TRUTH CORRODED recently performed the SOUNDWAVE Festival in its hometown South Australia playing alongside bands such as TESTAMENT, GOJIRA, BARONESS, AMON AMARTH and MASTODON. This followed on from the recent release of the bands latest album THE SAVIOURS SLAIN which was mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis at Audiohammer Studio (WHITECHAPEL, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, CANNIBAL CORPSE) The album was released worldwide through AFM Records in December.
In a few short weeks, Reykjavik, Iceland-based Death Metal squadron, BENEATH, will unleash the hellstorm that is their daunting sophomore full-length, The Barren Throne, once again through Unique Leader Records.
With an unrelenting fifty-three minutes of technical death metal cruelty through eleven new tracks, on The Barren Throne, BENEATH has sought to envelope melody, atmosphere and structure within its manic blastbeats and speed-picked guitars. The album evolves lyrically and conceptually around the idea of a being or entity that consumes and devours everything around it until it’s forced to consume itself. The follow-up to their Unique Leader-released 2012 debut full-length, Enslaved By Fear, the dynamic The Barren Throne is BENEATH’s first release with new vocalist, Benedikt Natanael Bjarnason, who joined the lineup in June 2013.
The album’s massive production was achieved by the Wieslawski brothers of famed Hertz Studios in Poland (Behemoth, Dead Infection, Vader, Decapitated), and the album artwork once again sanctioned to the masterful Raymond Swanland. The end result is a complex and procedural, yet dynamic album that rewards repeated listening. The Barren Throne will be released worldwide on April 29th.

Formed in the winter of 2007/2008, the members of BENEATH have all been active in the Icelandic Metal scene for some years, with current and former connections to Sororicide, Changer, Atrum, Azoic and Diabolus to name a few. After making their live debut supporting The Black Dahlia Murder in January 2009 and winning the inaugural Icelandic finals for the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle they became the first Icelandic band to perform at the Wacken Open Air festival in August 2009. More festival appearances followed, amongst others Death Feast Open Air in 2010 and Neurotic Deathfest in 2011.
In February 2010, BENEATH released their debut Hollow Empty Void EP on Mordbrann Musikk which landed them a record deal with Unique Leader Records. In 2012 the band released their first full-length, Enslaved By Fear, which was mixed by Daniel Bergstrand at Dug Out studios in Uppsala, Sweden.In 2013, singer and founder Gisli Sigmundsson left the band and was replaced by Benedikt Natanael Bjarnason (Azoic).
TANK – We are looking forward to getting the band back out on the road again in Spring 2014.
Shows are currently under negotiation for dates and festivals across Europe and we have been approached by promoters in new territories that TANK have never performed in before. There are a lot of fans out there that have never had the chance to see TANK play a live show. Hopefully we can make it happen for them this year. Mick and Cliff are busy writing new songs for the next TANK studio album.
After the great success of the last two releases, WAR MACHINE and WAR NATION, the guys are working hard to make the next offering another big step forward in the evolution of TANK.

On April 9th, Dutch Black Metal legends COUNTESS will release their long-awaited new full-length album, entitled ‘Ancient Lies And Battle Cries’ through the band’s long-time label Barbarian Wrath.
‘Ancient Lies And Battle Cries’, the band’s fourteenth full-length, features ten tracks of uncompromising METAL, blending first wave Black Metal and traditional Heavy Metal in a way only COUNTESS can. The result of almost three years of writing and recording, ‘Ancient Lies’ will surely satisfy all those who long for the days when Black Metal was still METAL.

Legendary NWOBHM band SATAN have announced a series of live dates in the U.S. and Europe.
SATAN is a Heavy Metal band originating from Newcastle, England in 1980, known as part of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. Though generally obscure throughout their career, the band is considered influential for playing a form of proto-thrash metal that was fairly advanced by the standards of the early 1980s.
Their 1983 debut album, Court In The Act, is now widely acclaimed and regarded by many as the pinnacle of their career, during which the band’s line-up underwent a number of personnel changes and even changes in band name, releasing albums under the name of BLIND FURY and PARIAH, before folding in 1990. Guitarist Steve Ramsey and bassist Graeme English went on to found folk metal band SKYCLAD, while vocalist Brian Ross reformed his original band BLITZKRIEG.
SATAN remained inactive until re-assembling for a one-off gig at Germany’s Wacken Open Air in 2004, and finally reunited in their original Court In The Act line-up for 2011’s Keep It True festival. The band performed at several european festivals in 2011 and 2012 and have announced more festival shows and even a new album for 2013, to mark the 30th anniversary of Court In The Act‘s release. Bow to your knees, SATAN was back with its new album Life Sentence, released in April 2013 on Listenable Records.
Life Sentence was featured on many a “Best Of 2013” lists, and has been heralded as one of the best comeback album of the decade.

Winnipeg Death Thrash outfit, Endless Chaos, have unleashed the third and final track ‘Condemned To The Pit’ from their three song debut EP ‘Rejected Atrocity’ to complete the full FREE download for its official release today, March 4th.

Who’s ready for Epica’s new album The Quantum Enigma? It’s coming this spring!
Marking the beginning of a new era of modernity, heaviness, and no compromises, Dutch symphonic sextet EPICA are set to release their sixth studio album, THE QUANTUM ENIGMA, this spring in North America.
“More than any of our previous albums, this album is a group effort,” states the band. “The only goal we had in mind: creating the album that could lift EPICA up to the next level. Every detail finds its way into a perfectly balanced mix and makes EPICA sound raw and overwhelming.”
Teaming up with producer Joost van den Broek (REVAMP, AFTER FOREVER), The Quantum Enigma was recorded at the Sandlane Recording Facilities in The Netherlands and mixed by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, HATESPHERE).
Creating stunning artwork to accompany the ideas behind THE QUANTUM ENIGMA’s lyrics is longtime collaborator Stephan Heilemann, whose cover art is part of a bigger picture.
The Quantum Enigma will release on May 2nd (Europe), May 5th (UK) and May 13th (USA) through Nuclear Blast.

February 28, 2014 Cincinnati, Ohio – The Warriors Of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization has confirmed that Boston Power Metal veterans STEEL ASSASSIN will make a much-anticipated return to the Warriors of Metal Fest VII. The band will perform selections from their various releases such as War of the Eight Saints, WWII: Metal of Honor, In Hellfire Forged as well as a few other metallic surprises. The Warriors of Metal Fest VII will be held June 26 – 28 at O’Shecky’s Live Bar & Grill in Columbus, Ohio.
The band collectively states: “In 2013 the Warriors Of Metal Fest VI Open Air demonstrated to us true metal camaraderie, brotherhood and dedication to the art form. We are honored and excited to be part of this event again this year.”

Swedish Death Metal horde Diabolical have been confirmed for Bloodstock Festival 2014!
The band recently confirmed a string of tours which sees Diabolical campaign across Europe over the coming months in support of their latest album ‘Neogenesis. The band are currently on tour in UK with Svart Crown and Ascaris and if that doesn’t wet the appetites of the British metal contingent a return on August 7th-10th to Catton Park, Derby sure-fire will.
Bloodstock 2014 is shaping up to be one of, if not the biggest, Bloodstock yet. Last year, just prior to Lamb Of God’s Saturday headline show, the first headline act for Bloodstock 2014 was announced as revered black metal innovators Emperor and it was confirmed that the festival would play host to the one and only 2014 UK Emperor performance. Also confirmed are Megadeth, Down, Carcass, Amon Amarth, Saxon, Children Of Bodom, Hatebreed, Obituary, Lacuna Coil, Crowbar, Prong and many, many more.
