the album is literally a mix of heavy metal and hard rock, with a darker, more evil vibe,” explains guitarist Mateus Cantaleano. “It carries what I believe is the essence of the band, dynamic songs that combine riffs with arpeggios, catchy choruses with darker minor melodies. Something like that, I think.”

Creatures were once described as a mixture of Dokken, Ratt and Judas Priest, a description Mateus Cantaleano can live with: “Absolutely, that’s true. Those bands, especially Dokken and Judas Priest, are very important in my life, and I carry their influence, even indirectly, in almost everything I do. Of course, I always aim for inspiration, not copying either of them exactly.”

Comparing Creatures I and Creatures II, the guitar player continues: “I’d say Creatures II is a bit heavier, darker, and a more mature album than its predecessor. While the first album was recorded just by me and Roberto, this time we had a full band involved. Both albums share the same essence – very dynamic songs, heavy tracks, power ballads, lots of vocal harmonies, catchy choruses, wild guitar solos, and so on. To me, ‘Beware The Creatures’ is the track that best sums up what I’m aiming for musically with Creatures.”

QUEMASANTOS – Teams Up With Guitarist Chris Irarrazábal of Chilean Thrash Legends NIMROD for “The Oneironaut”

Posted in Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 21, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

L-R – Ignacio Orellana (Bass/Guitars/Drums) | Nelson Diaz (Vocals)

The international metal project Quemasantos returns with a haunting new visual experience: the official lyric video for “The Oneironaut”, a track inspired by the 19th-century writings of Allan Kardec on journeys of the soul. In this modern reinterpretation, the band transforms those spiritual ideas into a nightmarish, inter-dimensional voyage that unfolds within the realm of dreams. The track features guest guitarist Chris Irarrazábal of Chilean thrash metal band Nimrod.

Add to your Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/track/0zVokpdf0F0YfK7gsixH9z

Nelson Díaz comments:

“It’s a song inspired by the 19th-century writings of Allan Kardec on what he called ‘journeys of the soul.’ Today, we could interpret it as a nightmarish vision of an interdimensional journey experienced during sleep.”

Ignacio Orellana adds:

“As we’ve been releasing one track after another, the sound has been evolving in search of what we truly want it to be. As the musician behind the music, it’s been challenging to balance the instruments so that each one shines, because each represents a part of the creator’s soul. I feel that this one leans a little more toward the drums’ side… but the bass, the bass. We’re preparing a few more surprises. Stay tuned and be ready to be surprised.”

Formed in the relentless underground of Santiago, Chile, NIMROD stands as one of the country’s pioneering thrash metal forces. Blending speed, aggression, and precision, the band has forged a sound rooted in classic ’80s thrash while pushing forward with a distinctly South American intensity.

Known for their explosive live shows and powerful songwriting, NIMROD has shared stages with both national legends and international acts, earning a loyal following across Latin America. With a catalog that captures decades of fury and evolution, the band continues to deliver pure, uncompromising metal, a testament to Chile’s enduring heavy scene.

TENEBRO – Italian Death Metal Horror Masters Unveil New Single “Impiccata”

Posted in Death Metal, death metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , on October 20, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Italian death metallers TENEBRO are set to unleash their new album Una Lama D’Argento on December 12th, 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

Continuing their morbid devotion to the putrid sounds of classic horror and old school death metal, the band promises another slab of grotesque heaviness. The record features a striking cover artwork created by Julian Ibanez, perfectly capturing the nightmarish essence and macabre storytelling that have become TENEBRO’s signature traits.

The first single “Impiccata” is available now:

YouTube: https://youtu.be/ojZep_CBW6M

Streaming: https://ffm.to/tenebro-impiccata

The band commented:

“The first single, ‘Impiccata’, strikes with relentless intensity: a fast, uncompromising track that mirrors the shocking imagery of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. Inspired by the infamous hanging scene, the song channels the sense of sudden, inescapable terror that erupts without warning. With its direct, no-frills approach, ‘Impiccata’ captures the essence of Tenebro’s sound: sharp, immediate, and merciless, like a blade cutting through silence”.

