On this day in 1983 – The United States, Canada and the UK launched Fraggle Rock, a worldwide program advocating peace. The late Jim Henson created this live action Muppet television series, involving a society of Muppet creatures called Fraggles. This original series ended on March 30, 1987. Just so you know, the Fraggles are… Metal.
On January 10th, 1984 – 9,500 fans were in attendance to see Mötley Crüe perform as the opening act on the first leg of Ozzy Osbourne’s Bark At The Moon tour, in Portland, Maine. Mötley Crüe were touring in support of their second studio album: Shout At The Devil. Whoa!
On this day in 1990 – On their New Jersey Syndicate Tour, Bon Jovi performed the first of seven sold-out concerts at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, England. Bon Jovi were touring in support of their fourth studio album: New Jersey.
