Scion A/V Sponsoring Spring U.S. Tour

Feb. 23, Torrance, Calif. — Scion A/V has partnered with the Melvins for an EP titled Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees, a five-song collection that marks the band’s first original material since their 2010 album The Bride Screamed Murder. The release will be available as a free download on Mar. 13 via Scion A/V’s website (www.scionav.com). The Melvins formed in 1983, kicking off what would be a seismic shift in heavy music and focusing the epicenter of modern music firmly on the Pacific Northwest for the next decade plus.The band blended Punk, Metal and Hard Rock to create a new subgenre that has been tagged with a variety of labels including Sludge, Grunge and Doom and won a cult of fans that have yet to waiver some twenty-nine years into the band’s career. Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover have been the band’s constants (Crover joined in 1984) with Big Business’ Jared Warren and Coady Willis joining the band in 2006 for (A) Senile Animal.

“The Melvins have remained such a consistent presence in heavy music,” says Jeri Yoshizu, manager of sales promotions for Scion. “It’s an honor to have them create an original release for Scion A/V.”

ACCEPT – Unveil Title Track From ‘STALINGRAD’ For The Metal World To Hear!

The title track to ACCEPT’s new album Stalingrad – due out on April 6th in Europe and April 10th in North America – is available for listening in its entirety on the band’s YouTube channel.

The follow-up album to the runaway success of 2010’s Blood Of The Nations, Stalingrad’s eleven tracks were once again produced by Andy Sneap and are filled to capacity with everything that made ACCEPT famous: exceptional songwriting, soaring guitar solos, a propelling dual-guitar attack, a no-holds-barred rhythm section and chanted background vocals. Every track is destined to become a live anthem!

Guitarist Wolf Hoffman has previously stated: “We put ourselves under enormous pressure to bring out a new album right after our 180-show tour marathon, which took us two times around the globe. But we are very proud about what we delivered with Stalingrad and we hope our fans will like it as well”.

ACCEPT will be touring throughout Europe with NWOBHM label mates Hell this April and also performing in Russia.

ENEMY REIGN – Denver Death Metallers Complete New Record

Denver Death Metal horde, ENEMY REIGN recently completed work on their long-awaited new full-length. Entitled Between Hell And Oblivion, the offering was recorded at Flatline Audio by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Cobalt et al) and offers up 11 tracks of mile-high Deathgrind brutality as well as the debut of vocalist, Stevie Boiser who replaced former throat, Sherwood Webber (Skinless), last Summer.

Commented the band on the output: “Between Hell And Oblivion is a huge milestone for ENEMY REIGN both as a band and for us individually. It means we didn’t give up even when we were written off, and accomplishing that feels great. Musically, we set out to refine what we feel our style of Death Metal is. We aren’t pretentious people, and this is not a pretentious album. It’s a no-nonsense Death Metal album that pays homage to all the bands we grew up with and love, while keeping an eye on how we can add our own artistic license and create something we could listen to everyday. And we do…so enjoy the reign.”