With their horrific and claustrophobic death metal, TENEBRO reaffirm themselves as one of the most uncompromising and distinctive acts in the Italian extreme underground, ready to push even further with this new work.

With “Una Lama D’Argento”TENEBRO take their most extreme and visionary step yet: an entire album conceived as a tribute to Dario Argento, the undisputed master of horror, giallo and thriller cinema.
Eleven tracks that are not just songs, but episodes of a single nightmare, a journey through the dark and obsessive atmospheres of the films that shaped cinema history: Deep Red (1975), Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980), Tenebre (1982), Phenomena (1985), and Opera (1987).

TENEBRO translate Argento’s universe into sound: riffs sharp as blades, guttural vocals emerging from the darkness, relentless drumming, and atmospheres shifting between pure violence and suffocating tension. Iconic scenes such as the mirror revealing the killer in Deep Red, the brutal mutilation in Tenebre, or the larva-filled bathtub finale in Phenomena are transformed into brutal, immersive sonic attacks, capturing the full horror and tension of the films.

Track-list:

1. Inferno
2. L’angelo Caduto Tra Le Luci Del Teatro
3. Impiccata
4. Sangue Sui Muri
5. Lo Specchio… Omicida.
6. Il Corpo Come Spartito
7. Piume Rosse
8. Appare ala Bambola, Poi La Lama
9. Larve Affamate
10. Nel Sonno Della Veggente
11. Jennifer

Preorders:

https://timetokillrecords.com/collections/tenebro-una-lama-dargento

https://tenebrohorror.bandcamp.com/album/tenebro-una-lama-dargento

As with every album, TENEBRO continue to evolve, introducing new symphonies, styles, and melodies, while remaining distinctly separate from the wider underground scene. Their music explores new horizons without ever betraying the pulsating heart that has always defined their sound: extreme, theatrical, and viscerally horror-driven.

In Una Lama D’Argento, TENEBRO do not merely evoke Argento’s universe: they embody it, rewriting his obsessions in Giallo Metal. It is an album that cuts, tears, and leaves no room for respite.
Una Lama D’Argento is not just an album: it is a sonic nightmare, a visceral tribute to the cinema that taught us to love fear.

Il Beccamorto – Bass, Drums, Guitars

FLAGMAN’s Before The Blast Is Out Now

Posted in alternative metal, avant-garde metal, Metal, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 18, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Alternative/avant-garde metal unit FLAGMAN has unleashed its newest EP, Before the Blast.

Based in Seattle and riddled with ADHD, FLAGMAN has carved out its own niche in the metal community with a sound best described as “the lovechild of Primus, Mike Patton, and System of a Down.”

Before the Blast is now streaming on BandcampSpotify and Apple Music.

Watch the official music video for the song “The Punishment Committee” at youtu.be/yn8LwucYoXA?si=pGCSmxwjyAxty9Tz.

Despite various lineup changes, touring challenges, and the many other hurdles that accompany bands in the modern age, FLAGMAN has spent the last 10 years living the ‘never say die’ mantra. The band has built a reputation based on a boundary-pushing approach to songwriting and explosive live performances, sharing the stage with acts such as Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Battles, Man On Man, Melvinator, Hed PE, and more.

With Before the Blast, the band leans heavily into the avant-garde tendencies, weaving angular riffs, manic rhythms, and industrial flair into an experience that is both urgent and unhinged.

