Portland, Oregon-based TITHE will deliver their demoralizing third LP, Communion In Anguish, this September through Profound Lore Records, today unveiling the album’s details including its lead single, “The Fruits Of Spiritual Apartheid.”

TITHE draws influence from many dimensions of ominous, extreme music and themes to manifest their distinctive, hypnotic, grinding, death metal. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Matt Eiseman, vocalist/bassist Alex Huddleston, and drummer Kevin Swartz, the trio converges to create an arrangement even larger than the sum of its parts.

Expanding upon their acclaimed 2023 released Inverse Rapture LP, with Communion In Anguish, TITHE amps up the aggression and doubles down on the unrelenting atmosphere of its predecessor. The new addition of Alex Huddleston’s lower register growls combines with Eiseman’s distressed wails and Swartz’ driving rhythms to push the band into new sonic territory. Featuring artwork by Mitchell Nolte and produced/engineered by Keith Merrow at Merrowsound Studios, Communion In Anguish is the culmination of TITHE’s previous work, and it delivers with a honed and lethal sound.

With the harrowing first preview of Communion In Anguish, “The Fruits Of Spiritual Apartheid,” the band states, “‘The Fruits Of Spiritual Apartheid’ tells the timeless story of mankind embracing idealistic beliefs to justify genocide and endless wars. Religious dogma and blatant racism conveniently dehumanize perceived enemies and diminish their suffering. Murder them all and steal their land. Build your temples and homes on the blood-soaked shallow graves of the innocent.”

Three years after their crushing debut Defiled in Oblivion, CASTRATOR returns with Coronation of the Grotesque, an album that not only exceeds all expectations but leaves them shattered in its wake, firmly cementing the band among the North American death metal elite.

Lyrically, Coronation of the Grotesque explores a range of historical and societal themes that reflect on injustice, victimization, and human suffering. Among the topics confronted are the tragic killing of Mahsa Amini, the ancient Sumerian practice of eunuchization, and seething condemnation of predator Naasón Joaquín García. Clarissa Badini’s exceptional vocals elevate the lyrics, delivering a powerful and precise expression of the album’s themes.

Coronation of the Grotesque was recorded across multiple studios with key figures in the US death metal scene. Bass recording was engineered by John Tardy (Obituary) at Redneck Studios, guitars and vocals by Jordan Milner at Obsidian Audio, additional guitars by Taylor Nordberg (Deicide) at Smoke and Mirrors Productions, and drums by Noah Buchanan (Nunslaughter) at Mercinary Studios, where Buchanan also handled mixing and mastering. Confinement of Flesh features an ominous cover painting by Icelandic artist Skadvaldur, offering a perfect visual representation of the darkness found within the album’s sound. This highly anticipated debut cements MALFORMED as one of the most promising bands in today’s death metal scene.

Formed in 2022 in the Finnish capital of Helsinki, MALFORMED released their debut demo Uncontrollable Malformity, digitally that same year. It was later picked up for physical release by U.S. record label Rotted Life and distributed worldwide.

The demo also led to a record deal and a follow-up EP with Danish underground death metal label Extremely Rotten Productions. The Gathering of Souls, released in 2023, further expanded the band’s international reach and led to several shows outside of Finland.

Over time, guilt for his crimes begins to consume him and he turns to inhaling the putrid fumes as a means of escape. In his intoxicated state, the urge to kill resurfaces, trapping him in an endless cycle murdering for the high, again and again”.

GRAVE HEX – Finnish Death Metal Punks To Unleash Vermian Death Debut Album This August

Emerging from the festering depths of the Finnish underground, GRAVE HEX are set to unleash their debut album, Vermian Death, on August 22nd, 2025 via Night Terrors Records (cassette) and Cavernous Records (CD).

Fueled by a raw punk spirit and forged in the shadow of decay, GRAVE HEX deliver blistering death metal soaked in tension, rot and filth. Their tracks erupt with scathing, unpolished energy, conjuring a foul stench that lingers long after the music stops. With a sound that channels the putrid legacy of bands like Autopsy, Undergang and Morbific, Vermian Death is an uncompromising slab of bestial rage.

