Hard Rock super-group SAINTED SINNERS have hit the scene withHigh On Fire, their brand new album now available through ROAR – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music! To celebrate the release in style, the band drops a music video for “Lost In A Storm“;a slow-burning rocker with a blues edge, heavy shadows, and the kind of moody power that recalls the early era of Black Sabbath in a modern shape.
The video clip for “Lost In A Storm” is now premiering HERE
Guitarist Frank Panécomments: “We are happy to finally share our 5th album High On fire with the Rock fans around the world. It‘s a testimony of our passion for the music that we love most and is in our blood. Sainted Sinners is a very heartfelt musical outlet for everybody in the band and we hope listeners can feel that fire, which after decades in the Rock‘n Roll buisness still burns high! We are high on fire!”
He adds: “The lastest single “Lost In A Storm” shows our more darker & heavy side. Definitely inspired by one of our favourite bands Black Sabbath, but still keeping trademark Sainted Sinners elements like an intense use of the Hammond to add a different flavour and unexpectedly ending, which could turn into a improvised jam at our live shows. Curious? Have a listen and don‘t get lost in the storm.”
Rooted within the sound of the legendary acts of this genre, like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, UFO and others, yet also with influences from different styles, with their new offering High On Fire, SAINTED SINNERS once again prove that classic hard rock can feel timeless, energetic and inspiring for generations to come.
The new record features the stellar line-up of Jack Meile (Tygers Of Pan Tang) on vocals, Frank Pané (Bonfire) on guitar, Ernesto Ghezzi (Gotthard) on keyboards, Samy Saemann (ex-Freedom Call) on bass, and Berci Hirleman on drums. Together they deliver a vibrant journey through 70s- and 80s-inspired heavy rock, full of soul-soaked vocals, groovy Hammond duels, intricate riffs, and a driving rhythm section.
High On Fire delivers a feeling of good time Rock’n’Roll vibes. Let‘s forget and escape from all the bad things in life and enjoy life to the fullest with freedom of expression and an overall positive attitude:
“There are too many negative things happening all over the world right now, and you can’t ignore that. However, you always have to stay positive and firmly believe that calmer and better times will come again, and we hope to help our fans stay similarly positive with our music and continue to believe that everything will be okay”, says Pané.
You can also feel that power within the album artwork, created by Frank and Miram Kollbrunner. “For me, it reflects the power we try to convey to the listener with our music. Whether you’re a “saint” or a “sinner,” there’s a little bit of both in everyone. Life is also light and shadow. If you accept that for yourself, it gives you the freedom to enjoy life.”

This special release highlights Dead Groove’s upcoming track, a powerful collaboration with seven-time Grammy-nominated guitar legend Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs, Kansas) and blues phenom Lance Lopez.
As an added bonus, the 7” will also feature an unreleased rare mix from the late, great Tommy Bolin—who was Glenn’s bandmate during his iconic Deep Purple Mk III era. New Album “Something Borrowed…Something New” Out Dec 5th, 2025
Australian hard rockers Greystone Canyon return with a powerful new single – a bold rendition of Thin Lizzy’s “Suicide”, available worldwide now. The track is the first glimpse into the band’s forthcoming album Something Borrowed…Something New, due out December 5th, 2025, from Rockshots Records, marking their most authentic and organic release to date.
Faithful to the spirit of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy’s timeless legacy, Greystone Canyon delivers a warm, punchy, and honest version of “Suicide”, enriched by their signature blend of melodic rock and gritty hard-edged groove. Recorded live with no click tracks or studio trickery, the single captures the raw chemistry of a band feeding off one another in the room – a true celebration of rock ‘n’ roll energy.
Produced by the band and engineered by Joel Taylor at Black Lodge Studio (Melbourne), “Something Borrowed…Something New” represents a turning point in Greystone Canyon’s journey. As the title suggests, it’s a hybrid record – a mix of new original songs and hand-picked classics from the bands that shaped their sound, including Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, UFO, and Neil Young. The album bridges past and present, combining heartfelt tributes with fresh, road-worn originals such as “Drives Us,” “Friend of the Fox,” and “Stealing Our Freedom”.

