DORO – To Guest On Season 10 Of ‘That Metal Show’

Live Online Chat With Fans Scheduled

Reigning Queen of Metal DORO PESCH will be appearing as a guest on VH1 Classic’s Season 10 of “That Metal Show.”

“It’s awesome that there’s such a great and unique Metal show on television. ‘That Metal Show’ is my favorite show to watch when I’m in America! I’ve known Eddie Trunk for a very long time. He’s a long-time supporter and I love what he does… and he’s always a great interview when I’m in New York. I’m very excited and looking forward to being on the show!”

Hosted by Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine, the DORO episode will air Saturday, May 12th at 9 p.m. PACIFIC / 11 p.m. EASTERN. DORO will be participating in a live web chat with fans on Tuesday, March 13th at 10:30 a.m. PACIFIC / 1:30 p.m. EASTERN / 18:30 (6:30 p.m.) CET at the Nuclear Blast Streaming Room.

DORO’s mammoth 25 Years In Rock 2 DVD/CD set – which has immortalized her 2,500th live concert – was released last September.

DORO celebrated her 25th anniversary concert in 2008 at the ISS Dome in her hometown of Düsseldorf, Germany. With over 8,500 people in attendance, this magical performance featured her long-time band members Nick Douglas (bass), Joe Taylor (guitar), Johnny Dee (drums) and Oliver Palotai (keyboards, guitar).

Guest appearances were made by Overkill’s Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth, Grave Digger’s Chris Boltendahl, former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen, Scorpions’ Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, Liv Kristine (Leaves’ Eyes), Floor Jansen (After Forever), Axel Rudi Pell and many others. This once-on-a-lifetime concert set was captured in its entirety and includes outtakes from this very special career-affirming evening and is still available at the Nuclear Blast Webshop.

WIZARD – To Play In The U.S. At The Ragnarökkr Metal Apocalypse & Other World Tour Dates

Back in November, we’ve announced that WIZARD will play their first gig in the U.S. at the Ragnarökkr Metal Apocalypse, North America’s greatest True Metal fest! The flights are booked and the countdown’s on.

On May 19th Wizard will headline the festival in Joliet, IL near Chicago and play with bands such as Virgin Steele, Skull Fist, Brocas Helm and many more!

The 2-day ticket is available for $40 at http://www.ragnarokkrmetal.com where you’ll also find additional information about the festival.

Next week on March 17th WIZARD will spill the blood of their enemies at the Hammerfest (Prestatyn, UK) together with Amon Amarth, Dream Evil, Hell and others. They’ll play from 07:15 PM until 08:15 PM at Stage One.  Criminal will play at the same stage later that night from 01 AM until 02 AM.

On April 14th Wizard are back in the Czech Republic, where they will celebrate the Metal together with Paragon and more at Pilzen’s Klub Serikovka!

JOB FOR A COWBOY – Arizona Death Metal Legion To Kick Off Metal Alliance Tour Next Week At SXSW!

Arizona Death Metal legion JOB FOR A COWBOY will kick off a five-and-a-half week stretch of North American dates on this year’s Metal Alliance Tour next week. The live rituals will commence on March 15 in Austin, Texas as part of South By Southwest 2012 and consume 35 more cities through April 21. The band will be joined by headliners Devildriver, The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood, Impending Doom and Wretched.

In addition, the furious quintet will play double duty on March 15 as they headline Metal Blade Records’ 30th Anniversary [unofficial] SXSW day party. Presented by Musicians InstituteAnnex (formerly Emo’s Annex) and co-sponsored by ‘stache media, the show will begin at 11:30am and devour ears until 6:00pm at the MI Annex. JOB FOR A COWBOY will release their new brand new full-length, entitled Demonocracy, this Spring. Drenched in equal parts misanthropy and naked rage, the nine-track recording tackles a host of political/economic themes including media propaganda, the “war industry” and the staggering debts faced by America. Produced by Jason Seucof (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium) who recorded the band’s scorching Ruination full-length, at Audiohammer Studios, and featuring the conceptual cover design by artist Brent Elliott White, Demonocracy, will be unearthed to North American fans on April 10, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.
