WITCHCRAFT – First Track From “Legend” Available For Online Streaming!

Swedish psychedelic classic rockers, WITCHCRAFT, have made the first track single off the bands upcoming album, Legend, available for streaming at the bands official Facebook profile. Surf to http://www.facebook.com/witchcraft and check out It’s Not Because Of You.

The single will be made available for purchase on August 17 digitally (iTunes, http://www.itunes.com/witchcraft ) and as limited 7“ vinyl (Nuclear Blast Mailorder, http://www.nuclearblast.de/suche/witchcraft ) including a special non-album bonus track called Take Me With You When You Die.

The 7“ vinyl will be issued in three different versions: Green (Nuclear Blast Mailorder ONLY), copper and black.

Legend marks WITCHCRAFTs first album in five years and will released September 21, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.

Festival Roster Finalized With The Addition Of LEWD ACTS

The 2012 installment of The Power Of The Riff West is now just one week away, as more than twenty acts will infiltrate Los Angeles’ Echo/Echoplex next Saturday, August 11th.

In addition to recent festival additions including SUNN 0))), NAUSEA (CA), DESPISE YOU and more, this week LEWD ACTS have also been added, now finalizing the festival’s massive lineup: SUNN 0))), OFF!, DR. KNOW, REPULSION, NOOTHGRUSH, XIBALBA, DESPISE YOU, EAGLE TWIN, NAUSEA (CA), POWER TRIP, ANCESTORS, LEWD ACTS, ALPHA & OMEGA, BIO-CRISIS, HOAX, GAZA, DNF, RETOX, THE LOVE BELOW, COPS, HORDES, XAPHAN…

The all-day fest also includes a record swap-meet of local stores and pop-up stores by indie record labels, DJ sets in between band performances and a gourmet food truck court featuring Los Angeles’ best purveyors of street food dining.

ORCHID – Announce New EP: “HERETIC”

San Francisco based Doom Rockers, ORCHID, have announced to release an EP featuring 3 brand new tracks + 1 song from the latest full-length album, Capricorn, on September 7, 2012.

The EP, entitled Heretic, marks the first release for Nuclear Blast and will be released both digitally as well as on 10″ vinyl.

Commented guitarist Mark Baker: “Late in 2010, after we submitted the „Capricorn“ full length to our label and waited for the release, we realized that there wouldn’t be any extensive touring, so we just kept writing and rehearsing new material. A few months later, we were back in the studio cutting basics for new songs. By the time we finished the business of changing labels, we had way more than one album worth of new songs. We, along with Nuclear Blast, decided it would be a great idea to release a few of those on an EP this year while we wrap up everything for our next full length. We’re really excited for people worldwide to get a chance to check out what we’ve been up to in the last year. These new songs have the classic, anthemic ORCHID sound that people expect from us, along with a few elements that we’ve never shown before.”
