CANNIBAL CORPSE – Announce Fall U.S. Headlining Tour; Misery Index and Hour Of Penance Support

CANNIBAL CORPSE will be embarking on their first U.S. tour since dominating the stage as headliners of the Summer Slaughter Tour 2012. This headlining tour is scheduled to begin on November 16th and wrap up on December 7th. Dates and venues are listed below and can be found on the band’s Facebook page. Support will be provided by Misery Index and Hour of Penance. Tickets for the tour will be on sale beginning September 14th online and at your local venue’s box office.

CANNIBAL CORPSE are touring in support of their critically lauded, impossibly brutal full-length,Torture, released through Metal Blade Records earlier this year. On the twelfth studio offering of their inspiring twenty-four year career, the Floridian quintet have never sounded so vital, the album building upon the wealth of powerful, dark, and memorable songs comprising 2006’s Kill and 2009’s Evisceration Plague and pointedly upping the ante at every turn.

LAVATORY – Joins The Pulverised Records Roster

Pulverised Records are pleased to announce the latest addition to their roster of brutality: Malaysian Death Metal deviants, LAVATORY. Spawned in 2012,  a five-song EP entitled Transgression was issued earlier this Summer and showcases their unwavering penchant for raw, Swede-ian Death Metal as originally conjured by the likes of Entombed, Carcass and Dismember. LAVATORY is currently working on their full-length debut. In the meantime, sample their delicious sonic decay below!

Malaysian war-themed Death Metal soldiers, Humiliation, have signed a multi-album deal with Deepsend Records. Their as-of-yet untitled fourth album will be released in early 2013.

Musically, Humiliation focus on mid-tempo headbangers with heavy anthems of war, lack of humanity and minimal guitar solos. Humiliation’s war has been waged and will continue on until all in their path have been destroyed or join their hellbrigade.

Even at the “Dawn of Warfare,” the band will “Seek to Survive” marching “From Strength to Strength” to raise the Malaysian Death Metal Flag!!

DEEPSEND RECORDS SIGNS ETERNAL REST

Deepsend Records is proud to announce the signing of Australia’s ETERNAL REST. The label will release the band’s debut album, Prophetic, in early 2013. The album was recorded and mixed by Joe Haley (Psycroptic).

Eternal Rest hail from Brisbane, Australia. The band’s powerful energy can be heard on Prophetic, but must be experienced in a live setting to be truly appreciated. This young band is surging forward with their excellently crafted heaviness from Down Under. Their brand of Death Metal is a mix of Immolation, Psycroptic and Martyr, with a heavy dose of ass-kickery.

Eternal Rest have played with many national and international artists such as: The Black Dahlia Murder, Ulcerate, Sybreed and Alchemist, to name a few. The future looks bright for these Aussies. Equal parts crushing and ferocious, maintaining a level of musicianship that should be applauded in a scene that’s been saturated with technical nightmares and slow-plodding meh.

INCANTATION – Comments On Recent Tour; Reveals New Album Title

After a successful trek through Brazil with IMMOLATION and European summer festival campaign, Death Metal pioneers INCANTATION are back in the U.S. to wrap up work on their long-awaited eighth album. The band had this to say about the tour:

Guitarist/vocalist John McEntee: “I would like to thank everyone on behalf of INCANTATION for making this festival run our most successful to date. To get the opportunity to play for so many diehard death metal fans was absolutely amazing. We are especially thankful to all our supporters for giving us a warm welcome at all the festivals, you guys were amazing and totally raging every day. Most of all we would like to thank Sam Inzerra [Mortician / Funerus] for doing a phenomenal job filling in for Kyle  on drums. Without you this run would probably not be able to happen.”

Bassist Chuck Sherwood: “To the hoards of thousands that littered the fests of this past run. Old friends and new, brothers whom we shared a stage, and the  unmatched support of the staff of each fest respectively. It’s my hope that our performance reflected the metal rage that you gave us, Hails!”

In other news, the band has revealed that their forthcoming release will be a concept album entitled Vanquish In Vengeance. Expect a November release via Listenable Records.

McEntee comments: “The title track is about the massacre of Saxons in the town of Verdun in 782, called on by order of King Charlemagne. As an album title it has a different meaning to me. Vanquish in Vengeance symbolizes the long history of the band. We have fought many battles over the years to keep things going. We have always stayed true to our original vision and have never caved into trends. After a long wait between albums we are back with a vengeance with some of our darkest and heaviest material to date.”

Band Welcomes Terry Butler And Plans Fan-Generated Set Of Classic Tunes Off First Three Records!

Following 23 shows and 19 flights throughout Europe, today pioneering Florida Death Metal merchants OBITUARY are pleased to unveil the official routing of their first North American headlining tour in over three years! Brought to you by Rock The Nation and sponsored by Fender, the Carnival Of Death Tour 2012 will kick off in Orlando, Florida and tear its way through 20 cities. Further sonic battery will come from reunited DM behemoths Broken Hope as well as Decrepit Birth, Jungle Rot and Encrust, making it among the year’s most relentlessly brutal old school Metal package jaunts.

Additionally, Fender will hosting a special contest throughout the duration of the tour. The Grand prize winner will receive a Blacktop Stratocaster HH guitar. Contest entries will be accepted at the OBITUARY merch table. MASACHIST – Reveal Initial Details On Forthcoming Album; New Track Posted

Polish Death Metal squad MASACHIST have just completed work on their second full-length, Scorned. The anticipated follow-up to the band’s 2009-released Death March Fury was recorded in mid-2011 at Monroe Sound Studio, with final production touches taken care by guitarist Aro. Featuring nine brutal and intricate songs, Scorned will be released worldwide by Selfmadegod Records on September 3rd, 2012.

