STATIC-X Machine Killer Tour Concert Review And Photos – October 13th 2023 At Piedmont Hall In Greensboro North Carolina

Posted in concerts, Heavy Metal, industrial metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news with tags , , , , , , , on October 21, 2023 by Metal Odyssey

After an incredible run earlier this year on the Rise of the Machine Tour, Static-X is back on the road but this time with some new friends. The 2023-2024 Machine Killer Tour now includes not only Static-X and Dope but Sevendust has now been introduced into this already powerful equation. Fans lined up early at Piedmont Hall in Greensboro NC on Oct. 13th to get a taste of the action. There was no better way to spend Friday the 13th.

The show opened with Lines of Loyalty, a three piece band from Wisconsin. The band consists of Glenn Morrison on guitar and vocals, Redo Ianni on bass and Brayden Pike on drums. Morrison has extremely crisp vocals that come from a place of passion. Pike is the definition of never judge a book by its cover. He looks all sweet and innocent but plays the drums like they owe him money. The only time Lanni ever stood still was when he was addressing the crowd. Other than that he owned every inch of his side of the stage with both physical movements and sound. Overall Lines of Loyalty was extremely well received.

Dope was up next with a bit of a last minute line-up change. Early on in the show lead singer, Edsel Dope, informed fans that long time guitarist Andre Karkos, better known as Virus, was hospitalized. At the time the reason for hospitalization was unknown, however, Edsel reassured everyone that he was doing ok. He then introduced Virus replacement, Tommy Shaffer. Shaffer fit in perfectly. He looked the part and he played so well it felt more like he had been touring with them the whole time rather than just filling in.

Edsel has a very calming presence when he speaks. He talked to the crowd with such care and confidence and then turned around and sang with such anger, power and intensity. The rest of the band easily matched his performance. Drummer Chris Warner is always a treat to see. He makes it look so effortless but the sound is so fierce. Bass player, Daniel Fox, was all over the stage making faces and making sure everyone could feel the music.

Dope had the crowd hyped but when Sevendust took the stage the crowd erupted with screams of excitement. Lead singer, Lajon Witherspoon is a powerhouse of a front man. He had command of everyone in the building with just his voice. Witherspoon is proof that even though metalheads may look and sound scary they really are one big family and they look out for each other. During their set, Witherspoon, opened up a walking pit and encouraged everyone to join in a safe space that was similar to a circle pit.

This did not stop him from also encouraging the crowd to open multiple mosh pits. He acted kind of like a mosh pit life guard, singing one moment and in the same breath asking if someone was ok then going right back into the next line. Mid set Witherspoon paused, pointed the microphone at the audience, and stood back to listen as the crowd sang back at him like they were part of the band.

The best way to describe drummer, Morgan Rose, is the human version of Animal the Muppet. He shows no mercy to those drums yet the music still sounds so wonderful.

Pairing his animalistic approach to the drums with the deep soul touching sound of Vinnie Horsnsby’s bass, it was impossible not to feel the music. From the bathroom to the concession line every part of that venue was shaking. Clint Lowery and John Connolly are an underrated guitar duo who even on opposite sides of the stage still play well together.

Finally it was time for Static-X to take the stage. Imagine this, a storm of soapy foam like bubbles cloud the stage, a large smiling pumpkin man enters from the side as music plays. Suddenly the music changes and the pumpkin man’s smile turns into a terrifying devilish grin. Tony Campos, Ken Jay, and Koichi Fukuda take the stage as Xero’s laser red eyes appear atop a podium dressed in a steal Static-X logo. Hollow begins to play. As Xero steps down from the podium and the band transitions into Terminator Oscillator the stage became flooded with smoke bubbles (dry ice). Whoever says bubbles aren’t metal has obviously never seen a cyborg play guitar as they pop around him.

Xero’s vocal style is extremely similar to that of original lead singer, Wayne Static. The concept of replacing a fallen band member has always had some controversy behind it but Xero has been taken in with open arms. It is apparent that he is in no way trying to replace Wayne but instead keeping his legacy alive. Static came out with a new album in 2020 called Project: Regeneration Vol. 1. This year they have dropped a few songs from Vol. 2, which is set to release in 2024. As the band began to play Z0mbie a new but familiar looking monster appeared on stage. He towers over the band, he’s green, his hair reaches to the heavens and he is simply known as FRANKENSTATIC.