Vocalist/guitarist Darren Cherry comments:
“This is our most honest record so far, real instruments, real performances, all captured live in one room. We wanted to remind listeners of the warmth and punch that only true rock bands can create together. It’s pure, old-school energy and we had an absolute blast making it.”
Following the success of Iron & Oak (2024), which reached #18 on the Australian iTunes Hard Rock chart and earned multiple 10/10 media scores, the band is poised to bring their music to a new global audience with a record that’s equal parts homage and evolution.
Recommended for fans of Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, and ZZ Top, Greystone Canyon‘s new album Something Borrowed…Something New is out December 5th, 2025
Frontman Darren Cherry, who also performed with Paul Di’Anno’s (ex-Iron Maiden) Australian touring band in 2024, leads the lineup featuring Richard Vella (guitars, vocals, keyboards), David Poulter (bass), and Sham Hughes (drums, keyboards, mastering). Together, they embody the spirit of traditional rock music, played with authenticity, precision, and passion.
The band also performed alongside US heavy metal pioneers The Rods, further cementing their reputation for powerful and emotionally charged live shows.
The band released their debut album While the Wheels Still Turn in 2018, earning critical acclaim from both Australian and international press. The record was named “Debut Album of the Year” by Australia’s national TV program The Hard Rock Show, and received outstanding reviews across the board – including 10/10 from Rock ’n’ Load Magazine and 99/100 from The Metal Mag. Supported by multiple singles and videos amassing over 450,000 views, the album firmly established Greystone Canyon as one of Australia’s most promising rock acts.
Their sophomore record, Iron & Oak, followed in 2024, entering the Australian iTunes chart at #18 for Hard Rock and #82 across all genres, as well as reaching #1 on CFUR North American college radio. The album was praised by the international rock media, with several 10/10 scores, and produced over 250,000 video views within weeks of release.
My Best Metal Buddy Scott Coverdale bought me this fantastic Lita FordLive &Deadly CD several years ago. He has gifted me some sensational vinyl, CDs and concert merch over the last couple of decades and yes, I have gratitude!
This CD was released via DEADLINE MUSIC (a division of Cleopatra Records) back in 2014 and has 13 of Lita’s songs performed liveby her and band. It’s hand numbered 138/1000. As stated on the Cleopatra Records website: Recorded live at “one of Lita’s favorite watering holes” in 2000.”
This CD is still available everywhere online, you can find both the hand numbered version and a more recent version with an alternate Lita Ford photo on the front cover. You can also find Live & Deadly streaming on Spotify or other digital platforms.
Live & Deadly bestows a fabulous production of Lita performing live, with her vocals, guitar and band sounding amazing. This is a necessary listen and/or buy to own for all Lita Ford fans. Lita and her band jam without any fade-outs; plus the crowd cheering included gives this recording that added dose of live vibes! Metal be thy name – Stone.
2025 is another year that hasn’t been kind in the news department, with the passing of music artists. My condolences to the family, friends, bandmates and fans of Ace Frehley, affectionately known also as Space Ace and Spaceman. 74 years old is young, as I’ve grown and been reminded how precious life on Earth is.
Ace Frehley (birth name Paul Daniel Frehley) was a founding member and lead guitarist of KISS and highly successful solo artist during his post KISS career. What a career! Performing live consistently and recording albums that have endured an everlasting relevance to this very day, Ace Frehley kept his showmanship Rockin’ straight into 2025.
As I grew up in the mid 70’s through the 80’s, KISS had that wow factor from their personas to their accessible discography and everything in-between. Ace Frehley was the member of KISS I always wished had more songs featuring him as a singer.
Listening to Ace Frehley sing and play his magic on “Shock Me,” 2000 Man” and “Speedin’ Back To My Baby” will be on repeat for awhile now, as my fondness for this Rock icon has never been stronger. I’ll also play very loud Aces’ guitar splendor with the KISS classic: “What Makes The World Go ‘Round.” Plus, the albums of Frehley’s Comet will be bringing back good times memories as well, for the remainder of my life.