GRAVE HEX are poised to make a mark among the ranks of the most unrelenting and primitive purveyors of death metal, drawing in maniacs from both the punk and metal underworlds.

GRAVE HEX was (de)formed in Helsinki in March 2024 by Matti (of hardcore band Vainoa), Miikka (Vainoa), and Martti (ex-Loka, ex-Radien), united by a shared vision of primal, worm-ridden death metal.

Songwriting took off like a spontaneous blaze, and the material for the debut release came together quickly – written and rehearsed in short order, then recorded over three sessions during the summer of 2024.

The result, Vermian Death, is a crushing torrent of metal, steeped in cavernous soundscapes and feral lyrical themes.

Recording and mixing were handled by the band’s own Matti Vainionpää, while mastering was completed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios. The cover art is an original piece commissioned from Slimeweaver.

Shortly after completing the album, the band welcomed Hanna on bass and is now preparing to unleash their bestial death worship live in 2025.

Boris Records Reissuing ECTOVOID’s Dark Abstraction on Limited Edition Vinyl

Birmingham (AL) – Ten years after its initial release and in honored celebration of the band’s fifteenth anniversary of existence, Boris Records is proud to unveil the exclusive vinyl reissue of Ectovoid’s long out of print sophomore full-length album, Dark Abstraction. Slated for a September 12th release, the limited reissue will come in two versions: plain black and marbled purple.

The band’s most recent full length recording and tragically the last to feature the band’s late founding guitarist Michael Stewart, Dark Abstraction, was originally released in 2015 on CD by Polish label Hellthrasher Productions and LP by Swedish label Blood Harvest Records

Boris Records is excited to bring this under-appreciated work of death metal darkness back to the public consciousness. Ectovoid’s exhumation from the forgotten graves is long overdue.

Pain Effulgence sees INNUMERABLE FORMS founding vocalist Justin DeTore and crew – bassist/guitarist Chris Ulsh, guitarist Jensen Ward, and drummer Connor Donegan, deliver their most powerful tectonic-shifting release yet. Pain Effulgence sees the band elevate the trajectory, initially brought forth with their Punishment In Flesh debut and 2022’s Philosophical Collapse, to a new plateau of megalithic death/doom artistry.

Old-school early ‘90s Finnish death metal coalescing with early ‘90s UK death/doom (citing early-Paradise Lost and Anathema) continues to be the blueprint upon which INNUMERABLE FORMS contrives their sound from, and with Pain Effulgence, it continues to become that much more towering and imposing.

DeTore reveals, “Pain Effulgencechannels raw violence into a deeper meditation. It’s bleak—full of resentment, repression, and spiritual exile, yet there’s a constant refusal to submit. Whether clawing through inner torment (‘Blotted Inside’) or rejecting moral weakness (‘Ressentiment’), the lyrics embody a brutal, unflinching defense of personal dignity.”

The opening song from Pain Effulgence, “Impulse,” arrives as the album’s lead single. With it, DeTore states, “‘Impulse’ represents what INNUMERABLE FORMS has been about since the beginning: angry, dark, death/doom.”

ENTHEOS released their An End To Everything EP last Fall via Metal Blade Records. “An End To Everything’s title and lyrics are significant on a personal level and depict an era in my life that ended with the death of a close friend because of addiction,” says Crabb. “This person had thrived in life against many odds but ultimately succumbed as a result of their own poor decisions. An End To Everything is about the nature of the darkness of life and the human experience.

“Musically, our goal on this EP was to write five songs that could both stand on their own as singles and be cohesive as a collection. As always, we aimed to incorporate many different musical influences and blend them in a succinct way. Over the span of three months, we worked from the demo stages to completion alongside Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Fallujah, Whitechapel), who co-produced and engineered the EP, to make five tracks that are uniquely ‘ENTHEOS,’ and we are incredibly proud of the result.”
