About Verde Valley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:
The Verde Valley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu studio, located at 1100 S. AZ-260 in Cottonwood, Arizona, was founded by Maynard James Keenan. The academy offers a wide range of classes for all ages and experience levels, with a mission to preserve and share the fundamentals of martial arts. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, much like life itself, is a journey – a path filled with obstacles that are worth overcoming. It’s a journey of self-discovery. Verde Valley BJJ was established to serve as a starting point for those journeys, for self-defense, competitive sport, and physical, mental, and spiritual development.

AGAINST I was founded in 2022 by Fredrik Keith Croona, known as vocalist and founder of Cynical Existence and ex-vocalist of Menschdefekt. Together with Mathias Back (guitars) and Anders Ström (drums), they fuse elements of metal and hints of electronic parts into a cacophony of aggression and melodies.
In 2023 the band released their debut album Carnival of Excess on Advoxya Records. 2024 saw the release of two EPs, Perfect Smile and the follow-up Destruction Lullaby, which took the band in an entirely new direction.

Boston (MA) – U.S. Doom-Tinged Heavy Metal outfit, The Watcher, has released Out of the Dark on Cruz Del Sur Music. The band’s first full-length album is available now on CD, vinyl, and digital formats! Fans of Iron Maiden, Trouble, and Satan should take note!
The 2021 release of The Watcher’s debut Your Turn to Die EP was the culmination of delays, false starts and good, old-fashioned patience. The 2016 creation of guitarist/bassist Max Furst, The Watcher was not intended to have such a prolonged gestation for its first release into the metal world, but the wait proved to be worth it.
Physical copies of Your Turn to Die sold out upon its release, signaling to Furst, vocalist Paden Reed and drummer Chris Spraker that there would be demand for their distinctive brand of NWOTHM with elements of doom. Alas, that moment has arrived in the form of the eight-song “Out of the Dark.”
Out of the Dark was recorded in the autumn months of late 2023 with engineer Sasha Stroud at Artifact Audio in Maspeth, Queens, New York. The Watcher went to great lengths to ensure that the songs worked within the context of the album format with an organic flow of ideas and intentional peaks and valleys to ensure listener engagement. As a result, Out of the Dark expands on what The Watcher started on Your Turn to Die. From urgent, heads-down ‘bangers to festival-ready chorus all the way to the climactic closing track, “Thy Blade, Thy Blood,” the band’s growth is readily apparent.
The Watcher will be gigging around the East Coast and parts of Canada in support of Out of the Dark (ex-Malleus guitarist Nelson Ribas and Demon Chrome guitarist Dylan Kulpa have since completed The Watcher’s live lineup.) More importantly, the band hopes to arrive on European shores sometime in the near future. For the present, though, Out of the Dark emerges as a compelling LP that unifies classic metal and the darkness of doom, fortified through the spirit of three metallic diehards who never say die.
HELLOWEEN are turning up the heat as they gear up for their monumental 40th anniversary world tour in 2025/2026 and tease a brand-new studio album! But before diving into the next chapter, the metal legends are giving their fans one last epic thrill from their chart-topping self-titled album with the release of Live At Budokan on December 13, 2024 (RPM).
Today, they’ve unleashed a blistering live version of “Save Us,” a track that catapults us back to their groundbreaking Keeper Of The Seven Keys era – a defining moment in their storied career. This electrifying single forges a powerful bridge between their glorious past and their unstoppable present. Get ready, Pumpkins United fans – this is just the beginning!
Bassist Markus Grosskopf notes: “‘Save Us’ is unfortunately still relevant or more relevant than ever before. The natural disasters, our own ignorance, hardly any possibilities to escape from all threats – the song is a desperate plea for rescue…a heavy, but thought-provoking piece with crushing reality.”
Pre-order Live At Budokan in your preferred physical format [digipak-2CD, 3LP (limited “deluxe edition” first press in trifold), Blu-ray, DVD], pre-save it on your favourite digital service provider (DSP), or pre-order the album digitally to receive “Save Us (live),” “Eagle Fly Free (live)” and “Best Time (live)” instantly: https://helloween.rpm.link/liveatbudokanPR
Nearly five years after the release of #13, Swiss rockers GOTTHARD are making a powerful comeback with their highly anticipated new album, Stereo Crush, set to release on March 21, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).
To mark the announcement, the band has unveiled their latest single, “Boom Boom“. This high-energy anthem not only celebrates the album announcement but also offers a dynamic preview of the signature sound fans can expect from Stereo Crush.
Guitar duo Leo Leoni and Freddy Scherer ignite the track with heavy riffs that haven’t been heard in the GOTTHARD realm for quite some time. The remarkable rhythm section, powered by bassist Marc Lynn and drummer Flavio Mezzodi, propels the Swiss express forward with relentless energy, while frontman Nic Maeder masterfully commands the journey through hard rock territory with his powerful and charismatic vocals. Building up to an irresistibly catchy chorus, it’s clear to all that this is a new GOTTHARD classic in the making.
Leo Leoni explains the personal meaning of the song: “I wrote it when I found out that we were expecting a child. The birth of my son Gabriel was a moment that completely changed my life. When I hold him in my arms, look into his eyes or see his smile, I feel an indescribable love and deep gratitude. This song is my way of expressing all these feelings for him.”
Produced and mixed by long-time partner Charlie Bauerfeind, who’s known for his work with the likes of HELLOWEEN and BLIND GUARDIAN, alongside founding member Leo Leoni at Yellowhouse Studio, and mastered by Sascha “Busy” Bühren (TrueBusyness), Stereo Crush promises to set new standards which will additionally come to shine on the band’s forthcoming touring cycle.
GOTTHARD will open it with a tour in May, accompanied by special guests Y&T, before the quintet head to select festivals as well as the stages of their home country at the end of 2025. The band’s current live schedule and ticket info can be found below!