Thank you, Ace Frehley, and rest and also rock in peace. You were a major soundtrack to my life. That one time I saw you perform live, with your band Frehley’s Comet, I’ll continue to cherish and talk about forever. God Bless your soul, Space Ace. – Stone

BulletBoys, Mick Box and Bob Daisley have collaborated on covering the Classic Rock gem “Takin’ It To The Streets”. This cover song has been newly released via Cleopatra. Originally recorded and released by The Doobie Brothers back in 1976, “Takin It To The Streets” is the title track from The Doobie Brothers’ sixth studio album.
My love for Classic Rock knows no boundaries and once I discovered this cover version on Spotify I was all ears and grinning. Take into account my deep respect and loyalty to guitarist Mick Box and bassist Bob Daisley and I’m instantly transported into a 1970s and 80s Rockin’ daze!
BulletBoys vocalist Marq Torien shows off hissmooth and soulful vocals brilliantly on this cover; a contrast from his patented Hard Rock and Heavy Metal pipes he’s famously known for. Just hearing these music legends jamming on “Takin’ It To The Streets” has me yearning (hopefully) for more surprises to come from them!
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Michael McDonald wrote and originally sung the hit single “Takin It To The Streets”.
Mick Box is world famous as the lead guitarist and songwriter of Uriah Heep, going back to their founding.
Bob Daisley is a legendary bassist and songwriter. He has been a member of Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne’s Blizzard Of Ozz, and Uriah Heep, to name a few.
Thank you for reading this post and stay safe out there! – Stone
I bought this CD single of Black Sabbaths’ “Paranoid” with the B side of “Iron Man” back around 2007. If I remember correctly, I found this little metal gem at Best Buy. The CD tray slides out from the cardboard jacket.
I can’t find the actual release date for this CD single, yet it was released to promote Black Box: The Complete Black Sabbath 1970-1978; which was released back on April 27, 2004, via Warner Bros./Rhino.
Black Sabbaths’ Paranoid studio album was originally released in Europe on Sept. 18, 1970 and includes both “Paranoid” and “Iron Man”.
Black Sabbath: Tony Iommi (guitar), Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Geezer Butler (bass), Bill Ward (drums)

Dec. 5, 2023 – The Cult, who celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2024, see their adventurous and highly-regarded debut album, Dreamtime, released as a special 40th anniversary vinyl variant on Feb. 23 via Beggars Banquet.
Originally released in 1984, following the band’s evolution from the Southern Death Cult, to Death Cult, and then simply The Cult, Dreamtime finds the outfit featuring Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, pivoting from their goth and punk roots into something eclectic, aspirational, and adventurous. Rife with lyrical references to the indigenous cultures of the Americas and Australia, and set against a more bombastic and muscular musical backdrop, Dreamtime hints at what would envelop the band over the next four decades, a dedication to their wholly unique songwriting, both musically and thematically, and the frenzy that was soon to come with the release of Love only a year later.
“Spiritwalker,” the first single from the album, hit #1 on the U.K.’s independent chart.
A1. Horse Nation A2. Spiritwalker A3. 83rd Dream A4. Butterflied A5. Go West
B1. Gimmick B2. A Flower In the Desert B3. Dreamtime B4. Rider In the Snow B5. Bad Medicine Waltz
The Cult formed in 1984 England, with the seminal post-punk band going on to sell in excess of four million albums with numerous international and U.S. gold and platinum certifications. Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (guitar) have released 11 studio albums over The Cult’s 40-year career. The band, dubbed “Shamanic goths” by Classic Rock Magazine, found international renown with the 1985 album, Love, which featured the enduring rock anthem “She Sells Sanctuary,” as well as the oft-heard follow-up single “Rain.”
Electric arrived in 1989, with Rolling Stone saying the collection of songs (particularly “Love Removal Machine,” “Wild Flower” and “Lil’ Devil”) “swaggers, crunches and howls.” Most recently, The Cult released Under the Midnight Sun. Mojo, in a review of the eight-song album, said “rock’s unquenchable melodramatists have the fire in their eyes still.”
In late 2023, Astbury and Duffy reformed Death Cult for a series of live performances including a sole U.S. date at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel and a limited run of U.K. dates including back-to-back sold out shows at the Brixton Electric.
