ARISING FEAR was founded back in 2008 in Augsburg, Bavaria, and affect their listeners with catchy hooks, complex song structures and hard headbanger riffs – all those musical elements meet in the music of ARISING FEAR and give their individual wall of sound a very interesting and powerful attitude.
Followed by an immense number of live shows in Germany, Poland and Italy, with well-known Bands like Emil Bulls, Farewell To Arms or Tenside the band released their self-titled debut EP in September 2009 which received excellent press consistently.

In ARISING FEAR, Alex Rauh (vocals/guitar) , Kevin Pöllmann (guitar/vocals), Tobi Möhring (drums) and Tom Franz (bass) prescribe themselves to the passion for creating their own music which can be considered as a mix of classical Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal and elements of the Metalcore genre.
Currently, the four playful guys of ARISING FEAR are in the studio and work diligently on their debut album “BEYOND BETRAYAL” which will be released on March 29, 2014.
German Heavy Metal masters RAGE are about to celebrate their 30th band anniversary with the release of a unique collection of songs from their outstanding back catalogue.
The Soundchaser Archiveswill contain 30 tracks put on two brimful CDs, covering everything from previously unreleased material or versions, demo recordings to fractions of ideas that finally went to find clear sonic ground. Additionally the 2-CD will contain a bonus DVD including the RAGE performance of last years Masters Of Rock festival.

Austin, Texas Metal unit DEAD EARTH POLITICS have revealed the artwork and release details for their new EP, The Queen of Steel.
Starting on Saturday, March 8, DEAD EARTH POLITICS will kick off The Queen of Steel release week celebration, that will run throughout this year’s SXSW Music Festival. In showcases and on the streets, the band will be out in full force during the city-wide fest in support of the EP. The Queen of Steel will be released as a digital-only, name-your-price download, complete with lyrics and liner notes. The track Redneck Dragonslayer is currently available for streaming at this location.

Florida exploratory Death Metal behemoths, ORBWEAVER, recently waged audio Armageddon upon the US with a twenty-date run of live takeovers alongside fellow Sunshine State sludge slingers, Shroud Eater.

Who’s ready for Epica’s new album The Quantum Enigma? It’s coming this spring!
Marking the beginning of a new era of modernity, heaviness, and no compromises, Dutch symphonic sextet EPICA are set to release their sixth studio album, THE QUANTUM ENIGMA, this spring in North America.
“More than any of our previous albums, this album is a group effort,” states the band. “The only goal we had in mind: creating the album that could lift EPICA up to the next level. Every detail finds its way into a perfectly balanced mix and makes EPICA sound raw and overwhelming.”
Teaming up with producer Joost van den Broek (REVAMP, AFTER FOREVER), The Quantum Enigma was recorded at the Sandlane Recording Facilities in The Netherlands and mixed by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, HATESPHERE).
Creating stunning artwork to accompany the ideas behind THE QUANTUM ENIGMA’s lyrics is longtime collaborator Stephan Heilemann, whose cover art is part of a bigger picture.

February 28, 2014 Cincinnati, Ohio – The Warriors Of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization has confirmed that Boston Power Metal veterans STEEL ASSASSIN will make a much-anticipated return to the Warriors of Metal Fest VII. The band will perform selections from their various releases such as War of the Eight Saints, WWII: Metal of Honor, In Hellfire Forged as well as a few other metallic surprises. The Warriors of Metal Fest VII will be held June 26 – 28 at O’Shecky’s Live Bar & Grill in Columbus, Ohio.

Swedish Death Metal horde Diabolical have been confirmed for Bloodstock Festival 2014!
The band recently confirmed a string of tours which sees Diabolical campaign across Europe over the coming months in support of their latest album ‘Neogenesis. The band are currently on tour in UK with Svart Crown and Ascaris and if that doesn’t wet the appetites of the British metal contingent a return on August 7th-10th to Catton Park, Derby sure-fire will.
Bloodstock 2014 is shaping up to be one of, if not the biggest, Bloodstock yet. Widely respected as the most influential lead guitarist in Thrash Metal history, MARTY FRIEDMAN has confirmed the final track listing for “Inferno,” his first solo album of original material in four years, and his first recording in more than a decade that will be released worldwide simultaneously.
Due out in late May via Prosthetic Records (except in Japan, where the album will be released by Universal Music), “Inferno” – recorded primarily in Los Angeles with engineer Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Children of Bodom) and mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth), features what FRIEDMAN recently told Guitar World is “the most intense writing and playing I can do.”
The album also includes notable guest appearances by several artists influenced by FRIEDMAN, including flamenco/metal acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, Children of Bodom front man Alexi Laiho, Skyharbor mastermind Keshav Dhar and Revocation guitar whiz David Davidson, as well as FRIEDMAN’s first songwriting collaboration with Jason Becker since the pair played together in Cacophony, the pioneering duo of guitar mayhem.
In addition, “Inferno” breaks all genre rules and creates new ones with an exhilarating and musically daring mash-up with Jørgen Munkeby of the acclaimed “blackjazz” act Shining, as well as two tracks featuring vocals by rock guru Danko Jones.
