SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 2, 2014 – Faith No More, who reunited in 2009 for a series of sold out performances and international festivals, is currently recording their first full-length album since 1997’s Album of the Year.
A limited edition (5000 copies) 7-inch single of the song “Motherfucker” will precede the April 2015 release, available via Record Store Day’s Black Friday event (Nov. 28). The single will be released digitally on Dec. 9.
“We’ve always shared a chemistry between ourselves that’s unique to this band, but these past few years of touring together have made us aware that we not only play better as a unit, but we like the new stuff we’re coming up with,” explained Faith No More founder and bass player, Bill Gould, who also spoke with Rolling Stone in more detail:(http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/faith-no-more-to-release-first-album-in-18-years-plot-u-s-tour-20140902). “So we’ve decided: we’re going to get busy in 2015…make an album we’re proud of, kick things up a notch, get out there and perform it and maybe even dedicate a little more focus to our fans in the States this time.”
The as-of-yet untitled album is being recorded in an Oakland, Calif. studio with Gould handling production. The release will be the first from Faith No More’s newly formed imprint, Reclamation Recordings, which will be distributed by Ipecac Recordings.
Prior to the new album’s release, Faith No More will headline Australia’s Soundwave Festival in February 2015. Worldwide tour dates will be announced soon.

Prog Metal outfit THIRD ION, featuring former members of THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND and INTO ETERNITY, have announced a string of dates that will see the band hitting six Canadian cities later this month.

THIRD ION is the product of a mutual love of prog, video games, and science. New Orleans’ favorite metal legion, GOATWHORE, will embark upon another bout of live headlining invasions next month. Set to launch in Houston on September 15th, the band will trounce fourteen cities including five shows supporting Death Rock/Horror Punk legends, Samhain!
In November, GOATWHORE will bring their sadistic anthems overseas for a European incursion with headliners Dying Fetus. The extended trek embarks on November 8th in Liege, Belgium, and will march through nearly four dozen metropolises, coming to a close on December 20th in Leer, Germany.

Ohio’s DISMEMBERMENT are pleased to announce that they will be releasing a reissue of their EP’s The Condemned and Denied Salvation on a single compact disc.The reissue is slated to arrive this winter via Horror Pain Gore Death Productions.

Michigan City, Indiana’s own Sludge/Stoner band YELLOWTOOTH is preparing to hit the studio in September to record Crushed By The Wheels of Progress, the follow-up to the band’s 2012 debut album Disgust.
The album will be released through Orchestrated Misery Recordings. The band has eight songs ready to be sent into the audio stratosphere. Song titles include “Before I Return to Dust,” “The Spiral Stairs,” “Meet Mr. Mossberg,” “Climbing the Mountain,” “Manifesto,” and “Season’s End.”
Guitarist/vocalist Henry McGinnis commented on the new material:
“We haven’t really changed our writing style since the debut came out, but refined it a bit to suit our needs. Having been together since 2008 it’s just a natural progression of who we are. The songs are still very heavy, and some parts still have the southern flair we have grown to enjoy since the beginning.”

On September 30, Portland Death Metal act SEMPITERNAL DUSK will release their highly anticipated full-length on Dark Descent Records.
After a vicious demo assault in 2012, the band is set to make their presence known across the underground with this self-titled,five track, forty-seven minute affair. If you like doom in your Death Metal, SEMPITERNAL DUSK will be most pleasing to your taste.
SEMPITERNAL DUSK emerged after the demise of WARWOLVES in 2009, with J.Huss switching from bass to guitar and T. Call again behind the kit. The duo began writing, focusing on abyssal atmosphere and primal instincts to guide their doomed Death Metal. In 2011 they recorded a two-song demo with J.Huss recording all guitars and bass and T. Call on drums and vocals. Their demo spread and caught the attention of Dark Descent, who inked a deal with the band for release of a full-length.
The band also contributed a one-minute track, “Beneath the Emblems of Death” to the MONOMANIAC VOL. 1 7 released by Blastbeat Mailmurder from Greece. This would be the last song recorded as a duo. The decision was then made to fill out the lineup and become a live band. T. Gann of SHROUD OF THE HERETIC joined on bass and A. Wheeler of WEREGOAT/RITUAL NECROMANCY joined on second guitar.
The first live ritual occurred in February of 2013 along with VASSAFOR and KNELT ROTE. In August 2013 they entered Red Lantern Studios in Portland, OR to record their debut full length. SEMPITERNAL DUSK, now a three-piece, will be performing a few select live rituals this fall in support of their album release, then entering the studio in late September to begin recording their side of an upcoming split with Seattle’s OLD SKIN.