Catch FLAGMAN live:
10/30 – Sacramento, CA @ The Starlet Room
11/1 – Palmdale, CA @ Transplants Brewing
11/2 – San Francisco, CA @ Bottom Of The Hill

EMBERS OF DAWN Releases “Eden Unknown” – a Dark Reflection on Emotional Disconnection in a Hyperconnected World

Posted in Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , on October 16, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Emerging from the shadows with ferocious intent, EMBERS OF DAWN delivers their most intense and emotionally charged track yet with “Eden Unknown.” The single marks the band’s first release from their forthcoming debut album, and showcases the group’s evolution into a darker, heavier and more immersive sonic territory.

From the first crushing riff, “Eden Unknown” hits with the force of a digital apocalypse. It is a visceral fusion of melodic death metal and cyber-metal, laced with gothic undertones that amplify the song’s mood of despair and transcendence. With Cliff Ross (guitars/programming), Scott Van Horn (bass/programming), and Kyle Sweeny (drums) at the helm, EMBERS OF DAWN crafts a sound that is both technically precise and emotionally raw.

The lyrics delve into themes of detachment, emotional numbness, and the search for authentic connection. Set in a world where people are digitally linked but emotionally absent, “Eden Unknown” paints a vision of a paradoxical paradise. It tells of a modern Eden that is cold, empty, and stripped of genuine feeling.

About EMBERS OF DAWN:

Formed in 2022, EMBERS OF DAWN is a genre-defying metal project born out of Jacksonville, Florida and Santa Barbara, California. The band blends elements of industrial, gothic, melodic death metal, and cyber-metal to create a sound that is both cinematic and punishing. Known for their thematic focus on alienation, modern decay, and emotional detachment, EMBERS OF DAWN delivers music that is as introspective as it is aggressive.

The band’s music features cold mechanical precision, layered with dark melodic textures, drawing influence from acts like PAIN, DARK TRANQUILLITY, MINISTRY, FEAR FACTORY, RAMMSTEIN, STATIC-X, ROB ZOMBIE, ARCH ENEMY, and TYPE O NEGATIVE.

Their upcoming debut album Infernal Culture features drums by ADRIAN ERLANDSSON (AT THE GATES, CRADLE OF FILTH, PARADISE LOST, THE HAUNTED), adding an explosive edge to their already dynamic sound.

PRIMORDIAL RITES Announce New EP ‘Contemplation Scriptures & The Swallowing Void’ for November 14th Release via Nameless Grave Records

Posted in Death Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 16, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Featuring members of Denial, Necroccultus, Foeticide, Black Torment, and For Centuries

Nameless Grave Records is proud to announce the upcoming worldwide release of Contemplation Scriptures & The Swallowing Void, the crushing new EP from Mexican Death Metal purveyors, PRIMORDIAL RITES. The EP is set for release on November 14th, 2025.

Born from the vision of Iván “Bloodhunter” (ex-Denial) in 2019, PRIMORDIAL RITES channels the cosmic dread of H.P. Lovecraft into a punishing sonic weapon. Their sound is rooted in the foundational grit of 90’s death metal while incorporating the abyssal intensity of contemporary acts like Grave Miasma and Dead Congregation, forging a unique sound that is brutally effective.

To give listeners a first taste of the encroaching void, the band arrives with an assault: the first single and music video, “The Calamitous Void (After the Gates of Yoth),” today exclusively on the Nameless Grave Records YouTube channel.

The release follows a successful period of cultivating a strong live presence in Mexico, with PRIMORDIAL RITES having shared stages with international forces like General Surgery, Perdition Temple, and Sadistic Intent.

NEMOROUS Announce New Album – What Remains When Hope Has Failed

Posted in Black Metal, black metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 15, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Full-length out November 21 on Bindrune Recordings

The wait for the full-length follow-up to the promising debut EP from England’s NEMOROUS is nearly over! Four years after the debut EP, the band has finally returned with a six-track atmospheric black metal experience titled What Remains When Hope Has Failed

Listen to the album teaser here.

Follow NEMOROUS on Spotify.

Bindrune Records will release What Remains When Hope Has Failed on CD, vinyl and digital formats on November 21.