Campos and Fukuda do an amazing job at commanding the sides of the stage. Campos stomps along to the beat of his bass with the same power that he puts into playing it. Fukuda hypes the crowd up with a level of shredding that has been consistent over almost 30 years. Even though Jay is hidden behind Xero’s hair it doesn’t stop anyone from hearing the crashing of his symbols or thunder like sounds as he strikes the drumhead. It wouldn’t be a Static-X show without an appearance from everyone’s favorite Shovel Man during I’m With Stupid. A song which no one could resist singing along to. However, nothing could compare to the roar that they met as they ended the show with Push It.

Static- X used the momentum from the Rise of the Machine Tour and doubled that energy with new friends both human and monster. With all four bands there is something for everyone on the Machine Killer Tour. Whether it’s this year or next this is a show no one should miss. Everyone shoud enjoy a little evil disco now and again. – Tanis Enos

Dark Metal Act SCHATTENMANN Presents Music Video For Album Title Track “Día de Muertos”!

New Album out on June 30, 2023 via AFM Records
Currently on Tour with EISBRECHER + New Headlining Dates just announced!

While they are currently on tour with EISBRECHER ( find all gigs listed below, including just announced headlining dates! ), industrial dark rock and metal act, SCHATTENMANN, is gearing up for the release of their hotly-anticipated, forthcoming album! Día de Muertos, the band’s fourth studio offering, is due out on June 30, 2023via AFM Records, the pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!

Following a series of previously-released singles such as “Menschenhasser”, “Hände Hoch”, “Dickpic” or “Jeder Ist Schlecht”, now, the four-piece is presenting us a music video for their album title track! SCHATTENMANN frontman Frank Herzig comments: “For us, Día de Muertos is an absolutely life-affirming song. “We celebrate life, death and time” means seize the day, enjoy life and make the most of the time you have left.”

Watch the new SCHATTENMANN clip for “Día de Muertos”, now premiering HERE

With their unique sound and profound music, SCHATTENMANN has become one of the most promising bands in the German metal scene. Chaos, the band’s latest, much acclaimed album (2021, AFM Records), has already seen them unmistakably showcase: SCHATTENMANN‘s sound became heavier, more metallic, more multifaceted and uncompromising in terms of content.

With Día de Muertos, SCHATTENMANN has purposefully expanded their sound to include modern and enthralling elements through the influences of metal and industrial, and their upcoming offering won’t make any exceptions. The album promises to take its listener on an even more intense journey and solidify their already strong presence in the world of heavy music!

“On ‘Día de Muertos’, you will only find songs that get straight to the point without detours. Half-hearted ideas or even filler material is sought in vain here,” Herzig recently said, who also produced and mixed the album.

“We sorted out a lot during the songwriting and kept only the very best tracks to present to the public. In this way, ten strong songs have been created that leave no questions unanswered.”

This statement is all the more true since Herzig and his three bandmates Jan Shook (guitar), Luke Shook (bass) and Nils Kinzig (drums) once again draw on the full range of content. Their credo is: “We wish, that our fans are touched by our music and take something out of it for themselves personally. We want to arouse emotions, from good mood to anger, but at the same time it can also be melancholic or thoughtful.”

Día de Muertos track listing:

  1. Día de Muertos
  2. Jeder ist schlecht
  3. Hände hoch
  4. Menschenhasser
  5. Dämonen
  6. Meer aus Licht
  7. Haters Gonna Hate
  8. Dickpic
  9. In deinem Schatten
  10. Ewigkeit

STATIC X “Rise Of The Machine Tour” Concert Review By Tanis Enos – Featuring FEAR FACTORY, MUSHROOMHEAD, DOPE And SOCIETY 1 At The Underground, Charlotte North Carolina

Posted in concert reviews, concerts, Heavy Metal, industrial metal, industrial metal bands, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 20, 2023 by Metal Odyssey

The Rise of the Machine Tour drew in a sold out crowd on March 16, at The Underground in Charlotte North Carolina. The show consisted of headliner Static X and supporting acts Society 1, Dope, Mushroomhead, and Fear Factory. Fans were lining up outside as early as 10am to secure a spot as close to the action as possible.

With an explosion of sound, Society 1 opened the show, immediately getting the crowd riled up and ready for the rest of the night. Lead singer Matt Zane, also known as Lord Zane, brings a creative mix of both clean low vocals and different levels of aggressive growls and screams. His performance style is extremely active and he is always looking to shock the crowd. Zane is backed by an equally intense band consisting of Erik Kluiber on guitar, Jimmy Minj on bass and Dagon TheDestroyer on drums. Loud, proud and in your face is the best way to describe all of Society 1.