MASACHIST‘s leader Thrufel comments on the album: “I’m really glad that after a long silence I can finally give you some details regarding our much-anticipated new album. Scorned is 40 minutes of your agony, another relentless death march. You could say that the new album is a natural evolution of our style. This time the songs are much more demanding than those heard on our previous one, while still retaining their primal brutality. Yes, we are still playing 100% Death Metal Kurwa Maæ!”

The album’s cover art and album details for Scorned will be revealed in the weeks ahead. For now, hear the opening track, the punishing “The Process of Elimination,” RIGHT HERE.

 MASACHIST was formed in 2005 by Thrufel (ex-Azarath, ex-Yattering) and Daray (Dimmu Borgir, ex-Vader, Vesania), and later on joined by Heinrich (Vesania, ex-Decapitated, ex-UnSun), Aro (Shadows Land, Torquemada) and Pig (Anal Stench, ex-Decapitated). The band recorded its debut full-length Death March Fury which has since received excellent feedback both from Metal press and the fans around the globe.

SIX FEET UNDER – Return From The 18 Nights Of Blood Tour

Death Metal behemoths SIX FEET UNDER recently returned home from the victorious 18 Nights Of Blood Tour. The short but ravaging trek marked the first live outing featuring newly recruited rhythm guitarist Ola Englund as well as bassist Jeff Hughell [ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile] and systematically bludgeoned all in its path.

HOUR OF PENANCE – Announce New Drummer, Sign Endorsement Deals

Italian Death Metal horde HOUR OF PENANCE have announced the addition of drummer James Payne (Hiss From The Moat, Broken Heart Collage) to their lineup. Guitarist Giulio Moschini had the following to say: “Please welcome our new drummer James Payne. I’ve known him for quite a long time and he’s a very talented drummer. We’re proud to have him on board! James will be playing with us starting at Hellfest this weekend, and all of our dates on the Extreme fests here in Europe.“

Payne is currently endorsed By Tama, Vic Firth, and Zildijan and hosts his own YouTube show in which he has interviewed several drummers including Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal, Nile), Inferno (Behemoth), Paul Mazurkiewicz (Cannibal Corpse) and more. Payne commented, “I started my drumming career as a Death Metal drummer, but over the years I ended up playing several different styles. While I still enjoy playing those styles, Death Metal has always remained in my heart and now it’s time to bring it back! I am honored to be playing with a great band such as HOUR OF PENANCE!”

HOUR OF PENANCE’s debut Prosthetic release Sedition proved that the band was a force to be reckoned with. In support of the album — which Outburn labeled an “explosive brand of complex brutality“ and Metal Hammer praised for its “epic, portentous atmosphere” — the band took on their first assault of North America alongside Nile, Skeletonwitch and The Black Dahlia Murder. REIGN OF VENGEANCE – Announces New & Forthcoming EP

Arizona Death Maniacs REIGN OF VENGEANCE have started work on the follow-up to their 2011 release, Disemboweling Swine. Front man and founder Marshall “Fucking” Beck made the following statement about the forthcoming EP:

“REIGN OF VENGEANCE has begun pre-production on a new five song EP. I can promise that as of right now this album will be extremely dangerous, simply because of its lyrical content. The music, as always, is speaking for itself in terms of masterly crafted horror oriented brutality. Over the past couple of years I have begun to run within certain circles and have obtained knowledge about certain things that might happen to our deserving and pathetic race of humans within our near future. ZOMBIEFICATION – Death Metal reigns in Mexico and Zombiefication are a legitimate reason as to why. Reaper’s Consecration releases August 14th, 2012, via Pulverised Records and it’s a crushing blow of intense Death Metal to the cranium. Showcasing five deathly songs of cataclysmic quality, Zombiefication has unleashed a must own EP for all Death Metal fans worldwide. Reaper’s Consecration is that seriously good.

Bludgeoning drums and bass, with tenacious guitars, produces a foundation of fury for Mr. Hitchcock’s extreme vocals to tower upon. Guttural and maniacal, the vocals of Mr. Hitchcock are a relishing listen for me. The all-encompassing spooked-out vibe from Zombiefication’s sound, coupled with the eerie nature of the lyrics only solidifies the total impact that Reaper’s Consecration has had on me. Admittedly, I can never get enough of kick-ass Death Metal!

I wish Reaper’s Consecration was not an EP and had 12 songs! All five songs are so ruthless and mighty; making for a convincing display of Death Metal command. Solid production from top to bottom and this EP still maintains a genuine underground feel. It’s my firm Metal belief, that Zombiefication can take a Metal bow for their proficient display of Death Metal thunder. This is meritorious Death Metal that they’ve created with Reaper’s Consecration. Metal be thy name.

In addition, Undead landed at at #30 on the Billboard Top Independent Album Chart, #22 on the Billboard Top Hard Music Albums Chart, #14 Billboard Top Current Albums Chart and #183 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

Let Decibel Magazine hurl your weekend into a sonic maelstrom of brutality with a full stream of Undead, the forthcoming new studio offering from Death Metal monarchs SIX FEET UNDER. Scheduled for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records, Undead was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver) and mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy) at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida.
