FALLEN ANGELS – Seattle Washington’s FALLEN ANGELS have taken me by incredible surprise this year, with their enormously grand album of Thrash Metal glory titled: World In Decay. As an older Thrashaholic like myself, I feel reassured that old school Thrash Metal will live on, due to the likes of FALLEN ANGELS. What a thrill this album is from these fine Thrashers! Holy shit it’s really good.
Track #2 on World In Decay is Nightmare (listen below). While listening to Brad “Bradzilla” Kennaugh on vocals, he takes me back to a time when Thrash on vinyl was freaking king. Erik Hanson and Matt Be Roth are the guitar duo that blazes through this song below, like hell’s wildfire out of control! Bassist Carl Larsson and drummer Steve Spitzbart kick ass. How’s that for being plain-speaking? Whoa.

TODAY IS THE DAY has crossed the Atlantic to begin a month-long tour of Europe, beginning today, Saturday, November 21st, with support for the entire trek to be provided by Italian sludge savages, Grime.
The feral experimental metal trio TODAY IS THE DAY sees founding frontman Steve Austin currently flanked by bassist Trevor Thomas and drummer Douglas Andrae. The band has been touring relentlessly since the release of their tenth studio full-length, Animal Mother, released last year on Southern Lord, taking to the road for long stints with Lazer/Wulf and Abigail Williams; their upcoming European tour will showcase them at their gnarled, refined best.
On their way out of the country, Austin announced: “Our European tour starts this Saturday in Brussels. The tour is of course still on and we are not cancelling. We are going to go about our lives as we normally do and play music for our fans and friends in Europe, not afraid. I hope to see you there! We are with you Europe! Let it rip, light it up!”

IRON MAIDEN – I just bought this December issue of Revolver at Barnes & Noble today and what a read! The front cover is super badass with the tribal Eddie in all of his gory glory! Whoa! I haven’t purchased a copy of Revolver in a few years, due to the fact that I’m into Zero Tolerance, Metal Hammer and other Metal mags. In addition, the internet itself is where I get 90% of my Metal news as well. However, when this issue stared back at me today, I said: sold!!
I, like countless other Metal and IRON MAIDEN fans are ecstatic that the great Bruce Dickinson has beaten cancer. The Bruce Dickinson feature is a must read. There’s a cool article on Deafheaven too, a band I’ve recently discovered and dig. I haven’t read the Coheed And Cambria or Trivium articles yet; I’ll read them though, of course. HELLOWEEN – Below is the official track Battle’s Won from the fifteenth HELLOWEEN studio album, My God-Given Right. This new HELLOWEEN album was released worldwide via the mighty Nuclear Blast Records. I’ve been a fan of HELLOWEEN for decades now and it seems like only yesterday when I purchased the (debut full-length) cassette version of Walls Of Jericho. I still have that cassette from 1985 too. Unbelievable, I know!
One of the finest Metal album releases of 2015 that I purchased back in May is: My God Given Right. I found it at my local Best Buy and there was only one there. This new HELLOWEEN album of European Power Metal has made me feel damn good! There’s that special something about the vocals of Andy Deris and the way HELLOWEEN plays at such a heightened level, with each of their songs. Just an amazing band is HELLOWEEN, both past and present, in my Metal opinion.
When it comes to this Battle’s Won song, I cannot figure out if it’s a pro or anti-war song. Maybe it’s neither? Regardless, I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do. Metal Be Thy Name. – Stone

AGAINST EVIL are from Visakhapatnam, India and have their new studio EP, Fatal Assault, out via Transcending Obscurity. AGAINST EVIL is another fine Metal example as to why the underground Metal world rules. This EP begins with Battle Call, a 49 second intro that boasts both electric and acoustic guitars, a segue for the ripping and tearing The Enemy Within. Melodic guitar playing with clean vocals, this song has memorable seeping from its every Metal crevice.
Speedbreaker sounds like its name; all speed my Metal brethren! Can I say, memorable song number 2? Bulletproof is yet another solid showing of how this band can crunch and pound away with their brand of Metal, while incorporating clean vocals in such a non-subtle fashion. War Hero is my favorite song on Fatal Assault, due to its Power Metal meets Metal anthem and thundering style. Throughout this entire EP, the production is top-grade with obvious Thrash and Speed Metal influence. AGAINST EVIL’s Metal craft has obviously catapulted them to such a fine level of Metal creativity, in my Metal opinion.
It’s very cool that I have been introduced to AGAINST EVIL via their Fatal Assault EP. Guitarists Sravan (vocals & rhythm) and Shasank (lead) are a thrill to listen to. Noble John on drums is a lit stick of dynamite! Siri on bass and vocals is a player too, making it fun for me to crank the bass knob on maximum! Get your Metal radar turned towards AGAINST EVIL and thank the Metal Gods that this band exists. Metal be thy name. – Stone

NECROCOSM was born of fire in chaos during the bleakest period of the year 2011. Three remaining members from a deceased project decided to embrace their dark inspiration and craft music in a new sinister direction. Formation of the circle was complete in 2012. Many beers were had, copious heads were banged and much blood was spilled, as the dark assembly forged this new sonic beast in the crucible of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
NECROCOSM is your shadow in the darkness, your cruel reminder that your time is short and death always prevails. Positivism never being our strong-suit, the growled, grunted, and shrieked lyrical themes are the darkened horizon obliterating all hope, devastating guitar riffs and solos melt more faces than the ark of the covenant, the inhuman drumming annihilates your empty fractured skull and the grinding bass is guaranteed to evacuate your bowels. We are gaining ground slowly but surely, promising to infect the ears and minds of our audience and remind them of the haunting darkness that awaits us all in the end. Revolted Masses were formed in 2008. Their music approaches the area of modern Death/Thrash Metal, with a unique touch of oriental elements. Their lyrics are mainly of a radical political nature.
“Age Of Descent” is their second full-length album, consisted of 11 powerful tracks, It is self-produced, while the artwork is done by Manster Design (Tardive Dyskinesia). The music video for the track “Waltz For The Fallen” is directed by Jim Evgenidis (Head Cleaner). Numerous guests have participated in the album, like Fotis Benardo (ex- Septic Flesh). The album is released under Inverse Records November 13th and it is available all over Europe.