In an almost seamless transition, Dope took the stage next. Lead singer Edsel Dope came out vocals blazing holding nothing back the entire show. The uncaged punk rage known as Acey Slade made an explosive impact but not on his normal low end, instead Slade wielded the axe all night. The foundation was set by the sturdy rhythm section made up of Daniel Fox on bass and Chris Warner on drums. All together the band produced a sound performance that any existing Dope fan would love and any new fan would remember for a long time.

Mushroomhead came out with a literal bang. Instantly fans in the front row were hit with water bouncing of the huge barrel-like drums on both sides. Water wasn’t the only thing flying off the stage. Singer Scott Beck jumped into the arms of rowdy fans and crowd surfed as chaos continued on stage. Mushroomhead excelled the most at adding the heaviest Nu Metal sound to an overall Industrial tour.

Fear Factory was next and by then the crowd was out of their minds. Still continuing the Industrial metal theme, Fear Factory added a touch of thrash metal at the hands of guitarist Dino Cazares, that set them apart from the rest of the bands. Tony Campos played double duty owning the bass for Fear Factory and later coming back with the same intensity and drive on the bass for Static X. Milo Silvestro commanded the stage with authority on vocals. Mike Heller kept the beat up on drums.

Finally it was time for Static X. Before the band even took the stage, fans were screaming at a level that could easily be compared to that of teenage girls at a boy band concert. After a thrilling rendition of Sweet Caroline sang at full volume by the crowd the lights went dark and one single light could be seen coming from the stage. The light was held by a strange creature, which Campos, later referred to as the Xbox Logo and others call Shovel Man, who can also be found in the music videos for both “Push It” and “I’m With Stupid”. Campos returned to the stage next followed by drummer Ken Jay and guitarist Koichi Fukuda.

Lights flashed to the thunderous sound of their music as lead singer Xer0 joined them on stage. Xer0 debuted a new look at the beginning of the tour that combined his primary look with that of a robot. The iconic tall spiky hair that original lead singer Wayne Static was known for is honored in a wiry cyborg like do. As anyone would be, some fans were skeptical about a new lead singer and how it would affect the Static X sound. However, as the show progressed it was clear that not only did Xer0 have the look but he brought the grit and sound that Static fans love. At this time, the band has no plans to reveal the identity of the new lead singer and as fans fell under Xer0’s robotic trance, it was apparent that it did not matter to them who was under the mask. Unfortunately, due to the size restrictions of the venue the band was unable to put on the full production they had planned for the tour.

Nonetheless, the fans soaked up every single bit of their performance singing just as loud as Xer0. Static X still had a few tricks up their sleeve for this small venue. During “Cold” the lights turned to shades of blue as a blizzard of snow covered the band, adding to the already deep and powerful vibe of the song. The energy shifted immediately as “I’m With Stupid” began to play. Everybody’s favorite Shovel Man returned to the stage and along with him came monstrous sized balloons. Overall, Static X did an incredible job stimulating the crowd both visually and audibly and left the crowd wanting more.

Midwestern US industrial metal outfit BLACK MAGNET has completed work on its second album, Body Prophecy, which is being finalized for release in 2022 via 20 Buck Spin.

While details on Body Prophecy – the follow-up to the band’s well-received 2020-released debut LP, Hallucination Scene – are still shrouded in mystery, the band has issued a warning shot from the crushing album, through an intense official video for the track “Violent Mechanix.” The punishing visual work was directed and edited by Joe Casey, filmed by Beau Sparks, with visual effects by Will Acuña.

BLACK MAGNET architect James Hammontree reveals, “’Violent Mechanix’ was the first new song written after the release of the last album Hallucination Scene. It was an attempt to forge some new ideas for the music and use a beat I had never tried. Lyrically, the song is about the ailments of the body physically responding to the current state of the world, a theme that repeats throughout the album in different contexts. For the video, we built a machine to be fueled by human workers whose mouth-to-mouth contact gives the machine energy until it’s final implosion. This is one of many videos to come to accompany the singles from the upcoming album, Body Prophecy.”

Explore the biomechanical psychosis of BLACK MAGNET’s “Violent Mechanix” video now at THIS LOCATION.

