Since the birth of Obscene Extreme back in 1999 exactly 643 (next year will exceed the ‘magic’ number of 666) bands will have played the Obscene Extreme festival. These bands have come from almost every corner of the globe and have attracted hordes of diehard extreme music fans from all over Europe and well beyond its home base in the Czech Republic.

What brings the fans to Obscene Extreme is more than the wide selection of underground grindcore, crust, punk, death, thrash, hardcore and almost every underground style in between, but also the incredible atmosphere, the DIY ethic and the true spirit of community. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or who you are, everyone is the same when you’re in the pit!

REVOLTING – Hymns of Ghastly Horror to be Released Sept 7th on FDA Rekotz

Hymns of Ghastly Horror is the fourth album from Swedish cult band REVOLTING and it is scheduled to arrive internationally September 7th on FDA Rekotz in CD and digital formats. The vinyl LP version will be released on November 16th.  On the new album, REVOLTING offers the finest in classic, yet distinct Swedish Death Metal.

Specifically, REVOLTING returns with an album most demonstrative of their knack for creating those unforgettable necro-melodies, crusty grooves, and unmitigated brute force that has defined their songwriting development to date. ABOUT AUROCH:

Spawned from Vancouver’s underground back in 2008, Lovecraftian Death Metal trio Auroch is on a mission to give Canadian Extreme Metal traditions the respect they deserve, bringing them to the countless maniacs always anticipating the next epic Death Metal assault.

Following a number of smaller releases, Auroch will finally be unleashing its soon to be titled first full-length album in summer 2012.