Full Moon Haiku tour to visit Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands
Tour follows the release of new Ante-Inferno album Death’s Soliloquy
Album release show this Saturday in Manchester
In support of their latest album Death’s Soliloquy, UK black metal band Ante-Inferno will return to central Europe this December on a 10-date tour which will see them perform to audiences across five countries.
Fresh off the release of their critically acclaimed album, Ante-Inferno will descend upon Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, and the Netherlands, spreading their sonic darkness across the continent. Joining them on most dates is the German act Imha Tarikat, while select appearances will feature support from Ultima Necat.
The tour kicks off with a special UK album release show in Manchester on November 30th alongside Hulder. The Central European leg officially commences on 4th December in Munich, Germany, and continues through European cities until its conclusion on December 14th at Eindhoven Metal Meeting in the Netherlands.
ANTE-INFERNO FULL MOON HAIKU TOUR 2024 In Conspiracy with Imha Tarikat (*) & Ultima Necat (**)
Nov 30 – Manchester, UK (w/ Hulder) ** Dec 4 – Munich, Germany ** Dec 5 – Nuremberg, Germany ** Dec 6 – De Mortem Et Diabolum; Berlin, Germany * Dec 7 – Wintermelodei; Münster, Germany * Dec 8 – Erfurt, Germany * Dec 9 – Prague, Czech Republic – * ** Dec 10 – Vienna, Austria * Dec 11 – Wrocław, Poland * Dec 12 – Chemnitz, Germany * ** Dec 13 – Göttingen, Germany * Dec 14 – Eindhoven, Netherlands *
With Death’s Soliloquy, Ante-Inferno have delivered a malevolent hammer strike to the face of all who thought they would continue to mellow after the success of the atmospheric and otherworldly “Antediluvian Dreamscapes”. The album’s nightmarish cover art (from the masterful mind of Khaos Diktator Design), perfectly sums up the album’s sonic approach.
An ode to madness, mental illness, death obsession and unfettered suicidal despair, Death’s Soliloquy harnesses the bestial might of traditional black metal and intricately weaves it with the haunting majesty of the atmospheric sound the band is known for, and in doing so takes the listener on an anguished, hysterical descent into the blackened emptiness of the grave.
Death’s Soliloquy is available to order in physical formats from the band’s Bandcamp and Vendetta Records.
Onism Productions, Matriarch Records and Forbidden Keep Records have also prepared three special edition cassette versions of Death’s Soliloquy, which is available to order and will start shipping this week.

Founded in 2021 by bassist Stian Gundersen, CELESTIAL SCOURGE has already carved out a name for themselves with their relentless energy and unparalleled musicianship.