Track-list:
1) The Wyrm at World’s End
2) This Rotten Bough
3) Sky Avalanche
4) Quiescence
5) Bereft Part 2
6) What Remains When Hope Has Failed

Formed from the ashes of Wodensthrone, NEMOROUS carry the torch of atmospheric English black influenced metal proudly, but it’s not the main driving force behind them. The vision is far more expansive and eclectic. With their debut self-titled EP, they have proven that the twisting melodies and fog-like aura they create with their sound indeed harkens back to their past musical conquests, yet progression is a core tenet as it walks hand in hand with rich melodies and a fierce sense of aggressive tradition.

NEMOROUS:
Phil Heckles – Bass
Ian Finley – Drums
Michael Blenkarn – Guitars
Alexandra Durning – Keyboards
Rob Hindmarsh – Guitars
Nick Craggs – Vocals

What Remains When Hope Has Failed is four years in the making and finds the band emerging victorious from a line-up change, where Chris Walsh (Vocals/Guitars) was replaced by Nick Craggs (Vocals – Vacivus/Neolithic) and Rob Hindmarsh on second guitar. Now as sextet, the band dove into the music for their first full-length reinvigorated, and it shows in the album’s composition.

What Remains When Hope Has Failed is a dynamic and emotional journey where quiet musical passages draw the listener in with vulnerability and beautiful, clean guitar arrangements that feel like Fields of the Nephilim at their most post-apocalyptic, only to build with reflective, melancholic mids, before exploding with blasting ferocity.

From subtle, yet expansive synth textures, complex drum work that never loses grasp on a powerful feel/swing, it all strengthens the overall impact of this album with colorful dynamics and a songwriting characteristic which can certainly be traced back to the early days of Wodensthrone.

BLACK SEA OF TREES – Premiere New Single “A Red Dawn”

Posted in Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 15, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Traversing a forlorn sense of powerlessness juxtaposed with a ferocious intensity, “A Red Dawn” offers a commentary on human behavior throughout history as well as a search one’s sense of self. The Australian progressive metal quartet BLACK SEA OF TREES are beginning their journey to unleash the second album Cult of the Sun.

The band comments on “A Red Dawn”

“The lyrics illustrate the protagonist’s stagnant situation before being confronted by the sun god’s providence. The protagonist makes a covenant with the sun god, offering themselves in return for power to destroy their enemies and the creation of a new kingdom. The song ends with the protagonist destroying the temples of the old gods and the slaughter of those that upheld that religion.”

Listen HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idz1IdVrQKg

BLACK SEA OF TREES:
Samuel Exton – Vocals/Guitar
Jan Schotting – Drums
Francesco Adami – Bass
Chris Schwinghamer – Lead Guitar

About BLACK SEA OF TREES:
Based out of Melbourne and Victoria in Australia, the progressive metal ensemble composes their music around the narrative of their releases. BLACK SEA OF TREES formed in 2018. The debut album, The Spiritual Beast, materialized in the spring of 2023. The band’s forthcoming sophomore full-length is an exploration of spirituality, folklore and philosophy, with death metal, folk and ambient elements incorporated into the soundscapes.

“A Red Dawn” marks the beginning of this next chapter for BLACK SEA OF TREES, introducing this next album’s concept: the protagonist is chosen by god to overthrow an old kingdom in a spiritual revolution. It’s a narrative that is heavily influenced by the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, Akhenaten and his life’s journey.

BLACK SEA OF TREES brings to life their themes and concepts through dark atmospheric tones, strong full voiced melodies, falsetto and deep growls. With songs ranging from intense 8 minute long walls of sound to 3 minute atmospheric/acoustic passages, BLACK SEA OF TREES draw inspiration from the likes of OPETH, KATATONIA, CULT OF LUNA, RUSSIAN CIRCLES, and KARNIVOOL. A wide array of styles is entwined into the outfit’s distinctive and compelling sound.