With remarkable records such as the self-titled Voodoo Circle or Locked & Loaded, Alex Beyrodt’s VOODOO CIRCLE quickly establish themselves as the epitome of quality in classic hard rock. This band has it all: lots of experience featuring members of PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER and PINK CREAM 69, outstanding songwriting skills and musicianship, passion and a sense for great hooks.
It’s obvious that VOODOO CIRCLE have enhanced their classic rock repertoire on the highest level. A German band never before sounded that international, with that much “American Hard Rock“ in their blood. These melodic anthems, cultivated by the powerful voice of David Readman, the tasteful Hammond-sounds by Jimmy Kresic, Mat Sinner’s as usual precise bass foundation and Markus Kullmann’s drumming in best Bonham tradition, appear to come down right from the Olympus of hard rock.
To shorten your wait for a new studio offering to follow in the hopefully not so distant future, on December 1, 2023, VOODOO CIRCLE present their Best Of “15 Years Of Voodoo” via AFM Records, featuring not only highlights of their discography ( Locked & Loaded, Raised on Rock, More Than One Way Home, Whisky Fingers, Voodoo Circle ), but also two previously unreleased tracks! One of them, “Sweet Devotion”, recorded in 2021 during the Locked & Loaded album-era, is now available with a music video, streaming HERE
Says Alex Beyrodt:“Sweet Devotion is a typical Voodoo Circle song with all trademarks. David’s voice blows me away every time. I’m glad that the song now has its place on the Best Of album that will be released soon!“
Quiet Riot brought the noize to the East Tennessee Distillery in Piney Flats, TN on October 1st. The band is celebrating 40 years of Metal Health, Quiet Riot’s third studio album. Metal Health is the first heavy metal album to make it to number one on the Billboard 200 chart and includes hits like the title track Metal Health (Bang Your Head) and their cover of Slade’s Cum on Feel the Noize.
Corey Snowden took to the stage first to an already excited crowd. Snowden is a Bristol TN native with a wide variety of musical influences spanning across different genres. His set was strictly acoustic but kept the tempo and engagement needed at a heavy metal show. He even had a few requests. Corey started his set with All Along The Watch Tower. Throughout the set, he peppered in some of his originals from his album Tennessee Line. Every rock show has that one person who yells “Play Free Bird” but Snowden did it without being asked. He perfectly blended a small part of Free Bird with his original song Brothers of the Road.
Next to hit the stage was Slick Cadillac, a heavy metal band whose set included a blend of covers and a few originals. The band consists of Jeremy Acito on guitar, Seth Cunningham on vocals, Jonathan Taylor on the keyboard, Chris Smith on drums, and GL Bortz on bass. Cunningham had such amazing control of his vocal range that during songs like Jump and It’s My Life he was able to hit the notes in such a way that almost sounded exactly like the original singers. Acito took to the stage like a true rock star and smoothly powered through a few technical difficulties before climbing onto the amps to get the crowd pumped. The crowd interaction was top notch as Bortz made his way off the stage and out to the fans. Slick Cadillac was defiantly a perfect match to play with Quiet Riot.
Finally it was time for Quiet Riot. Fans quickly got out of their seats and made their way to the stage. The energy was high as fans attempted to inch as close as they could through the line of security guards acting as a barricade. The roar of excitement was nearly deafening as the band took to the stage, but the band was louder. They opened the show with Run For Cover, a perfect way to get the crowd head banging early. Lead singer Jizzy Pearl has the attitude, stage presence and vocal capacity to keep the Quiet Riot spirit alive but with his own twist. He joked and engaged with fans as they transitioned into Slick Black Cadillac. The crowd was treated to a Quiet Riot song that was thought to be lost but was found again in 2021 and released earlier this year called I Can’t Hold On.