Watch for full details on the Body Prophecy LP to be issued via 20 Buck Spin in the months ahead.

BLACK MAGNET has issued the video in conjunction with a run of Eastern US tour dates which begin this week. The trek runs from December 11th through 20th with shows in Tulsa, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, and Indianapolis, with support from Trace Amount on the second half of the itinerary. Watch for additional tour dates to be announced alongside the new LP’s details and onward throughout 2022.

BLACK MAGNET Tour Dates:
12/11/2021 Whittier Bar – Tulsa, OK
12/12/2021 The Sinkhole – St. Louis, MO
12/14/2021 Preserving Underground – Pittsburgh, PA

Finnish Industrial Metal/EBM Group KING SATAN have released the official video for new single “Psygnosis.” The video was directed, written and produced by the band’s mastermind/vocalist Aleister Von Satan himself. Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pq_HgY5puE or below:

The single will be included on the band’s upcoming debut album, which will be released later in 2016 on Saturnal Records.

KING SATAN is an industrial metal / EBM band from Tampere, Finland, founded in 2015 by Aleister Von Satan (a.k.a. fra. Zetekh, also mastermind of occult Black Metal band Saturnian Mist). KING SATAN combines influences from a wide range of Extreme Metal, Electro-Industrial and even Hard Rock. Musically, the band is about complete defiance – not only towards the boundaries and conventions of Metal and Electro Music but also the status quo of spiritual life and mental status of modern world. BAND BIO:

KING SATAN‘s first promo titled We are King Satan and we Fuck the World (2015) was recorded in autumn 2015 and released in December 2015 together with a music video single from the demo titled Enter Black Fire (2015). The video was directed by ALEISTER VON SATAN himself. The CD edition of the demo sold out fast and KING SATAN were going through a period of finding an established line-up for the sake of performing live, which meant that  a lot of people came and went before the line-up was settled. DJ SHEMHAMFORASH (a.k.a. fra. Ptahaz, also known from Saturnian Mist) was already in the band during the time of the first demo and handled guitars, synths and DJ responsibilities live, while B.B. KILL found himself as a guitarist and KATE BOSS as a bassist and a dancer.

Due to the success of the demo KING SATAN started working almost immediately on the debut full-length album in March 2016 and the first live shows were confirmed quickly. The first live appearance will take place August 2016 at the SAARIHELVETTI FESTIVAL, Tampere, Finland, where the band will share the stage with such names as Turmion Kätilöt and Shining, while the second show will take a place at the extravagant GOTHIC FEST in SOFIA at Sofia, Bulgaria on October 29, 2016.

FEAR OF DOMINATION – Unleashes A New Wicked Album

Posted in Heavy Metal, Metal, metal music, Music, news, rock music with tags , , , , on January 21, 2016 by Metal Odyssey

FEAR OF DOMINATION - Atlas - promo album cover pic - 2016 - #MO33ILMFDSP8CIL

The fourth studio album of Fear of Domination is titled Atlas and it will be released on March 11. It is the darkest and heaviest masterpiece FoD has ever done.

The Finnish shock Industrial Metal band Fear of Domination will give a totally new definition to “spring break” by unleashing its fourth studio album Atlas,on March 11. The vocalist and the lyricist of the band Saku Solin describes Atlas as the darkest and the heaviest album the band has ever done.

Solin describes, that Atlas is about the moment, when all the light in the world has faded, and a human being is left to wander with his crushing burden.

“The question is, is the burden self-created, imagined or concrete. We’ve all had a bit of an emotion-filled year. I think we have efficiently packed primitive rage, desperation and misery here. It wasn’t a conscious decision. This is how we felt, and fuck, we did what had to be done.”

The string instruments are crunching lower than before and the composer and keyboardist of the band Lasse Raelahti has created a harmony of chaos and beauty with his synthesizer. Fans were given the first taste of blood, when the band released the music video single El Toro in the autumn.

The lyrics of the album are also more straight and brutal than before. The vocal producer Helena Haaparanta whipped everything out of the singer. Solin reveals from the album, that the rasp and growl vocals can change quickly to “freakishly annoyingly poppish” singing.

“We have always loved to create some contrast. Even though the lyrics are about the collapse of the mind and the world, suddenly there can be an opera-kind-of part or then it could be from E-Types disco song.”