Boston’s PATHOGENIC is set to make a triumphant return with the release of Crowned in Corpses, a brutal and immersive display of progressive tech death. This marks their first full-length release in over half a decade, promising a bold evolution of their signature brand of progressive tech death, while retaining the intensity that has defined the band for years.
This is evident in the album’s first single, “Mass Grave Memory.” The band has partnered with Metal Injection for the exclusive premiere of the official music video for the song. Watch now at this location.
PATHOGENIC vocalist Jake Burns reveals the song’s lyrical themes:
“’Mass Grave Memory’ asks the ultimate question: what do we gain when we destroy everything? It’s a vivid portrayal of nuclear war’s aftermath — the searing light, the choking ash, and the silence of a world undone. Above all, it stands as a stark warning of what will await us if humanity loses control.”
Skepsis Recordings will release Crowned in Corpses on February 7, 2025. Pre-order the album now at:
Track-listing: 1) Mass Grave Memory 2) The New Rot 3) Dead But Not At Rest 4) Exiled from the Abyss 5) Fragments 6) Crowned in Corpses 7) Drag Your Crosses 8) Silicon Regime
Out of Boston’s depths emerges PATHOGENIC, a force unshackled from hiatus and reborn with Crowned in Corpses. Over 42 punishing minutes, this progressive death metal quintet weaves together labyrinthine riffs, relentless rhythms, and chilling visions of a decaying world.
In 2022, the band’s resurgence was ignited when original vocalist Jake Burns and new drummer Tyler Montaquila joined forces with guitarists Chris Gardino, Justin Licht, and bassist Dan Leahy. Together, they’ve forged a sound that is ferocious, intricate, and unapologetically heavy, delivering metal that demands to be heard.
PATHOGENIC has shared stages with legends like Suffocation, Revocation, and The Faceless, and has annihilated crowds at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival and RPM Fest. Known for their high-octane live performances, the band’s energy and command leave audiences with no choice but to headbang furiously.
Set to release on February 7, 2025, through Skepsis Recordings, Crowned in Corpses is a ferocious musical declaration: eight tracks of devastating power and haunting warnings of the darkness that lies ahead.
Australian Death Metal brutes, GUTLESS, have released their debut album, High Impact Violence! The album is available on CD and digital formats via Dark Descent Records. Me Saco Un Ojo is handling vinyl treatment. The cassette edition is available through both labels. Purchase/stream at the following links:
GUTLESS gave us one of 2018’s filthiest demos. Two years later, we saw a split release with Mortal Wound. Now, six years after that demo, we are finally getting the debut album. Strap in; this one is going to be nauseating…
Instantly they cave in your skull with maniacal riffing and unrelenting drum assaults. If you can’t withstand the might of Death Metal, turn back fast. The equally violent vocal attack will seal the deal as the insanity creeps further into the cemetery, searching for prey.
GUTLESS has that perfect blend of old-school savagery while retaining their personality and sound that doesn’t feel like a diluted version of a superior band. Snap-neck rhythms and visceral grinding warfare will certainly have even the seasoned maniac tearing at their flesh in morbid ecstasy as this short but sweet opus erupts pus into their ear canal.
If you need more convincing, take a look at that cover art; reminiscent of the 90s while striking in its own right. You had better believe the album is just as damaging as that brick. Contorting and convulsing into tormenting visions of the macabre, GUTLESS contradicts their name by dragging out your entrails repeatedly across eight indomitable cuts of sadism and brutality. The underground still has plenty of bite down under and these fiends proudly showcase one of the nastiest examples you will hear this year!”
Track Listing:
Bashed And Hemorrhaging

Scalpel Obsession
Avalanche Of Viscera

Napalm Death are credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre by incorporating elements of crust punk and death metal, using a noise-filled sound that uses heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdrive bass, high-speed tempos, blast beats, and vocals that consist of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks.
Their music features extremely short songs, fast tempos, and sociopolitical lyrics. Even after exerting an indelible influence on the entire world of heavy music for nearly 40 years, there is still no band on Earth that sounds like Napalm Death. Not just pioneers, but an enduring benchmark for invention and fearlessness in a heavy and experimental music of all kinds, the Birmingham legends are still hurtling forward at full pelt.

The Melvins are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington, the group – founded by vocalist/guitarist Buzz Osborne, with drummer Dale Crover joining a year later – has been credited with merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music, forming a new subgenre all their own. Over their 40-plus-year career, they’ve released more than 30 original albums, numerous live records, and far too many to count singles and rarities.
Recent releases include 2024’s Tarantula Heart, an album that Osborne wrote songs based on a series of improvisational live sessions, the six-song 2022 Bad Mood Rising, and Five Legged Dog (2021), an ambitious 36-track acoustic collection that reimagines their heaviest songs alongside covers of their favorite artists.
