With “Leave It All Behind“, SINNER present the next single from their upcoming and final studio album, Boom Bang Goodbye, set for release on July 31, 2026, via RPM. The track begins with the atmosphere of a classic power ballad and gradually builds in intensity before culminating in a soaring, anthemic refrain. Combining ’80s-inspired melodies with a powerful modern sound, the song brings the kind of emotional dynamics that hard rock fans have always cherished.

Mat Sinner comments:
“As a child of the 80s, this song fits perfectly into the soundscape I envisioned. 80s vibes and an ultra-fat, modern sound. Groovy, driving. It was a blast to make this song. My friend Ronnie Romero really outdid himself. What an incredible vocal performance, hats off to him!”

The accompanying video perfectly complements “Leave It All Behind”. Alongside Ronnie Romero and Mat Sinner, it features Alex Scholpp, Jim Müller, Leonie Jakobi, Sascha Krebs, as well as Thalia Bellazecca and André Hilgers (PRIMAL FEAR). Together, the performance footage captures exactly what “Leave It All Behind” is all about – emotion, energy and the visible joy of making music together.

Lyrically, “Leave It All Behind” looks back on times gone by while dealing with memories, transience and the act of letting go. Lines such as “Do you remember our wild days?” and “I leave it all behind” give the song a reflective touch without losing sight of what lies ahead.

With Ronnie Romero on vocals, “Leave It All Behind” delivers a fierce impact. His passionate performance carries the emotive tension between the calmer moments of the verses and the energetic peaks of the song, adding a fiery quality to the sound.

Once again, the album’s core musicians, Ronnie Romero (lead & backing vocals), Mat Sinner (bass & vocals), Alex Scholpp (guitars & lead guitars), Lisa Müller (keyboards) and Moritz Müller (drums), leave their unmistakable mark.

Following “Wait”, featuring Michael Bormann on vocals, “Leave It All Behind” is another taste of Boom Bang Goodbye; the final chapter of an extraordinary career. After more than four decades, 19 studio albums and countless international tours, Mat Sinner and his longtime companions are preparing one final musical statement.

Boom Bang Goodbye will be released on July 31, 2026, and can be pre-ordered here: https://sinner.rpm.link/boomPR

BIO:

GUNDRIVER is a modern metal project engineered for impact and built by seasoned musicians who understand both the craft and the cost of doing it right. Combining elite-level talent with a deliberate, no-compromise approach, the band is positioned to cut through an increasingly crowded heavy music landscape.

At the core of the project is founding members Tom Potter and Alex Rivas, who drive the vision, direction, and execution of GUNDRIVER as both a band and a broader creative platform.

The band’s name refers to attack helicopter pilots, drawing from Potter’s experience as a U.S. Army combat veteran who flew Apache helicopters.

The lineup features internationally recognized vocalist Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Elegant Weapons), whose commanding voice brings both melody and force to the band’s sound, while bassist Rev Jones (Michael Schenker, Leslie West, Paul Gilbert) anchors the low end with decades of professional touring and recording experience.

GUNDRIVER’s music is defined by massive riffs, tight arrangements, and a tone that blends classic heavy metal influence with modern aggression. Lyrically and thematically, the band leans into confrontation, challenging listeners rather than accommodating them.

With releases like “Give War a Chance,” GUNDRIVER signals its intent clearly: this is not passive listening. It’s a direct, high-volume statement.

Operating independently through its own infrastructure, the band maintains full creative control, allowing it to move faster, push harder, and deliver music without dilution.

GUNDRIVER is a band built on chemistry, vision, and a record that speaks for itself.

RONNIE ROMERO “Raised On Metal Radio” Covers Album Releases On January 27, 2023

Posted in classic rock, Hard Rock, hard rock music, Heavy Metal, heavy metal albums, Metal, metal albums, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , , , on December 17, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Ronnie Romero has announced the upcoming release of ‘Raised On Heavy Radio’, a companion album of sorts to his first covers album, “Raised On Radio”, on January 27, 2023. This time out, Romero pays tribute to legendary artists from the metal world like Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, Metallica, and more. Special guests on the album include Gus G. (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Spirits Of Fire), Roland Grapow (Masterplan, Helloween), and more.

Romero’s voice and prolific musical activity have brought him to the forefront of the hard rock/metal scene where he can be seen/heard with Lords of Black, The Ferrymen, Sunstorm, Rainbow, and the Michael Schenker Group. Through his work fronting these acts, it is no stretch to see how the artists covered on this album have influenced Romero and understand how his voice is well suited to give them a proper tribute.

Ambitious and driven as always, this record is another special treat for fans while Romero continues work on his proper debut solo album of original material. Romero’s first solo covers album, “Raised On Radio”, featured covers of classics that meant something special to Romero over the years and helped forge this talented singer’s musical style. Songs by legendary acts like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more were given Romero’s talented vocal treatment. These classic rock and AOR covers showcased a different side of Romero’s musical influences and were executed with passion, charisma, and power. Now, with this second installment of covers, “Raised On Metal Radio”, Romero showcases his love of metal music, for which he is more widely known.

Through Romero’s career thus far, he has performed killer renditions of several rock and metal classics as part of his shows fronting legendary acts like Rainbow and the Michael Schenker Group (MSG). He’s also covered classic songs by Journey, Queen, Rainbow, and more with Spanish metallers Lords Of Black. So, with trying his hand at covers by legendary artists being familiar territory already, both cover albums were waters that Romero was comfortable wading into.

“Raised On Metal Radio” Tracklisting:
The Battle Rages On (Deep Purple cover)
Metal Daze (Manowar cover)