The drums and the basses were recorded in D-studio, the guitars in the apartment of the lead guitarist and composer Johannes Niemi and the vocals in another studio in city of Kerava. The producers Alex Azzali and Nicholas Barker mixed and mastered the album in Italy. The cover art is created by Timo Kokko.

Fear of Domination is ready for the live-shows of the spring and is more insane than ever. The band is famous for their theatrical and half-crazy shows filled with energy. The year 2016 started with sold out MeriRock in January and will continue with three-day tour of MetalOrgy.

”We are looking forward to the gigs! We are able to use some new ideas and of course, to play the new songs. There are a couple of new ones, that I am sure will rock the hell out of the crowd”, Solin smiles.

Fear of Domination was found in 2006. The third album Distorted Delusions was published in 2014.

AUTHOR & PUNISHER – Live Rituals To Commence Next Week In Tulsa, OK

Author & Punisher - promo pic - 2013 - #1

In just one week, AUTHOR & PUNISHER – one Tristan Shone – will embark upon a 19-date North American trek supporting Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals. Fittingly dubbed the Technicians Of Distortion Tour, the long-anticipated journey will commence July 31st in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additional support will be provided by WARBEAST.

Comments Shone of the upcoming adventure: “I knew I had to step it up when Phil asked me to join this tour…the result is my most ambitious live undertaking. I have worked myself to a bloody pulp soldering, rewiring, building, to make things stronger, louder and more devastating.  I also am bringing a small team along with me as well to help with live video streaming, cameras etc.  This will for sure be a raucous affair not to be missed….”

AUTHOR & PUNISHER mercilessly manipulate the principal conventions of doom, industrial and heavy bass music relying on cold steel and soulless machinery to sonically replicate the despondency of life. Described most succinctly as “industrial doom,” this one-man project utilizes primarily custom designed and fabricated machines and speakers, devices that draw heavily on aspects of industrial automation and robotics and focus upon the eroticism of interaction with machine. Through his maniacal audio decomposition, Shone paints an often disturbing soundtrack of a world gone rotten.

FEAR FACTORY – Let’s Ponder The Concept Of ‘The Industrialist’

Posted in Heavy Metal, heavy metal albums, heavy metal news, industrial metal, Metal, metal music, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , on September 21, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

FEAR FACTORY – By now, every loyal Fear Factory fan has (hopefully) purchased and listened to The Industrialist (at least) 500 times by now. Maybe more. Released back on June 2nd, via Candlelight Records, The Industrialist is a concept album that has what may be interpreted as a complex storyline, due in part to its philosophical thoughts that the lyrics provoke. I’ve (once again) been thoroughly entertained by the legendary Industrial Metal sound of Fear Factory on their eighth studio album. The concept has been equally fun for me as well, albeit a bit scary though!

Stone notes: When I refer to “machine” in the following lines, it is referenced towards the Industrialist and automaton(characters) that are the focal points of this impressive and chilling album: The Industrialist.

Man creates machine. Machine becomes a “free-thinker” by developing memories and emotions. Machine senses a “longing for existence” through said inherited memories and emotions. Machine rebels against its creator; which is man. The longtime controversial topic of man versus machine is once again realized and materialized through song, courtesy of the dynamic Industrial Metal super-duo of Burton C. Bell (vocalist, lyricist, producer) and Dino Cazares (multi-instrumentalist, producer).

I find The Industrialist to perhaps be a warning of what could one day become. Mankind may not have automatons walking around and tending to our every single need at this moment in 2012; yet computers do have an automaton quality about them. Granted, computers can only perform tasks that they are programmed to do and mankind still controls the technological wheel that drives every application we depend on.

(Left) Burton C. Bell, (Right) Dino Cazares

As I write this post on my MacBook Pro, I realize this computer will only do what I “tell it to do” by the click of a mouse or strike of a key. However, the science fiction side of my brain does make me ponder: could there one day be a computer application that will inherit true human emotions and memories? I’m not talking about archival memories, nor synthetic emotions here… I’m questioning the scary thought of a computer app becoming a free thinking entity!

The more I ponder this sci-fi aspect of computer technology, the more difficult it becomes (for me) to comprehend. A topic like this may very well be grouped in with those sensitive subjects such as politics, religion and (gasp) sex. Are we (mankind) supposed to question our rapid ascent of technology? When the topic of Armageddon is raised, the usual suspects of nuclear war, UFO’s, climate change, spontaneous natural disasters, the burning out of our sun, disease, famine and meteor showers are discussed. What about man-made machines like robotics or computers being the culprit(s) of a terrifying Armageddon?