The Crowd continues to get crazier and by Condition Critical managed to push security as close as they could to the stage. As the song begins, the sound of Rudy Sarzo’s bass dominates the speakers. Fans not only hear his talent but can feel it as well. Sarzo plays with such ease and passion that the bass seems not like just an extension of him but a true part of him. It wouldn’t be Rudy Sarzo without his signature bass licks every once in awhile, which even after all these years still makes the girls (and guys) go crazy. Pearl then turned the mic over to Sarzo who introduced Thunderbird dedicating it to their fallen brothers, Randy Rhoads, Frankie Banali, and Kevin Dubrow.
Sarzo isn’t the only one who made his presences known with a bang. Drummer Johnny Kelly is an explosion behind the kit. He adds his own flair to the ends of their songs and perfectly grasps the crisp sound that Banali created. He played so hard that he busted one of his drumheads. He didn’t miss a single beat as the band started The Wild and the Young.
The members of the current lineup are known for rocking out in more than just Quiet Riot and they let that shine through in more ways than one. They played a perfect rendition of Blackout in the Red Room by Love/Hate, a band in which Pearl is well known. The song fit seamlessly into the set. The lights turned red as Pearl announced the song and the crowd’s reaction was just as impressive as every other song. Sarzo is a former member of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band and treated the crowd to a small taste of a song every metalhead knows. The roar of fans fell over the venue as Sarzo beat (yes with his fist) out the intro to Crazy Train.
Guitarist, Alex Grossi’s presence is known before he even plays a note. Head to toe his appearance screams rock star but his playing says, “ I was born to do this”. Not a note was missed and, if it was, you would never have noticed. He shined during every song but was given the spot light for a spectacular guitar solo that left the crowd wanting more. From the guitar solo, Grossi transitioned the band into the beginning of Black No.1 by Type O Negative representing Kelly’s time with the band.
They ended the show the only appropriate way possible, with Metal Health (Bang Your Head). The crowd was singing the song back at them word for word basically fueling the intensity of the song. Sarzo even played his bass on a fans head. After years of performing, Quiet Riot has continued to build a fan base of all ages. Whether it’s celebrating 40 years of Metal Health or not, they are a band that should be on everyone’s bucket list.
German singer, guitarist, producer Michael Voss has announced the release of his upcoming album, “Rockers Rollin’ (A Tribute To Rick Parfitt)”, due out on October 13, 2023 via Massacre Records! The album will be available as CD Digipak, Ltd. Vinyl LP and Digital formats, the pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!
Voss is premiering a music video for the first album single! “That’s the title track of the album and features all the ingredients that made me a Status Quo addict,” he comments. “A stomping beat, driving guitars, hammering piano and road movie lyrics that keep that ole train a’drivin on.
I especially love the breaks of the chorus with its fine chord changes. Co-writer Jackie Lynton told me it was composed after Rick gave Jackie a white metal framed Harrods piano as a present! … Yeah, they had to catch that train… What a great tune to kick off with… it simply rawwksss!”
The clip for “Rockers Rollin'” is now streaming HERE
From almost year one, Michael Voss has been a huge Status Quo fan after attending his first live concert in a big arena in 1979 at Halle Münsterland, where dumbstruck and starstruck he witnessed the mighty Status Quo on their “If You Can’t Stand The Heat” tour.
Rick Parfitt stepped into the spotlight and fired his intro riff of ‘Caroline’ into the crowd, and Michael Voss was suddenly infected with his hard hitting, take-no-prisoners rhythm. Filled with an irrepressible desire to embrace all that is Status Quo, he greedily snapped up all their albums and became an ardent soldier in the Quo Army fan club as well.
Furthermore, Status Quo gave this impressionable 14-year-old the great inspiration to follow in their footsteps by learning to sing play and compose. Many years later he found himself with the skill to render Parfitt’s great contribution to rock music in this tribute to his first all-time hero.
Voss has carefully chosen ten songs, that Parfitt sang and wrote, and now proudly presents them in this glorious rock tribute. “Rockers Rollin’ (A Tribute To Rick Parfitt)” features severals high class guests, who shared the music and stage with Rick, such as longtime tour manager and co-writer of many super hits, Bob Young, original founding member of the Frantic Four, John Coghlan, Rick’s son, Rick Parfitt Jr., actual bass player Rhino Edwards, original band member Andy Bown, Mat Sinner of Primal Fear, among many more!
