Archie Meets KISS – Comic Book Is Out Now!

This is the Archie Meets KISS comic book that was released on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011. This is issue #627 and it sells for $2.99 (U.S.). The complete title of this comic is Archie Meets Kiss Part 1: Riverdale Rock City. The story for this comic was written by Alex Segura. Other credits: penciler – Dan Parent and Inker – Rich Koslowski.

I haven’t purchased this comic yet. Being the KISS Kollector that I am, it is inevitable that I will hunt this comic down this weekend. It’s not a pricey KISS Kollectible either and that makes it all the more attractive in adding it to my KISS Kollection.

My late sister used to collect Archie comic books (when she was a kid) like there was no tomorrow. Man, I can vividly remember her listening to KISS Double Platinum with me, back when the 70’s were coming to a close. She would have gotten quite a kick out of seeing this Archie Meets KISS comic. I’m certain she is still seeing it though, from where she is. Metal be thy name.

THE PROPHECY 23 – Announces New Lineup

Rearmament of THE PROPHECY 23. The new weapons: MARIO (Bass) and PHIL (Death Vocals).

THE PROPHECY 23 is already presenting two new members while one or two are still speculating about the replacement of Tobias: MARIO MACARONI is following the 23rd Prophecy as their new bassist and PHIL HECKEL will unite his rough Death Vocals with the Thrash Vocals of Hannes to a powerful unit. The new guys already showed their unruly live-action during the “Tour The Pit 2010”, when they already stepped in for Tobias. Now they are officially in!

Hannes: “Phil and Mario are two extraordinary action-guys! After the shock of Tobias’ quit, we immediately realized who should be the replacement. Everything blends seamlessly into one another. We are currently working very hard and we almost have finished all our songs for the next record. More on this later.”

THE FORSAKEN – Signs To Massacre Records

Following some years of silence, the Swedish Death Metal outfit THE FORSAKEN is back and has signed a new European deal with us!

Since winter 2010 guitarist Calle Fäldt (ex-Deranged, Feared Creation) is a full-time member of the band, replacing Stefan Holm. He is a perfectly adjusted wheel in the machinery of THE FORSAKEN, fitting perfectly both in his string execution and in the band’s chemistry.

With a complete line-up once again, THE FORSAKEN are ready to unleash destruction upon the masses once more!

The new, fourth album is taking form and is scheduled to be released in spring 2012.

A Metal band that’s led by their lead vocalist of the same name: LIZZY BORDEN. You want to listen to a real Metal album? Then go buy or trade for their 1986 sophomore release: Menace To Society. It’s a Metal classic. It’s an essential Metal album in the history of Metal music.

If you are salivating for a potent dose of real Metal, this album will kick your Metal lovin’ ass to kingdom come. No, not the band Kingdom Come. (Lenny Wolf and his band F’n Rocks by the way). Um, back to LIZZY BORDEN. Look, their entire catalog kicks monumental Metal ass… I’m only recommending Menace To Society for the simple fact that I can’t stop playing it for the last few months.

BLOODDYY MAARRRYYY!

Call it Menace To Society dependence, call it what you will. I’m only calling out this tremendous Metal album of yesteryear to bring attention to what quality, real Metal sounds like. Here’s my review for Menace To Society: it kicks F’n Metal ass. Okay? Now, if you want to treat yourself right with a Metal purchase, I’m strongly suggesting you go out and get Menace To Society and thank the Metal Gods that LIZZY BORDEN created this album and are still kickin’ Metal ass to this very day. Metal be thy name.