As I read and listen to the lyrics of The Industrialist, it does take me back to the iconic box office franchise known as The Terminator and 2004’s I, Robot. This Fear Factory album has also reminded me of the song Metal Gods, from the 1980 Judas Priest album classic: British Steel. One stirring lyrical line from Metal Gods sums it up best, when delving into the sic-fi aspect of machine versus man: “From techno seeds we first planted, Evolved a mind of its own”.

Legendary Metal manipulators FEAR FACTORY are pleased to announce a U.S. headlining tour next month. Set to commence on August 1 in Fresno, California, the next segment of the The World Industrialist Tour 2012 will pummel its way across the country and includes a stop at this year’s Juggalo Gathering in Cave In Rock, Illinois alongside Soulfly, Static X, DMX, Onyx, and George Clinton among others. Additional dates will be announced in the coming days. Comments guitarist Dino Cazares: “We are really looking forward to getting back on tour to play classic FEAR FACTORY songs and new songs from The Industrialist!”

This will mark the FEAR FACTORY’s first official trek in support of The Industrialist, unleashed to North American fans June 5 via Candlelight Records. The second album written by Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell since reuniting in 2009 after a seven-year split., The Industrialist debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 chart at position 38 and maintained the #1 spot on the CMJ charts for three consecutive weeks.

Commended by Revolver Magazine in a 4/5 review for offering up “the same pulsating, angry urgency of old…nicely counterbalanced by some incredibly deft melodies,” while Metal Underground opined: “Burton C. Bell’s vocal harmonies, the group’s dynamics, Dino’s guitar play and, of course, the tightness of the rhythm section — featuring newcomer Matt DeVries of Chimaira fame on bass — was created with such superb craftsmanship that the album is in constant rotation in my brain, leading to play after play in the physical world, ” The Industrialist continues to floor fans and critics internationally.

FEAR FACTORY – Unleash Special Video Preview; “Recharger” Confirmed As Lead Single

Posted in Heavy Metal, heavy metal news, industrial metal, metal music, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , on April 16, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

FEAR FACTORY has released a special trailer that is a visual preview into the story behind their forthcoming new album, The Industrialist. Set for release June 5, The Industrialist is the second album written by vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven-year split. An audio snippet for the album’s lead single, “Recharger,” is now available at the band’s official YouTube page; the single is available via iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers beginning April 24.

As previously announced, The Industrialist is a conceptual record based around a short fiction written by Bell; lyrics to the album’s ten songs divulge the narrative as discussed recently by Bell with Decibel Magazine. The album will be available on three formats – standard CD, a limited edition deluxe digi-book (featuring two additional songs), and 180-gram double vinyl. Pre-orders for the album in all formats will be available shortly via Candlelight Records’ official webstore.

Bell notes, “the protagonist (The Industrialist) is the incarnation of all industries in the form of an automaton. The mechanical, technological, and scientific advances through the industrial age led to the creation of The Industrialist. In the story, the automaton becomes sentient as it collects memories with each passing day. Through observation and learning, it gains the will to exist. What was meant to help man, will eventually be man’s demise.”

The Industrialist follows the 2010 release of Mechanize. Widely regarded, the album was the first release from FEAR FACTORY in six years. Mechanize debuted on Billboard’s Top 100 album chart week of release and topped CMJ’s Loud Rock radio chart as programmers embraced the band’s triumphant return. Sirius XM and Headbangers Ball’s host Jose Mangin noted, “after Mechanize dominated 2010 as Liquid Metal’s Album Of The Year, North America is chompin’ at the bit to get an ear full of new Fear Factory. I have no doubt that FEAR FACTORY are going to kick our collective asses in 2012.”

Members of FEAR FACTORY are currently in Los Angeles rehearsing for upcoming performances in South America followed by their first U.S. tour since late 2010. Bell and Cazares presented members of Slipknot the “Comeback Of The Year” award last week at the 4th Annual Revolver Golden God Awards; an award they were nominated for in 2010. Xbox broadcast the program, including pre-ceremony black carpet interviews, to all game console owners; Revolver Magazine streamed the event live via their Facebook page. Rebroadcast information will be announced by Revolver Magazine shortly.

The trailer for The Industrialist was digitally manipulated and chopped by James Zahn. To check out more of his work, visit http://www.therockfather.com.