Through many months of the Worldwide Plagues Tour I was suffering from a loss of coordination in my hands, numbness, and intense levels of pain. It was a battle every night onstage and it reached a critical point where the cervical fusion had to happen, sooner rather than later. I am happy to report that so far things are going very well in my recovery, and I expect it to stay on this path. We are in the planning stages of our next US tour, and that will very likely take place this winter. So, before you know it we’ll be back on the warpath, and before long, songwriting will commence, and another chapter of Iced Earth history will be in the making. There will be lots of updates in the coming months. We are forging the attack as I am recovering from surgery. The boys and I are ready to get back out there ASAP to lay down the metal!

A one-man project of Chris Balch, Nostril Caverns play a strange fusion of death, black, grind, mathrock, prog and free improv. Fans of more experimental music such as Mr. Bungle should love the bizarre music of Nostril Caverns.
Sussex quintet Subservience have been gathering a great reputation across their native UK and beyond with their corrosive blend of groove laden Extreme Metal since forming in 2010. Having already released a demo ‘Blueprint To Chaos’ in 2010, a split with Sa-da-KO in 2011 and two crushing EP’s ‘Dystopia’ and ‘Ripped In Half’ in 2012 and 2013 respectively; Subservience are right on queue and are set to unleash yet another beast of a record.
‘Upheaval’, recorded at Brighton Electric, is the title of the band’s forthcoming EP and is set for release on 17th October 2014. The track listing is as follows.

Speaking of ‘Upheaval’, which the band claim is their heaviest effort to date, guitarist Ryan Jardine comments: “Previously our lyrics had been firmly based on reality but now, with our new vocalist [Dan Lofthouse], we have taken inspiration from works of fiction and combined this with real life experiences. Musically, we really wanted to expand on everything we’ve done before, to push ourselves further and add more technicality, yet making sure we didn’t lose the all-important groove people know us for. Everyone in the band has been fully involved with the new material. We all have a vast range of influences and it’s just been about bringing this all together.”
Drawing influence from the classic Death Metal bands of yesteryear as well as the recent breed of modern greats you will find no self-indulgent displays here; Subservience have put on a stage show that certainly pulls no punches. Brimming over with concentrated fury and a taste for chaos, they have been met with a great reception amongst their ever-growing fan base. Their live show has earned them a reputation as one of the heaviest bands on the south coast, and has rewarded them with slots at Download Festival 2013 and Hammerfest III, as well as sharing bills with underground heavyweights Blood Red Throne, Xerath, Mortad, Bloodshot Dawn, Hour of Penance, Demonic Resurrection, Flayed Disciple and Eye of Solitude.
The latest ragin’ persuasion from St. Louis-based awesome party squad, CROSS EXAMINATION, broke out onto the streets this week in the form of Dawn Of The Dude, the EP jacked on some of the band’s most insane circle pit fuel yet.
Their latest high-octane thrash/hardcore output closing a six-year gap between releases, CROSS EXAMINATION comes out flailing and impaling with the Dawn Of The Dude EP, its seven new tracks barely hitting the thirteen-minute mark and packing more balls and bong-rips than virtually any comparable contemporary groups. Your brains will simply leak from your blown-open ear canals as you bang your head’s filler into fluid to the perpetually rabid beats, the material featuring even more rasping, schizoid/hyper vocals and a pummeling crusty edge.

Top 10 Billboard charting Metal legion, WHITECHAPEL, will be returning to the road this Fall! In their interview with Phil Bozeman, Alternative Press declares, “WHITECHAPEL put in a lot of blood and sweat to maintain their furious reputation,” and that work will continue on October 10th when their next North American headlining tour commences. The trek features support from Upon A Burning Body and Glass Cloud and includes a stop at Slipknot’s KNOTFEST 2014 on October 26th in San Bernardino, CA. Tickets for WHITECHAPEL’s headlining incursion will be on sale on Saturday, August 23rd at 10am local time for each show.
WHITECHAPEL will be touring in support of their Our Endless Warfull-length issued in April via Metal Blade Records. KAINE are excited to announce that they have been added as last-minute support to Mordred’s tour of Britain/Ireland. The band was offered the slot after original openers Furyon had to cancel.
KAINE will be having a change of personnel for the tour as guitarist Anthony Murch will not be able to take up his duties due to work commitments. Anthony will however be playing the London date with the band. Saxon Davids (Entropy) will be playing lead guitar for the band on the tour. Davids had two days and one rehearsal to get ready for this tour which was only offered to the band and confirmed on Monday.
